Snail's Pace is an Island retreat that is only a short walk from either the beaches or a quaint resort area. Your view of the sunsets over the gulf from the oversized screen porch on the third level is spectacular. Stargaze (or bird watch) from the open deck.
In keeping with our philosophy while on "North Cap" we have furnished our three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath home to meet our needs for a pleasant sojourn. We trust it will meet with yours.
Typical of many of the Island homes it follows the "upside down," plan i.e., the bedrooms are on the second floor , the living area on the third.

Why the Owner Chose North Captiva Island
Exclusivity. There're not many places you can build a home on an island with all the creature comforts like water, electricity and even TV. And still be comfortably isolated so you can enjoy the peace and quit. There're no cars, no sirens, no one is in a hurry to get anywhere. Acres of wildlife, sandy beaches in all directions. Go fishing, sit in the sun and read a book. Have a lie down in the hammock, it's an idyllic life style.

Wonderful Fun Center to rent jet ski's or boats, and guides for fishing. Shower outside in privacy. It's fun! Sun bathe on the upstairs porch. Dine on the screened portion of the deck. Watch the moon rise, it's so close you can almost touch. See the gulf and feel the tension leave your body. Each bedroom has exclusive access to bath and privacy. Kitchen is fully equipped for cooking up an island feast. Just stop at Andy's Seafood market in Matlacha for fresh shrimp and grouper after you pick up your groceries.

Love Florida. First moved to Key Largo and The Ocean Reef Resort back in the 70's. Then onto Vero Beach where I raised my family. My work took me to Naples and on up to Boca Grande. The charm of the West Coast led me to buy a lot on North Captiva and then build this home. My family and I treasure the time we spend on the island.
