Luxury Penthouse Condo at Red Mountain
- Minimum stay:N/A
- Internet:No
- Pets allowed:Yes
- Wheel chair accessible:No
Red Mountain is one of the longest vertical ski mountains in North America with some of the most challenging and incredible tree runs anywhere. We purchased our place even before the building was constructed which allowed us to put in many upgrades such as granite, hardwood floors, appliances and finishes equal to Sun Valley or Telluride condos. The big timbers, natural stone and furniture provide our guests with luxury stay.
This property is ideal for two couples or two individuals who work hard and want to enjoy more than a bunkhouse feel or flip a quarter to see who gets the master suite-both bedrooms have private baths and offer European pillow top mattresses and down comforters. A big screen is perfect to watch sports, and the floor to ceiling rock fire place makes for a cozy afternoon after the slopes close. Did I mention the heated floors in all the bathrooms.
An over-size deck provides awesome views of Red Mountain, has a gas grill and outside access to the front door. The private ski lockers have heat piped in to dry out your ski boots and clothing. Lastly, the underground parking makes it easy to keep the powder from piling up on your car.
The people of Rossland remain the other reason we decided to buy in Rossland. Terrific restaurants, a gourmet grocery store and all within one mile of the ski hill makes for a memorable visit.

The condo was truly spectacular and was everything described in the property description. - quick 5 minute walk (with ski boots on) to the lift - ski in at the end of the day - gorgeous furnishings in great shape - fabulous attention to making the condo a home with all the little details - beautiful decorations and art - lots of room for 2 couples and dogs - excellent showers in the two ensuites - heated tile floors were a treat - bedding was delicious to fall asleep in - shared hot tub was clean and great and private - everything in the condo was in great condition and all appliances and utensils were well cared for - the property owner was very prompt in returning e-mails and answering any questions we had I cannot begin to say how lovely the condo is. Shelly has put tremendous effort into making it truly a mountain retreat with every city convenience. Everything in the kitchen is available for whatever you would like to make, any glass you require for a cocktail is there. The bear theme was great. The boys appreciated the big screen to watch the superbowl. And to top it off, mother nature cooperated and dumped 15 cm of the fresh stuff our second night there making the area truly a wintery wonderland. We saw the big red cat last minute deals but were not able to take advantage as we are not expert cat skiers. So we made do in the fresh powder on the hill. If anyone is looking for a truly fabulous hillside condo and who demands luxury, Shelly's place is the place. Every condo or house on the hill can be ski in at the end of the day and require a few minutes walk to the lifts. For the next visitors to Shelly's condo - enjoy it. We can't wait to return. Thank you Shelly for sharing your home with us.Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: I have skied for over forty years, and live in Bend, Oregon. Work hard, play hard is my mantra and that is how I live my life.
Why the Owner Chose Rossland (Red Mountain):
The skiing at Red Mountain and the people of Rossland.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
I love wearing my slippers downstairs to the Gypsy Restaurant. Our building feels like a heli-ski lodge at the base of a ski area, and the incredible location to the ski hill and access back to the building makes for a fun day of skiing. In the summer, the wildflowers in July are just a short hike away from the front door.
