Amazing View of the Beach and Gulf - June 1-8 Available!!

  We love our vacations at Gulf Shores Plantations, however, this time we were a bit disappointed with the upkeep of the buildings, pools, grounds, and beach. We stayed in the peach building. -The halls often had a funky and unpleasant odor. -The halls (on several floors) had excessive sand in the carpets (all week). -The hot tubs had a dingy oily film all week, especially the one to the right. We went every day, at different times, and found the dingy oily film to be present. -The wall outside of Connections Cafe is in need of repair. The mortar is cracked and a large 15 inch or so piece of the mortar is broken off. Our condo (which we loved) has an excellent view and is well equipped for renters! However... -Had a funky odor when we arrived, sprayed lots of deodorizer. -The floors were very sandy, so we vacuumed them. -The bathrooms were cleaned but there was hair still on the walls, shower curtain and mirror. -The shower curtain in the master bathroom needs to be cleaned or replaced. It is dirty at the bottom and has a faint sour smell. -The hall wall outside of the air conditioner unit has been repaired, however it needs repairs again. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and well cared for. However... -Trash cans were overflowing on several occasions. -We often saw trash on the grounds around the Connections Cafe. -On two days, not all of the bar-b-Que pits had been cleaned out when we went to grill at lunchtime. The Plantations have several nice pools that accommodate many people and we saw staff cleaning them daily, Rain or Sunshine. However... -The pool sides, especially the clover shaped had a dingy oily film, basically the whole time. -We choose a family vacation at the Plantations with several young children because we found it to be so family friendly in the past. However, the pools were often taken over by baseball teams, who were also staying over. Them staying there was not a concern, only that they seemed to "take over" the area and were too rowdy for the little ones to also be in the pool. The beach is beautiful!!! However... -Was a bit littered with trash. Trash cans were overflowing on several days. this proved to be a teaching opportunity for our grandchildren old enough to understand...We instilled in them to leave nothing but foot prints at the beach. Every time that we would go in from the beach, we asked them to help us pick up at least 2 pieces of trash to throw away. Great lesson for them :)

  The view could not have been better. Most of my time at the condo was spent on the patio. The elevator was always quick so being on the 6th floor was not a problem. The resort's amenities were awesome and the beach was not crowded. The unit was not the cleanest and the patio door from the living room needs attention; however, the doors from the bedrooms worked fine.

  The condo was great! The balcony had an amazing view. It was our first time to the Gulf Shores, the beach was beautiful and not too packed. It was just the perfect weekend getaway. We went to the Hangout Festival and it was a short 20 minute drive. Jennifer was very accommodating, we will definitely be coming back!

  this was our first time staying in Fort Morgan and we were really impressed. the immenities at the plantation were great.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  The condo was good. Tried not to spend much time in the room as we came from Chicago and tried to enjoy the beaches as much as possible. The view is awesome from that high up. Good view of the pools to keep an eye on the older kids. The resort was a great place, good amenities including a nice gift shop for small souveniers and drinks. The beaches are great, love the boardwalk to the beach to save on your leg strength going through the sand. Would probably pick a condo on a lower floor as we were on one side of the building that only had stairs and if you wanted an elevator you had to go to the other side of the building. Climbed a lot of stairs and kept in shape. All in all we had a wonderful time and met some really great people. Will definitely be back to the Gulf Shores area next year. Fort Morgan Island is the way to go, quiet and away from all the tourism, but those things are only a 20 minute drive so a perfect scenario. I would highly recommend the resort. Scott Chicago,IL

  The condo is cozy - clean - and has the PERFECT view! The beach and the water is breath-taking. We enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful time in Gulf Shores, AL.

  Thank you for the great time! We were at the condo over spring break and really enjoyed ourselves. The weather was great and the view fantastic. We hope to be back again. We loved it!

  Thank you for making us feel at home in your condo with all the amenities. The condo is beautiful. Plus, there is lots to see (including local alligators) and do (swimming, tennis, hiking, sightseeing.)
