We always vacation a couple times of year on beautiful Kauai. My husband and I loved staying in your Ohana. Lovely accommodations in the perfect area. Still missing our daily egg from Crystal! Everything was very comfy and we appreciated feeling like part of the neighborhood. Can't wait to come back...SOON!

Great, cute ohana! Nicely decorated in a peaceful, safe neighborhood. My mom and I had a fabulous time staying here for a weekend getaway! So close to Southside and easy to find! Had a great time and would recommend this place to friends and family. Wonderful family in the main house, too. :)

Clean, safe

The property is as described. It is an excellent value, is new-ish and clean and is in a very safe-feeling neighborhood. The surrounding homes are all nice and new. The neighborhood/property has a distant ocean view and is a couple miles from a tiny, cute town. This is the only place on the island we did not encounter the constant sounds of roosters (which is nice while you're sleeping!) I would stay at this property again if we go back to the island. My feedback (and reason for 4 stars out of 5) is that the owners should get double-wide curtains on the windows that drape to the floor. Also, the rod brackets need to be reinstalled wider than the windows so there is better curtain coverage. What is currently there leaves several gaps that made us feel exposed and lacking privacy (especially since this studio was attached to a home that is lived in.) For those reading this, the curtain issue is not a reason to not rent this space. It is a great deal and the safety of the area is worth it. The family was nice and professional, renting was easy, etc.

We stayed here for 5 weeks in 2010. This time we had hoped to rent their other one bedroom unit, but it is booked a year or more in advance, so we stayed in the studio again. We have a 5 year old and he loves playing with the other children in the house, he never wanted to go anywhere when they were home. Dave and Mindy are the best. They provide clean, comfortable accommodations. There is a laundry and they were generous with us and let us borrow boogie boards. We used the 2 burner hotplate to cook many meals, saving us money as we bought much of what we cooked at the surrounding Farmers Markets. I needed good internet access as I brought my VOIP phone and conducted business while there. Dave went above and beyond to make sure I had good access, even buying a new router. The unit comes complete with a lot of towels, dishes, condiments and even a treat on arrival. There is also a great pool and hot tub available just down the block. You are living in a house with the family, but that was a bonus for us as they have become good friends over our 2 visits we have been there. For short term or long, we would highly recommend staying at this location.

We just returned from an eight-night visit to Kauai, four of which were at this VRBO. It was clean and comfortable. We loved the mattress topper on the bed, the laundry facilities, the beach chairs and bamboo mats that we borrowed for the beach, and having a very safe place to leave our stuff. We took advantage of the location by playing a game of golf at the Kukuiolono Park and Golf Course and eating at Brick Oven Pizza, both located in Kalaheo. The drive to Po'ipu was not too long. Although we had tons of privacy, we were still aware that we were sharing walls with a family. They seemed like a great family, but we were so busy seeing the island that we didn't interact with them much.

Two travelers in their late 20s. We felt like home. Perfect location and ocean view. Very clean, nicely decorated. Studio is equipped with all you can think about which exceed our expectations. Owners are super friendly and helpful. Website description and photos are accurate. Summarizing - highly recommended, you will not be disappointed at all.

Totally Stoked!

Our Kaui condo was exactly what we expected. Actually, it was even better.The unit was thoughtfully and tastefully decorated and had calming and welcoming vibe. We we pleased with the fully stocked kitchen which my wife and I used daily. Crystal, the family chicken was a constant source of amusment and laughter--it was funny to watch her antics, but we had to make sure the screen door was closed or else we would have a visit from our "featherly" friend! The family upstairs was quiet and very sweet, and they were friendly, yet they gave us our space. My favorite thing was surfing with our host. He was gracious and made me feel at home at his regular surf spot, and I was stoked to be introduced to some of the locals who also exuded the aloha vibe. Thank you for a fantastic trip! We'll be coming back! Mahalo, your friends from HB

Wonderful Stay

Rather than stay at a sterile hotel, my family stayed here. We very much enjoyed the family atmosphere, including Sadie the dog, the garage sale, and Butters the kid. The studio was perfect - very clean and comfortable. We could pay more and be closer to the beach, but this place was perfect for us. We'd recommend it without hesitation.

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

No ka oi studio ! Very clean, classy studio with really wonderful hosts. Has that old style plantation feel that makes the whole experience very memorable. A well kept secret, so if anyone asks, tell 'em Maui mo betteh! lol. :)

We enjoyed our stay very much. Too bad grandson was not into surfing. Would have liked to stay longer. When we got home the weather was very hot and we longed for the wonderful wather there.

Kauai tudio

Good owners, good rental, especially for the price on Kauai.Nice area in front to sun and since most of the time is spent outside, a great place to use as a base. The property is about 15-20 minutes from Poi Pu, there are stores and all necesities are close by, no beaches that we could find, but some not too far to drive to. If we are on the southwest side of the island again, we would definitely go back.

A pleasant place to stay with good amenities. Easy access to the south and west coast of the island. Peace in suburbia and away from the tourist hubs. Gorgeous view. Hospitable owners.

Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.
