I spent 6 fantastic days in Alaska at Ron and Denise's cabins this summer with my family and friends. I've been to alot of places all over the world and this was my favorite vacation. I knew from the phone calls with Ron, this would be an awesome trip. The cabins are beautiful and even more than I expected. The pictures online are great - but just wait until you walk in the front door - WOW! We all grabbed a drink and went down to the fishing docks and were greeted by a show from the bald eagles. They were right by the cabins every day and a couple golden eagles came in as well. Ron set up a halibut fishing trip for us(we limited out) and a fly in silver salmon trip(2 shy of our limit). They were alot of fun. Because of weather, our halibut trip was going to be cancelled. Ron worked hard and got us out on another day - thank you very much. It was so nice to visit with Ron and Denise and get to know them and their life in Alaska. Whenever we came back from a hike or a fishing trip, Ron was around the property to say hi and make sure everything was going well. It's rare to find someone that cares so much about other people's happiness. I am so thankful that I found Ron and Denise. There is nothing that I would change about our vacation to Alaska - other than staying longer. This was a trip that I truely did not want to end. The beauty is unbelievable. There is so much to do - the hiking and fishing are fantastic. In just a short time, you feel like Ron and Denise are family. Thank you Ron and Denise for a very memorable trip. You took the work out of everything so I could just enjoy the experience with my family and friends. These memories are priceless as you both are. The cabins are beautiful and so is the view of the Kenai River. Ron and Denise make a fantastic salmon dip as well. Thanks for sharing it with us. I look at our pictures and can't wait to return. THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DID TO MAKE OUR VACATION SO WONDERFUL. I REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

If you had a chance to read my previous review, you'll know why we're repeat visitors to Eagle Head Cabins! We had originally planned to skip a year and return the following year but missed out on locking down the dates for 2014. Well all is not lost. We'll just come back in 2013 and we're glad that we did. So how did 2013 compare to 2012? Can you say "more fish?" As for the property and accommodations? It actually got better! How can you improve upon perfection? Well if you know Ron and Denise, they'll find a way. We were greeted with an even larger area to fish! So more anglers could fish at the same time. Awesome! To ensure that our fish were kept fresh, Ron had even more vacuum sealers to pack our fish. Need more freezer space, he had it. Of course the cabins and property are still top notch and it didn't disappoint us. With 13 of us, Ron and Denise really took care of us and coordinated our off site activities to include clamming and halibut fishing. I believe that Ron & Denise of Eagle Head Cabins have really made a great impact with our group of friends. They are not only great hosts but I'm also proud to call them great Friends! Aloha and Mahalo! The Gang from Hawaii

My three sisters and I decided to take our mother on a trip to Alaska for her 75th birthday since she had always dreamed of going with our father, but he passed away before they ever made the trip. A lot of planning went into this trip, but I think the easiest decision we made was to stay at Eagle Head. We spoke to Ron and Denise so many times before our trip, exchanging pictures and discussing weather, I think we were friends before we even got there. The cabins and location are beyond perfect. I have never seen such a well manicured and maintained resort. Ron and Denise never stopped working to make our stay comfortable and exciting. They planned fishing excursions and went out and bought stadium seats for back support since my mother was older. Little things like that were done throughout our stay. After our trip was over and we were all reflecting on our favorite parts, we all agreed that our stay on the Kenai River at Eagle Head, watching the bald eagles soar over our heads and seeing so many moose and babies, was the highlight of our trip. I really hope that I can bring my husband and boys to Eagle Head so they can see what I keep bragging about. Thank you Ron and Denise for an amazing Alaskan experience!

We booked a three night stay at Eagle Head Cabins to share a fishing experience with my husband's parents. Ron completely impressed us with his thoughtfulness, generosity and honest desire to help us have a memorable and flawless vacation. Everything we needed to get started fishing on the Kenai (including the perfect dock with cleaning stations) was right there and ready to be used within minutes of our arrival. The property is as beautiful and clean as it appears in the pictures, and the entire grounds are well appointed with everything you will need for an Alaskan fishing vacation! Perfect for school age children, adults and active seniors.

Amazing place! The pictures posted on line are great but they really don't do the property and cabins justice. Ron and Denice take great pride in caring for their place. They were also very kind and genuinely cared about making sure we had a fantastic time. Ron has great suggestions to ensure a fabulous vacation! He even specifically requested a fishing guide that he felt would best fit us. Beautiful place and very kind owners - loved our stay here!

There are not enough kind words to describe our wedding experience here at the Eagle Head cabins. Ron and his wife go above and beyond to make our wedding the best experience ever. It started months ago, when we found the cabins online and Ron and i started communicating via email. He was and is a wonderful , kind man who helped us with our plans including helping us by getting information for us on where we could have our reception. He truly does work hard for you and he really genuinely does care. When we showed up on the grounds we were greeted with NO Mosquitoes. Thats right, NO mosquitoes . He sprayed his entire property with a Garlic and sulfar spray so our wedding would be bug free. ( which it was) Not only did he spray it once but twice. His wife Denise helped me with putting my cake in a safe place and she is as kind as can be too. The cabins are absolutely beautiful, homey, clean and you will never want to leave. Truly an experiance never to be forgotten and we will cheerish the time and memories we made there. Thanks again Ron and Denise. You truly have a one of a kind place and I recommend if you have an upcoming wedding and are looking for a beautiful place to have one. You should consider Eagle head cabins. You won't regret it.

They are very clean and comfortable. You will miss nothing. We were welcomed with open arms. Ron and Denise tried to make our trip as comfortable as they could. We felt like home after the first step we made out of the car. Thank you Ron and Denise for sharing your amazing property with us. We didn’t want to leave after our unmemorable vacation on Eagle Head Cabins in Alaska and definitely will return. Greetings form Switzerland.

The Eagle Head Cabins website seemed too good to be true. Speaking to and emailing Ron on the phone many times prior to our trip made me wonder if this guy is really that "nice." Once we arrived, all our worries literally melted away... as our initial group of 11 drove onto the property, we were greeted by an eagle flying overhead... a sign of good things to come... we hoped... As we drove further into the property, we were in awe... immaculate and manicured grounds, beautiful log cabins and a hard working individual clearing out the driveway near the cabins. Our guess was that this individual was Ron... we were right. We were welcomed with open arms and he made us feel at home as soon as we got there. I think we were all in shock with the beauty of the property and his genuine kindness. Yes, Ron was really that "nice!" Later that evening, we met his wife Denise who is also "as nice" as Ron! Now for the cabins and amenities... Beautiful, solidly built, very clean and comfortable. Accommodations and amenities varied depending on which cabin you're in. Since we were able to rent all the cabins, we were able to see each one. Some cabins had full kitchens while others had smaller ones and others did not... the cabins were beautifully decorated with intricate carvings as well as "trophies" and other artwork that made it known that you are in Alaska! If you like detail work, you'll love Eagle Head Cabins. Private fishing docks were roomy enough to accommodate our group. Three fish cleaning tables are located on the two docks along with running water. We were able to pack and freeze our catch right on property. How fresh is that? Of course we were there to fish but when the fish were not biting (only sometimes) we were able to take in other activities that made this trip exceptional. Ron and Denise helped us with planning other activities such as flyouts, clamming and guided fishing tours. These were also very worth the time. Can you fish all day and night? Almost, as it got darker (around 11pm) we cranked up the open fire pit. It was a treat for the children who roasted marshmallows every chance they got. With the initial group of 11 growing to 15, we were still very comfortable at Eagle Head Cabins. We can't wait to return for the fishing and see our new friends, Ron and Denise (with Max and Rocky of course). Aloha and Mahalo!

Wanted to schedule a fishing trip with sons that we would all never forget. Found Eagle Head on the web and always suspicious when something sounds to good. Everything that I was told met and exceeded expectations. The owners Ron and Denise are fantastic people that go out of their way to assure your trip is exceptional. The cabins and grounds surrounding are kept immaculate and the fishing off the docks is incredible. Ron pointed us to several fun excursions including 4 wheeling that will provide memories forever. We took home a ton of fish, halibut, sockeye salmon and silver salmon. We can't wait to go back the cabins were very comfortable and you are very close to everthing the Kenai offers. Would recommend Eage Head to all ages best vacation we ever had!!! Thanks!!!

We stayed in your Eagle View cabin in September after the crowds of the summer had gone home. We are a group of guys that have hunted and fished together for over 20 years and were looking for place to stay in the heart of the Kenai River. Your lodge certainly fit the bill and was way beyond our expectations. The cabin was clean, quiet (except for us), comfortable, and convenient for our fishing travels. We had a wonderful stay and hopefully we will get to come back soon. Thanks for your hospitality.
