  My husband and i stayed here for a few nights during our visit to Florence. The Apartment is in a great location right off the square with the Uffizi Gallery directly across from you. We walked to and from the train station with our bags and found it no problem. There is an elevator to help you get upstairs with your bags. The apartment is quite large and clean and we were quite comfortable in terms of space and amenities. The only negative is that it's a bit noisy at times at night being so close to the square but that's about it. Lorenza gave us some fantastic ideas on where to eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks at varying price points in the city. We tried several of them and loved them all - thanks so much for a great stay!

  You cannot get a better location than this apartment! Lorenza was very sweet and easy to deal with. The price was fair. Bed was comfortable. Loved it here. Would definitely go back!

  Florence was wonderful and much of why it was wonderful can be attributed to the great place we used as home base. We were in the hub of activity which felt like good walking distance from all the places we went--never very far. There was lots of action in the piazza in front of the building, including some music doing on until late at night which was distant enough that it did not disrupt sleep. Our window opened out to the street on the backside--very fun to stand and watch the goings on in the street below (4 stories). We were greeted by a friend of the owner who could meet us upon arrival. The owner was great at emailing and both the friend and owner made phone calls for us on request. Very helpful for those who don't speak Italian. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. The building felt secure (outside lock, stairwell/elevator buzzer, and then the door lock). The only concern is just a warning about the bedroom/loft. Bed is great and good places to hang clothes and great lighting. We are both tall (6 feet) and the ceiling is slanted and there is a beam near the top of the stairs that would really be easy to hit if you are not paying attention. It is just something to be aware of. As I am writing this I realize we did not take any mass transportation except arriving and departing. We walked everywhere and because of our homebase, nothing was too far. Keeping a map handing at all times made it all manageable.

  My husband and I stayed at this apartment for 3 days and we couldn't have been more pleased. The location is FANTASTIC, especially for the price -- it is within easy walking distance of everything, so centrally located that you could make your way back for a pit stop midday between visiting all of the sites that Florence has to offer. Lorenza and Ingrid were very accommodating and we thoroughly enjoyed their restaurant recommendations -- they were the highlight of the trip! If not for them, we wouldn't have experienced the greatness of Trattoria La Casalinga... twice. The bed was comfortable, the elevator was a unique experience, and the WiFi and washing machine were great bonuses. We hope to make it back to Florence and, hopefully, stay here once again -- highly recommended!

  The location couldn't be better. You walk out the front door into the piazza are staring at the Uffizi. It's like seats in the dugout of a baseball game. Also, Lorenza was great to deal with and the elevator works well and is a blessing after walking all day. But consider this to make the stay more enjoyable. First, you don't want a car at all. There's no place to park, no way easy way to drive to the place or around the area. Second, the bed is up some narrow stairs with a low beam and roof, and the bathroom is downstairs. Going between the two in the middle of the night requires attention and being wide awake for safety. Third, living in a busy piazza means some times loud noise at all times of the night. The streets are narrow and echo. Ear plugs would be wise for light sleepers. Fourth, it was probably just our time of year, but we found quite a few mosquitos and have the bites to prove it. Given that, would I stay there again? Every chance I get.

  Our stay in Florence was perfect thanks to this darling apartment right in the heart of the city. The Piazza della Signoria, right ourtside the front door of our building was beautiful and the ideal spot to venture out and discover Florence. Thanks to Lorenza, we had some great suggestions of places to eat that were off the beaten path. We had some excellent home cooked meals, and fantastic coffees at places mostly known to just the locals. We would definitely stay here again!

  The apartment was perfect for my husband and me. Great location near all the major sites. Very clean. Lorenza was very friendly and even had a bottle of wine waiting for us upon our arrival!

  This is a great apartment in the heart of Florence. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Ideal for 2 people. Everything is in walking distance and Lorenza is a lovely host.

  The photos accurately reflect the appearance of this cozy loft apartment. This was our first visit to Florence and the apartment is located close to a lot of action. We were greeted upon arrival and given a tour of the apartment. As stated the Uffizi is just across the piazza. We enjoyed some wonderful live concerts in the piazza. We also enjoyed having the window open to listen to the hustle and bustle below. If we wanted peace and quiet we just shut the window. Ingrid & Lorenza provided a list of good local restaurants that serve authentic cuisine. Most importantly there is a list of favorite gelaterias. It was our goal to try the best of the best and we were not disappointed. You can't go wrong with this comfortable and conveniently located property. It's close to the breathtaking Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Ponte alle Grazie, and lots of wonderful shops. Thank you Ingrid & Lorenza for helping us with our first visit to Florence. Grazie & Ciao!
