Rent this spacious, sun-filled apartment in the trendy 11th arrondissement and you will be surrounded by top-rated restaurants, art galleries, funky shops and people-watching cafés. Gourmet Magazine calls the 11th the 'New Left Bank'.
This completely-renovated 540 sq. ft. Parisian 'home' is on the 6th floor of an elevator and concièrge-maintained building with secure digicode access. It is situated on a quiet, pedestrian-only cul-de-sac, and the streets are safe for walking, even late at night. Here you are a real Parisian, shopping for fresh vegetables, bread, wine, cheese, meats and fish at your doorstep - the full bounty for which France is so famous. There is also a twice-a-week outdoor market where the best produce is brought in from local farms. And transportation is just steps away: the #9 metro on the corner and the #76 bus across the street.
Inside, the rooms are tastefully furnished with antiques, oriental rugs and artwork. The bedroom, with a separate toilet beside it, has a new queen-size bed. There is also large up-to-date bathroom with full bath and shower. The modern kitchen has all new appliances and is equipped with a service for six. The large living room, with windows taking in a panoramic, unobstructed view of Paris rooftops, has a spacious seating area, as well as a dining table for six.

Earlier this month my wife and I stayed at this apartment for nine days. We made our reservations on fairly short notice and the property owner was impressively responsive. Before, during and after the rental she was easy to communicate with as questions, contracts and keys were exchanged. The apartment itself functioned well for our modest needs. It was very clean and quiet. The shower had all the water pressure and temperature one could want. Validating what others have said, we found the location to be another big plus. In a non-touristy neighborhood with bistros, restaurants, bakeries and cheese shops seemingly everywhere, access to Parisian life was all around us. Perhaps most convenient was the metro being just around the corner, literally steps way. When the City of Light beckons us again, we’ll be checking on the availability of this apartment.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+.

The location couldn't have been more convenient with cafes, boulangies, a grocery store and the metro just steps from the entrance. The apartment was very clean, well maintained and comfortable. It also has a very charming view of neighborhood rooftops. Speaking of the neighborhood, we found it to be very un-touristy yet only a few minutes walk or metro ride from places like the Bastille. There were a number of really nice restaurants within easy walking distance as well. The only drawback was that there were no windows in the bedroom and it felt a little stuffy to my wife.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.
Owner response: The bedroom actually does have a window. One wall is made entirely of glass that looks out onto the sunny, bright kitchen window. A flick of the blind and it's perfect for sleeping.

After a long day of sightseeing, it was great to come home to the apartment and relax. The neighborhood is full of excellent food shops, the people were cordial, and the apartment was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our morning croissants and pre-dinner wine while looking out over the rooftops. With the Metro right at the corner it was easy to get anywhere in the city. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from the touristy locations and experience a real Paris neighborhood.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+.

We really enjoyed staying in this apartment. The neighborhood isn't touristy, but is full of lots of local shops, cafes and bars. There were wonderful cheese, wine, meat and produce shops within steps of the apartment building (as well as a bakery for fresh bread every morning). We looked at a lot of apartments online and this one seemed to have more space than many of the others. Everything was clean, there was plenty of space, and the building is literally steps from the metro.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

We loved staying at your place. The apartment is delightful, as is the neighborhood. We have exhausted ourselves drinking in all the sights and sounds, getting to as many museums, sites, neighborhoods and gardens as we could and yet we barely scratched the surface of this amazing city. We just treated ourselves to a wonderful dinner just down the street at Paris-Hanoi, again marveling at this rich neighborhood, and now we're almost too full of delicious food to pack.Did you find this review helpful? This lovely apartment provides for handy access to the metro. The stop is one block from the apartment and is unbelievably easy to navigate. There is a grocery next door, restaurants, bakeries and a handy internet cafe within the first block or two. I always felt safe. The apartment is immaculate with no noise from other areas of the building. I stayed one week and plan on returning and staying again in the same wonderful neighborhood. I highly recommend this apartment as your place to stay in Paris.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
