Great for getting together with friends and family or just a romantic hideaway. The house is on a secluded wooded lot located directly on Black Mountain.

If your looking for an authentic Jackson NH home this is the place. It is truley a mountain getaway. The all wooded interior has the charm of Jackson NH. When my kids were younger they believed Goldilocks lived there before us (they found out it wasn't true when they went to college). The house has the feel and look of a cabin with modern amenities. Enjoy the fireplace and relax with good company. Stay put and write your novel, play board games, or go hiking, skiing, and enjoy all that Jackson and the White Mountain's area has to offer. A great location.
There are 3 bedrooms, a large master king bed, and two of the the bedrooms have bunks (4 beds in each room). There are 2 bathrooms, a full and a half.
There's plenty of room to share the house. A family can take a bunk room, or kids can bring friends ... It sleeps 10 comfortably and the sofa opens to a bed. We will only rent to families who we know will respect the home.

The dining area sits 10. The kitchen is all new, fully stocked (just bring the groceries) . The sofa in the living area is a large sectional. There's a huge TV and DVD/VHS player, games and a DVD library.

We have stayed in the area many times in many different places but this place was by far the best! Its a home, not a condo. We finally found a place that made us feel like we were in New Hampshire. It has the look and feel and energy of a real New Hampshire mountain home. We relaxed by the fire and I cooked us up a great meal. The owners are great! They don't toss out condiments that are still useful, (which we needed) There were even a few bottles of wine we took advantage of (and replaced) . The location is perfect. Its right on Black Mountain, if you have kids, (or your younger than we are) you can walk out the door and go tubing or skiing or snowboarding. We went off to Wildcat which is about 8 minutes away and a beautiful drive. Downtown Jackson was quaint and the restaurants were great. We enjoy hiking and will be back in the fall. We also want to bring our grandchildren to Story land this summer. The winter trip meant a lot to us and it all came together. We're coming back! .Thank you for having such a nice home .Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

My parents' anniversary was coming up, so we decided to leave the city and head towards this lovely home. The home is hidden behind trees that's why we missed the home a couple of times that we even had to ask the local sheriff where the location was! Fun. It was actually perfect because we wanted to escape the fast life, so we hid inside this cozy home. The huge windows face the open woods for serene picturesque mornings. The kitchen had been nicely updated and the leftovers came in handy. I'm glad the owner allowed pets because he had a blast running around outside, my dog thanks you! With plenty of blankets in the home, we were warm on those cold nights. We decided to pick this home not only because it was pet friendly but because despite being tucked away, it was near everything! Heading to Mt Washington only took about 10 minutes! Hopefully we can stay here again soon!Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers.

About the owner: We love the place in Jackson, we call it 'The Cabin'. We made a lot of great memories there. Our kids are grown but they still shake up the place occasionally with a few friends. Our friends and family members still enjoy visiting. We spent many nights warming up by the fireplace after a day of skiing or tubing (great for the little ones) right out the door at Black Mountain and on rainy Saturdays we enjoyed sitting around playing cards, board games, cooking, chatting and relaxing with friends and family. As the kids got older they enjoyed the Saco River , Wildcat, Attitash, and golfing at Wentworth. There's so much to do in the area. We know some great local spots.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
The minute I step into my place I feel relaxed. I enjoy the fireplace and I like to cook (but there are great delivery places near by). I like when my family is all in the same room (that's just me) so the open space is great. The location is perfect, its scenic and surreal. The kids enjoy the family area and having their own rooms with their friends. There are so many fun and exciting things to do up there, Storyland, Nestlenook, ski, golf, swim, relax, shop, antique etc. YET if you just want to sit around open a bottle of wine by the fire it's the most romantic place.
