I can't tell you how happy everyone was when we saw the inside of the cabin. The decorating was an unexpected treat, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked, and we just had a good time. We had movie night in the lower level & opened presents by the fireplace. The kids skied & then went tubing the next day. The snow came down for two days, and out the big windows & with the fire going...it was great! Thank-you for such a nice place, we sure would do it again sometime.

We had a wonderful time in your home! Thanks so much for allowing us to use your home! We celebrated my daughter's "ladies weekend" before she is getting married on October 27, 2012. Her in-laws and friends enjoyed the weekend! God's Blessings

We stayed for a weekend on our third trip to the Deep Snow Lodge and as always had a great time! The home is wonderfully furnished and a great place to unwind in the woods. Being only one block from the slope is great so you don't have to drive to the slopes! We will be coming back again next year!

Our damage deposit was never returned!!
Our damage deposit was never returned!!
We stayed there over sturgis week and had an issue with the garbage disposal on the last day of our stay. Apparently the disposal did not work properly and the food we put down the sink backed up and water overflowed in the basement. No where on the property did it say not to use the disposal. We called them the moment we saw the water (which was a very small amount and we thoroughly cleaned before we left) and informed them of the issue immediately. They didn't send a plumber out until hours later and there was damage that was done that could have been avoided. Their negligence became our costly issue. They even admitted to us that they have had problems with the disposal in the past. So since we stayed there for 4 days and the issue come to a head in our 4 days, they decided that we were going to pay for this damage. This was a problem that built up over many years and we were the unlucky ones to get stuck with the bill. We have tried to request documentation from their plumber to see any written report and they have yet to send us anything actually stating a problem or any damage that was done. We have had many phone calls with these people including their lawyer and NOTHING has been resolved. I don't want this to happen to anyone else as it is very frustrating.

Owner response: Thank You to all of my guests who have taken such great care of the lodge.
Wonderful place to stay
Wonderful place to stay
We took two families to SD on summer vacation and stayed at Deep Snow Lodge for 5 days, renting through Black Hills Adventure Lodging. The lodge was accurately described (both description and pictures) but is, if anything, nicer than the pictures with all the amenities and very well maintained. The beds and furniture were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and the deck and BBQ grille were excellent. It was fairly cold the first few days and we made good use of the gas fireplaces (on two levels), though the basement was a little difficult to get warm via thermostat (I think a set of instructions from the landlord/agency would be helpful). I would certainly stay there again. We didn't ski, of course, but for those that do, you are around 1/2 mile from the Terry Peak ski basin/lodge. For summer, I would note that we were a little farther than we would have liked from most of the summer attractions (typically 45min-1hr). The only other downside was that, though there were many beautiful Cedars and Aspens, there was no view. We toured Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Wind Cave, Big Thunder Gold Mine, Deadwood, and Custer State Park. All were worth the trip and all were about 1hr away from Deep Snow Lodge. All in all, an excellent stay and I would definitely recommend this for either a winter or summer stay. By the way, we would also work with Black Hills Adventure Lodging again as they were very accommodating and made our arrival/departure easy.
