Nassau apartment description
The Bahamas is famous for its white sandy beaches. And at "Qute & Quaint" at Manor of Love, you have lots of it! It a few feet just outside your door. Love Beach is as beautiful as beaches get, with colorful turquoise water! Relax and enjoy the waters, or swim, snorkel and have some plain old fun!
Manor of Love is located just minutes away from Nassau International Airport.
If you are looking for a vacation where you won't have to be bothered by so many other visitors to our Island, this is the place for you. While there are other long term tenants on the property including the owner, there are only three short term rental facilities. The beach is the perfect place to simply be away from it all - the hustle and bustle of normal city life.
For those visiting Nassau for the very first time there's lots to see. Take a drive along the northern coast of the Island and visit the Fish Fry, a 'must do' for all visitors. At the Fish Fry you will experience genuine 'down home' cooking in a very Bahamian setting. Continue your drive on into down town Nassau and visit the local Straw Market, where hats and bags and much more of hand woven straw items can be purchased. Or visit the many duty free shops here in the city.
A visit to the Atlantis is also a site to see.
But then again, you may simply want to be away from it all - away from it all to enjoy some R & R with your spouse or children. If that's you and what you seek to enjoy, Manor of Love is definitely the place for you. At Manor of Love you will be away from the hoopla and crowded beaches. You may perhaps even have the chance of enjoying the beach alone! It's all possible!

We stayed at this wonderful little place for our honeymoon and had a BLAST! The owners were always very helpful and everyone was super nice! We had the whole beach to ourselves for almost all seven days of our stay. We will be back!

Owner response: Island living should always be an experience to remember. At Manor of Love, it is our pride and joy to welcome and wow our guest. It is rewarding to have our guest leave with a feeling of satisfaction. Our mission is to under promise and over deliver. We are grateful for all our reviews, positive and negative as the negative ones let us know where and how we need to improve. As always, It's Better in The Bahamas.

Our stay at Manor of Love was incredible! Just a short distance from the Airport and very comfortable! The private beach was just steps away.. great snorkeling..and provided us with a much needed few days of R & R ! The property is gated and the car was a huge help! The Owner's were very quick to get the reservations made and even came to the rescue with a wine key:) We had a blast and will definitely stay again very soon!

MOL is situated on a great private beach as long as you can stand the VERY loud airplanes. The airplanes are so loud that you have to stop your conversation and wait for the plane to pass and you cannot hear the TV when an airplane passes. Not relaxing when the planes are going. They come in sprits up to 10 an hour. Timothy forgot to pick us up at the airport. We had to turn on our international phone to get his cell phone number and contact him. We waited over an hour and a half wondering if we had been scammed or not. Finally Timothy contacted a taxi driver to pick us up. The apartment is in dire need of some TLC. There was not one foot on the wall that was not covered with scratches and dirt. So gross. There was a hole in the wall from a new air conditioner so I really hope they paint the entire apartment and fix all of the walls to make it look like they care about the property. It was our opinion that the families priorities are not on Manor of Love as they all work full time at one of their four other businesses. Timothy is not even living on the property anymore. We had three light bulbs that worked in the entire apartment from the time we checked in. You would think that when the maids cleaned the place they would notice there is no light! It is very dark and dank. We had the front door open the whole time to make it feel like we were not in a closet. We tried to call with our concerns but our phone did not work our entire stay. The apartment was not cleaned appropriately. There was sand on the couch. The shower is tiled and the grout in certain places has mould on it or something black? The shower curtain was gross. The bedroom is nice as it has lots of natural light and the view. The bed has probably not been cleaned under for a year. We found a pair of mens sandals which were not ours, a lipstick tube and numerous dust bunnies and dirt. There still was no frying pan and the kitchen was very poorly equipped. One night the barbque ran out of propane, so guests above us called Timothy who did not have a spare propane bottle readily availble. No seating outside to eat dinner at. Beach chairs were broken and there is only 6 chairs and well over 10 guests. They were replacing the beach chairs the day we left. I would not reccomend MOL, I wish we paid more for a nicer place. The large apartments are supposedly nicer.

Owner response: Our property is located on the beach, and we are in the flight path. This is noted already in reviews. Apparently, this guest is very sensitive to noise, while it was not mentioned. It is true that I arrived late, and I explained to the guest that it was a mix up. It was very frustrating for the guest since they did not keep the information on hand that I had sent them (with our contact information). All the matters pertaining to the touch up needed is being addressed at this time. Unfortunately, we had to replace the AC unit just prior to the guest coming. A minor hole was left in the sheet rock as a result. Light bulbs are an easy fix, and wold have been quickly addressed had it been made aware. The apartment ought to have been cleaned properly, and so there is no excusing that. That will not happen again.
Having access to car was nice. We could have gotten by without though. Beach was very nice white sand but beware of oil & tar (can be removed with a cheap cooking oil). View was lovely, nice safe swimming. Snorkeling does not compare to Mexico, Dominican Republic etc. we brought our own gear but not much too see. Planes are loud and very frequent if you're a light sleeper as I am earplugs won't be enough to drown out sound. We felt safe and thought locals were friendly. Nice place for beach walks, swimming, reading, painting etc. Best meal eaten at Twin Brothers. Unit was not spotless as it is in photo's needs major cleaning. We had a toilet leak and had a wet towel on floor for our whole stay a plumber never came after contacting owner. I'd suggest a few simple improvements place felt on chairs so they don't scrape floor. Replace shower curtain, placemats and seat cushions all are very dirty. A small table to place water jug on. Screens on windows, replace broken beach chairs and umbrella. New grill was brought out on our last night but not hooked up to propane. There's no skillet for eggs, stir fry etc. We're pretty easy going and weren't expecting a five star resort but I expected more care to someone who lives on site. We could have complained or asked for a skillet but we just had a12 hour day to get there and we want to relax and unwind on our vacation. We saw and heard 2 small dogs during our stay as an owner of 2 dogs the option to bring our little yorkie would have been a nice option.

My husband and I went there for our Anniversary. It was small but very comfortable. The beach is perfect if you like to have it by yourself most of the time. Beach chairs and tables on the beach to bring your drinks down and a great book.. Saw very few people on the beach. It was nice. If you want lots of people drive a short distance and you will have all the people you care to see. A new small mall is nearby and there is little traffic to reach it. Transportation to and from the airport was greatly appreciated as was the vehicle that we had use of while we were there. I would recomment this apt.

We stayed 22 nights and were extremely pleased! The planes didn't bother us at all, day or night. When they go over, you may hear them for maybe 30 seconds. I'd much rather hear that than some loud partying and music that won't quit!! Apartment was very clean, and well outfitted, including some basic spices in the kitchen! Pots and pans were good quality, and dishes, while plastic, were very nice. There were even wine glasses in the cabinets! We were pleasantly surprised to find that even beach towels were include in the "linens", and there is also a hairdryer, which was not mentioned in the "amenities". The bed was quite comfortable, and there was also plenty of drawer space, as well as a walk in closet, so you can unpack your suitcases and just be at home. It's also quite handy to have the washer and dryer on premises! The apartment was perfect for a couple, but I would recommend booking the 2 BR unit upstairs for 4. We saw that one also, and it's gorgeous! The car provided was also wonderful, clean, and would seat 7 in a pinch, (especially if at least one of those was a child!), but 4 adults very comfortably. It was very good on gas mileage, and I think we only filled up 2 or 3 times, and we were out in the car almost every day. The beach was quiet, and very few people out. Snorkeling was good, and we did see a variety of fish within 100 yards of shore. For truly spectacular snorkeling, tho, try to book a snorkeling tour to the Southwest Reef 7 miles off the power plant. Now THAT was truly remarkable!! The landlords are wonderful, and the pickup and drop off service at the airport is an extra bonus, especially when we came in at 11pm, and had a 6:30am flight out! We did have one minor problem with the front door and they had a repairman there in less than an hour. Internet worked fine, has free local calls via t phone in the room. We used VOIP SKYPE for calls back to the US and sound quality was great.

My boyfriend and i stayed here for my birthday week/vacation and we absolutely adored the place. It is exactly as pictured and described but feels so much better just being here. We felt safe and comfortable the entire stay only wishing we could extend it. Linda and her son Johnathon who did the pickup and drop-off was very pleasant and helpful. We loved the beach, private and away from all the other tourists and locals, just the way we wanted it. A car is definitely a must as supermarkets and local stores are at least 15 mins away. It is also helpful as one will be able to tour by themselves and discover nassau. It is close to the airport as well but the overhead noise from the incoming jets didn't bother us really. We will most definitely return for a future trip and recommend anyone we know to stay here.

Stay at Manor of Love
Stay at Manor of Love
My husband and myself stayed at The Manor of Love for a week towards the end of May early June 2012 and had a wonderful time. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and well equipped and Timothy and his staff were very helpful when we needed anything and answered all our questions. The beach is quiet and beautiful and the swimming is safe and suitable for all ages. Having a car definetely helped as we were able to tour on our own. There are quite a lot of restaurants in Nassau and the surrounding area and we had a delightful dinner at the Poop Deck. Atlantis is a must - we spent a wonderful day there. We would highly reccommend this property to our friends and family. Renee Mississauga, Ontario

This place is incredibly noisy and would not return because of it. Depending on the day the planes arrive in groups of 6 or 7 all day long from 6:30AM to 11:30PM. During the day it wasn't too bad but in the morning and night it was too loud and could not sleep. At the time we were there a laundry room was being built outside the bedroom door, workmen hammering and sawing from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. The place is as pictured. Very utilitarian not charming. Two windows one in the kitchen looking onto the parking area and owners home, one in the bedroom looking out to the beach, you have to stand at the window to see the view. Bed is firm but not hard. We picked it for the price and not to be packed in with large resorts and that was nice. The water and beach were great with a short palm tree for shade. There are 18 lines at Customs + 2 on the far right for residents. Most people arriving choose the middle line, lines are shorter on either side. Visitors do not need to get their baggage checked. It was very chaotic and everyone was lined up in baggage claim, I asked and was told to go right through. Depending on when you arrive the visitor line might not be easy to find. A car is a must but driving is crazy, no shoulders, narrow lanes, a large section does have two lanes in both directions. Driving on the left was the least of the worries. Driving times to Nassau 25 minutes, grocery store and Starbuck's 10 minutes same time for Stuart Cove's Dive Shop in opposite direction.

Owner response: It is most unfortunate that we had to engage in some minor construction at the time of your visit. At times we must upgrade our property, and this was due to the need to enlarge our laundry facility. Construction will be completed in two days. Laundry facilities will be better than ever. We apologize to this renter, and would grant them 3 free days if they chose to return for a second visit. We are in the business to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We thank you for visiting and look forward to making this up to you. We have many guests who have returned, some as many as 3 times. One such visitor is enjoying their stay as I write this. Blessings to you. Please feel free to contact me directly with any further concerns you may have.
The beach can not be beat. If you want a place to plant yourself for a week and read and relax, this is the spot. The beach is right outside the door. It is clean, beach chairs are available, very few people, great swimming and probably snorkeling, but we didn't do that. You can rent a car with the room, but there is also a bus that is cheap and easy to use. Not to mention the driving is a little hairy if you are not used to driving on the left side of the road. The unit itself is clean and adequate, i would not use the word charming. But for the price we were pleased. It is very comfortable for two. The bed was great. I don't think i would want to sleep on the couch for a week though, plus more than two people would be crowded. If you enjoy the nightlife you may want to stay closer to Nassau, but if you want peace and quiet this is the place. Owners are very nice. Oh, this section of beach is under a flight path. There is a lot of air traffic and noise. If that bothers you just bring some earplugs. I would take that over traffic niose and a crowded beach anytime.

About the owner: Timothy & Linda Treco were both born and raised in the Bahamas. We have have been blessed with 4 children. Unlike most vacation rental properties, we live on the property - so we are almost always on hand. This gives you that added comfort while being in a foreign country. More than anything else, we want you to have an enjoyable time of rest and relaxation while you are here.
Why the Owner Chose Nassau:
In 2004 I bought this building to live in, with the view to develop the property later. This is the newest of the short term vacation units that we now have.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
This property is gated and is bounded by West Bay Street (the main road of Nassau running on the northern coast) on the south and Love Beach to the North. Love Beach is considered one of Nassau's finest beaches. The property is on the beach itself.
