WELCOME - For the first time in 25 years, we are offering our fantastic LAKEFRONT TOWNHOUSE to families for their enjoyment. Come see why Donner Lake is often described as the JEWEL OF THE SIERRA’S.
LOCATION
The west end and sunny side of Donner Lake is MAGICAL and by far the best and most sought after place to spend your summer or winter vacation. There are lots of other places to stay in Truckee but none of them can offer lake access right out your door, sand beneath your feet, a boat dock and recreational lake sport rentals. Why spend your precious vacation time in a residential subdivision looking at the house behind you when you can be waterside basking in the sun and playing in the placid waters of Donner Lake.
BEDROOMS
Our townhouse has 2 upstairs bedrooms that will sleep 5 or 6 comfortably. One has a queen size Hickory bed, night tables with reading lamps, and dresser. The kid’s bedroom features a Log bunk bed, that can sleep 3, and a night table. Also available is a twin/single rollaway bed and a port-a-crib for any little ones. Also sliding glass doors that gives both bedrooms access to a small deck.
BATHROOMS
There are 2 bathrooms upstairs just off the bedrooms. One has a large double sink vanity with full size mirror and separate toilet/shower area for privacy. The kid’s bath has a single sink vanity, toilet, and bathtub/shower all in one room. Downstairs is a centrally located ½ bath for everyone’s convenience.
KITCHEN
The fully furnished kitchen with beautiful knotty pine cabinets and granite counters features built-in refer/freezer, dishwasher, self-cleaning oven with smooth glass cooktop, and built-in microwave. It is also equipped with a coffee maker, toaster, blender, waffle maker and all the usual kitchen gadgets and utensils.
GREAT ROOM
The corner woodstove with river rock wall makes this room warm and cozy, and with its panoramic views of Donner Lake this is where we spend most of our time relaxing. The dining area is also in this wonderful room. Two large sliding glass doors extend the living area out to a deck that overlooks the sandy beach and stairs to the swimming area so you can keep your eye on the kids.
LOFT
This is where the action is with its entertainment center and comfortable sofa. Whether it is the family watching a new release video or the kids playing their video games, this area located at the top of the stairs overlooks the Great room opening up the living area to the upstairs. That comfortable sofa can also sleep an additional guest.

We just got back from spending 5 days at this wonderful Donner retreat. The condo is clean and very well maintained but the BEST feature is the LOCATION. Just walk outside and you have a nice quite beach area and plenty of dock space to throw in a fishing line. It was quiet and relaxing and you can not beat the lake/mountain views. We would definately come back!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Your townhome is one of the nicest places we've stayed in North Tahoe. Lots of open space for our family of 4, easy in and out, even with the big storm. P.S. Games were good for our snowed in day!Recommended for: Families with young children.

I received this kind email from one of our recent February guests: Your place was amazing!! We got in at 7:15pm and couldn't see much out the windows. We were pleased with your place in general and from your pictures we really didn't grasp the amazing view from your sliding glass windows. We thought we were in heaven the next morning! Our son who is 6 saw it first and came and woke us all up (at 6am) to see it. We did like the modernness of your place and it didn't seem old and dingy like other places we stayed at - the kids actually get scared in those. The place was well stocked and comfortable. Once battleship was discovered by our kids, the battle was on every time we were in the townhouse. We would like to stay there again and again!Did you find this review helpful? We stayed at this lovely condo in November 2010. It was just perfect for our family of four. We have two young kids, who just loved sleeping in the bunk beds and had the time of their life playing and lounging in the loft area. The owners have decorated it beautifully and have all what one needs in the kitchen. The view from the the expansive glass door is just glorious...we would stay there again! Highly recommend.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family of 4 rented this townhouse for the week after Christmas and had an absolutely wonderful time. The place was spotless and the location made it easy to get everywhere we wanted to in north Tahoe - despite receiving around 40" of snow that week! Would highly recommend!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This note was left on our fridge by a young guest of ours. She is 11 years old. I had to share it. What a thoughtful girl. Jane Pedrazzini Thank you so much for letting us stay at your wonderful home. I really enjoyed Tahoe but the feel of coming back here for a wonderful sleep in comfortable beds topped that. You are so lucky to live here. You get a perfect view of the lake which I really enjoyed. Also thank you for all the games you provided. We played games every night! Thanks again! And have a Happy New Year!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Our family of four enjoyed our vacation in this beautiful lakeside condo. The location was ideal for exploring the North Tahoe area and easy to access from highway 80. The description of the property is very accurate, although cannot convey the extra touches that the hosts added. The home is well maintained and tastefully decorated with local and original artwork. The bedrooms are nice sized, and our family of four was very comfortable upstairs. My children especially enjoyed the room with the bunk beds. The gorgeous lake view from the main floor was a wonderful way to greet the day, and we enjoyed the 5 minute walk down to Westend Beach. There is a nice private marina in the front of the property on the lake, with a sheltered area that was perfect for swimming. I would definitely recommend this to other families. Nearby, we enjoyed the town of Truckee, with cute shops, as well as a hiking trip at Northstar and a waterski adventure in Sunnyside, near Lake Tahoe. We also recommend the white water rafting trips down the Truckee River, with Tributary White Water tours.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

We stayed in this townhouse the last week of July 2010. It is a beautiful, well-maintained, quiet and spacious townhouse. The kitchen is very well equipped. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are clean and up-to-date. The is a TV and stereo system, and plenty of board games and puzzles. It is a second-floor unit, and the deck has a spectacular view of Donner Lake--perfect for your morning coffee or just to sit and read. The setting is truly spectacular. You can sit on the dock directly in front of the unit, or sit on the beach between the dock and the unit, or you can walk down a little ways to a bigger beach. We had a wonderful week--kayaking in Donner Lake and Lake Tahoe, and renting a boat over at Lake Tahoe. You can also rent whatever watercraft you want at Donner Lake. There is a grocery store right down the street, and downtown Truckee is a nice place to wander around and shop. There are a lot of neat restaurants--we had a fun Mexican lunch at Tacos Jaliscos and a great breakfast at The Squeeze. We had a wonderful dinner on the patio at Cottonwood which overlooks Truckee. A really spectacular venue is at Sunnyside on Lake Tahoe where we also dined outside overlooking the lake. We also took the tram to the top of Squaw--beautiful! We flew into Reno which is only about 45 minutes from Truckee. The owners of this townhouse live in Truckee and are available in an emergency. It is obvious that they are very organized and want their guests to have a comfortable stay. We would definitely come back here if we visited Truckee again, and we would recommend this property to friends and family.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
