The place is so close to Bahia Honda (our favorite beach ever)! Cocoplum also has it's own beautiful, cute, little private beach. The pool and hot tub are the best. We love the garden landscape. It is so quiet/secluded and never feels too busy. The staff is super nice. The tennis court and bball court is really new looking. We love the clean and comfortable house with the real Florida Keys feel and decor. They even provide outdoor grills. We have stayed here 5 times and have stopped looking for a better place because the quality and value can't be beat.

Coco Plum - great place!

We loved our stay at Coco Plum. I would go back there in a New York minute! The beach was beautiful - we especially enjoyed it at night with the warm breeze. It was clean and very well kept - the pool and hot tub were very refreshing. It's a great place - nice and quiet and a 10 second walk to the beach!

Heaven in the Keys

My family and I have visited this Cocoplum Beach condo several times and it has always exceeded our expectations. It is equipped with a kitchen and washer and dryer. It has plentiful room for a large family like mine :) It is right on the beach, has a great pool and hot tub. My favorite are the hammocks. There has been plenty of nights that me and my hubby have fell asleep on those hammocks - VERY RELAXING. I highly recommend this Beach Home to anyone looking for a romantic getaway or a family weekend.

Disappointed

We were disappointed because the pictures looked much nicer than the real thing. The place must have been a nice resort some 20 yrs ago but now it looks a bit worn out and in need of some serious refurbishing. The beach was dirty and smelly. It took a lot of positive attitude to have a great time.

Great location and property at a good price. The units were large with big screened in balcony. Everything was clean and functional. It is a little dated. Think more like older aparments and not modern resort condos and you will be very happy. I would go back without question. Marathon was our favorite spot in the keys. I would like to see a gas BBQ by the pool.

I would highly recommend CocoPlum resort for a family vacation. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful, well groomed grounds, a warm pool, wonderful beach and the condos are clean and spacious. Very accommodating for adults, teens, young children and babies!! Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in the Florida Keys but this place. Thanks for another wonderful spring vacation CocoPlum!! My whole family misses you already and we have only been back home for three days.

Great Place!

The listing and photos were more than accurate, the property was clean and very well maintained and the owner and staff went out of their way to insure that everything during our stay went smoothly. The overall atmosphere was very relaxing. I would highly recommend this destination and will return again. Just about everything is in the unit that you need including laundry soap for the washing machine. Probably the best beach in the Keys and a great swimming pool. The 50 mile drive to Key West is so beautiful and makes it seem like you are there in no time at all. Anyone who complains about this place probably cannot be pleased in any situation.

Easy to relax

I have stayed at a few of the places in and around Marathon--KCB motel, Continental Inn, Blue Green Resorts. Definitely the best choice for comfort, cleanliness, and Oceanfront views. Well kept grounds and beautiful pool plus hot tub. An added bonus is the ability to take a long walk on the beach --perhaps up to a mile. That is very unusual for the keys. We enjoyed the tennis court as well. No need to pack your tennis gear, they have it right there. Living areas are modest but very clean and comfortable. Great place to stay. We are headed back this Easter. Cannot wait.

A perfect get-a-way in Marathon, Florida. So convenient to everything in Paradise.The Beach, Pool, Spa and sporting goods equipment that is available for free, is so wonderful for children as well as adults. Restaurants are just as great as well. Very quiet area well off the main road. Great walking and bike paths. Right on Cocoplum Beach for shell picking, walking and just plain relaxing. Just the most perfect location.

Better than the photos

From the time we walked through the door until the time we left, our stay just kept giving. The owner included all of the details. The decor, landscaping, heated pool, clean beach and the hammocks under the palm trees. Just perfect. I would say though, if you are not good with stairs, this may not be the placr for you. We will be back soon.

This is our 2nd time here in the last 5 months and we're from the mid-west. The people are so accomodating it's so nice...don't remember what good customer service is really like until you come here. Tropical Paradise

My husband and I took our daughter who just graduated from college to Cocoplum as a gift. It turned out to be a gift to all of us. What a beautiful, peaceful place. We especially enjoyed the screen porch; the heated swimming pool; the spa placed in the garden; the lovely condo and ample supplies (great coffee maker); the lovely staff and that the codos are located in a quiet neighborhood: we heard no traffice noise at all. It was a short walk to the fresh fish market and riding bicycles was a joy. We do plan to return as often as possible. If you go, don't miss the Dolphin Research Center just a few minutes away.

We enjoyed our stay at Cocoplum - the kids loved the pool and the beach, and our unit had the best deck in the world. The staff we met were super nice, and the unit was very clean. Having a free washer and dryer also made our vacation much nicer.

Best Beach

We stayed at Cocoplum in January for a long weekend. When we arrived we were met by Renee she was very accommadating as we arrived early. The Beach was the nicest I had ever seen in The Keys. This was probally our 15 th trip to the keys. The unit was well equiped and what ever it didn't have Front desk supplied it. We would go back in a minute. Marathon it self was a great key it was our first time staying there.

Family vacation in the Florida Keys

My family (6 of us) rented for a week January 2011 and had a great time. The reservations were handled flawlessly with great communication. We arrived very late at night and the late check in system was easy. The unit was right on the water (great views of the sunrises!) It is a strange shape (octagonal with circular stairs) but works very well. Lots of room and a great screened in deck. Plenty of seats throughout the unit. The circular stairs would be a difficulty for those with less mobility. Well equipped kitchen, fully functional, although a bit small. Pool and jacuzzi were great and well maintained. The beach was cleaned everyday of seaweed. The beach was great, especially considering the lack of beachfront in the keys. Great location in Marathon to conduct day trips for snorkeling, kayaking, or to Key West. Great restaurants within a few miles (Herbie's, Burdine's, Keys Fisheries) and wonderful fresh fish on Coco Plum Dr within 1/3 mile of the lodging (Three Captains great fish!)Coco Plum was a very professionally run complex with extraordinarily pleasant people. We will definutely return and have already recommended it to others.

Our time at Cocoplum really felt like a real vacation. Well designed units, good overall layout, safe. Each unit has its own laundry which is very nice. Beach is easily accessible, clean with nice white sand and beautiful turquoise blue waters Cocoplum staff are very helpful, efficient and friendly Cooking vessels are a good shape (this is a huge deal to us), we dislike pans with the non-stick coating peeling off! Good quantity and choice of plates, glassware and silverware. Cleaning supplies supplied (clean new scrubbers!)

we had done orlando and now wanted a week on the keys to chill out! how glad we were that we chose this little gem that is cocoplum.we had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroomed home from home! very well equipped kichen lovely dining area and a balcony that could have acommodated 100 people! the whole unit was clean and comfortable and well furnished.the private beach was wonderful very clean and plenty of loungers and hammocks etc.i couldnt fault this resort and can recommend it as an ideal place to stay in the keys.it is a very well run resort under the watchful eye of divina. we are now back in england and freezing weather but already planning our next visit to cocoplum!

This place is the best! We have come back year after year, and enjoy it more & more. The beach is fabulous and the pool so convenient. The condo itself was so clean and comfortable. We had 6 with plenty of room.The condo is easily accessible to many Keys attractions and restaurants. The owner was very helpful , even a washer and dryer for your use.The keys are like a tropical island but nothing is better than the United States and Cocoplum is just like being home but in paradise.

Very Nice Condo

This condo was perfect for the five of us. Plenty of room... really, almost more room than we needed. The beds were comfortable and had top quality linens. We were able to stay here very comfortably and the location was perfect for everything we did from Key Largo to Key West. The one thing we did learn is that you don't come to the Keys for the beaches. All the beaches in the Keys are man made. The beach at Cocoplum looks nice in the picture... and it is better than average for a beach in the Keys. They do a good job of picking up all the seaweed that washes ashore. It's a good place to lay in the sun, but you probably won't find getting in the water to be of much benefit. The pool was very nice and clean, though, and we enjoyed that.

Our First trip to the Keys

Upon arriving at Coco Plum everything was very close to what we expected. We arrived on a Sunday and the keys and some info were in the box as requested. This is a very peaceful resort and we found our stay to be very pleasant. We stayed from 7/4 thru 7/10 and had a great time. The two ladies in the front office were most helpful with every need we had while there. I also had some office work that needed to be mailed for my signature and had to be notarized. D Y brought her notary into the office the next day to help me complete my pharmacutical license requirements for the state involved. She didn't have to do this, but did it anyway, I couldn't thank her enough for that. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. If you're expecting 5-star new age convienence, then don't visit the keys. Most everything there is dated but that's beach life and we enjoyed our stay. Allan runs a good operation there and takes very good care of his clients. You see this in the care from his staff. If I had to suggest anything, I would suggest a pier or something else on the beach. Maybe something more for fishing with kids. The Canal was very nice for boaters but not really set up to fish from, you can but it's not like fishing off the beach. I wanted to bring my boat ( listened to my wife) and did not. BRING A BOAT !! The keys are made for a boat and you can do much more if you have one. Renting can be costly. I would recommend this place to friends and family. Especially older folks, kids can have fun but teenagers tend to get bored very quickly. We had 16 and 17 year old sons. We would definitely stay in Coco Plum again if we go back to Marathon. For the price, you can't beat it.

Piece of Heaven

I have been travelling to the Keys and staying at Cocoplum for over 3 years and would NOT stay anywhere else in the Keys! I love this resort! The beach, pool, and grounds are always peaceful, beautiful and well maintained. The beach is the quintessential "island" beach with palm trees and almost complete privacy; even though the Keys aren't known for their beaches this is one of the most beautiful. The pool and Hot tub are PERFECT and kept immaculately clean! It seemed like we were the only people there even though the parking lot was full at night, we felt like we had the place to ourselves!! There was a little bit of seaweed on the beach during this last visit but the management staff had it cleared daily. The units are a little dated in terms of decor but were clean, comfortable, had everything we needed, and were the perfect place to relax after being out all day. Even though we were in the back units overlooking the tennis court, it was still a hop, skip and a jump to the beach/pool area. The peace, privacy, and beauty of this resort is worth so much more than we paid! This place is a diamond in the rough!

What a dump

This place is a first class dump...Unit that we stayed in smelled of mold and mildew. the sheets looked as they had not been changed upon our arrival. The air conditioning had to work all the time to make the unit tolerable. We did not approach the management of the unit of our problems because we were gone most of the time, but do yourself a favor and stay in another location.

This place is awesome. Its right on the beach and the facility is very well managed. The Condos I exactly as described. Two families can stay at a ver reasonable cost and the units are large enough that you don't get in each others way. The beach is fantastic, but the pool and hot tub also are well maintained and fun to play or relax in. I also love being able to catch local fish and take them back to the facility and cook them on the outside grills. We are having a family reunion there this November.
