Our vacation was very relaxing and enjoyable. Our arrival was met with an very clean home. The home is located in a very beautiful area. We especially enjoyed the kayak's and easy access to the Gulf. It was amazing to see the manatee's come right to the dock. Standing on the dock watching fish was exciting for the kids. We would vacation again at this exact location. Thank you Joe and Mary.

Holiday Week in the Keys with the Entire Family

We were looking for a place to acommodate kids, grandkids and a foreighn exchange student. With the addtion of the downstairs "hospitality suite" it worked out perfectly. Excellent location on a large lagoon. Sea turtles, various fish, rays and manatees visited each day. A pair of double kayaks (come with house)and 3 of our own allowed us to enjoy the water en masse. Marathon turned out to be an unexpected treat. Nice beaches and great restaurants provided nice side trips when we weren't simply enjoying the great ambiance of the house. Enjoyed our stay very much and would stay there again.

We really enjoyed staying at this house. This is the 2nd year that we stayed there, it is always clean & the view is incredible. Definitely hope to stay there again. All of the people that we have dealt with are extremely nice & Joe is easy to get along with. Would definitely recommend to anyone that is able to go to Marathon. Thank you Joe.

The lovely duplex is a fully equipped comfortable place to stay~with an absolutely fabulous view of the lagoon. Every morning it took our breath away! We had our boat on the dock but also enjoyed the kayaks and the bikes. With the exception of airport noise (unfortunately, often early in the morning) we were overall delighted with our stay here and would recommend it. We miss it already...

Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

Our second stay at your home was just as wonderful! Love the location on the water, the incredible view, kayaking and snorkeling right from the house, seeing dolphins and sea turtles while drinking coffee in the more- just perfect! The home is clean, well-stocked, nice outdoor area with grill, and the ideal place to explore all of The Keys. We'll hopefully be back again and again. Thanks much:)

We really enjoyed the house, I been going to Marathon for lobster season since 1972 missed 3 trips in 39 years, have stayed in all types of housing this was everything Joe said it was and more and he is without the most accommodating individual that i've worked with in a very long time. The pictures were very accurate. Houe and groung were very clean and well kept.I would recommend this property to any one that wants a nice clean house in a good location , only about 5 mins to atlantic thru vaca cut and about 10 mins to the seven mile bridge. T^hanks Joe for a great time hope to be with you next year

FIVE STARS - Great Place Excellent place. Great master bedroom with excellent bed. Twin beds were a little soft but OK. Great kitchen and views. Quiet place. Some airplane noise but only small planes. We used the bikes and kayaks and swam right off the dock area. 2 Large Tarpon (4 ft) swam by within 2 ft of the dock. Small barracuda in the area but no problem to swiming. Nice beach in Marathon. Nice location to go to Key west and also to Everglades for day trips.

FIVE STARS - Great place to stay!!!!!!!! This is the place to stay in Marathon. We had a great time fishing from the dock and swimming. Joe has everything you need right there. Can't wait for next year so we can do it again!

Just returned after staying a week in this rental. Suited our needs to a tee, with 2 teenagers it was great. Was really nice to have our boat tied up in the back yard at the dock, we spent the week snorkeling and fishing. We also liked to area as it is very quiet yet close to the action. Fantastic property with absolutely AWESOME views. We had a great time and really enjoyed staying at this very comfortable and well equipped waterfront residence located almost mid-way between Key Largo and Key West. The weather was unusually cold for the Keys (65* +/-) but that did not stop us from having a great vacation just hanging out, sightseeing and doing a little fishing from the dock. Local restaurants were great! We were incredibly happy with this home and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special location to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Keys. Great owner who cares about being user friendly.

Spent the month of Feb in the east unit. felt right at home, cozy,clean and comfortable. view to the bay is unparalleled, anywhere else. we lacked nothing.There were no suprises, everything was exactly as descibed. the month we were here we grew very fond of the area. The Keys are just what we needed away from a cold MI winter. perfect location btwn Key West and southern Fla gave us much to explore. we wiil be back next year.

Amazing vacation! Just back from a week of pure relaxation in Key Marathon with our kids and their friends-- this was an absolutely perfect place to get away from the real world! We have rented many Florida vacation homes over the years and know we'll be back to this one. The home opened up to accomodate us all but still offered quiet and privacy for parents who don't stay up quite as late (or teens who like to sleep in). We cooked fresh seafood almost every night -- kitchen was fully stocked, unlike most rentals, thank you! Also, the home was very very clean which is important to us. The views of the water from the home were just amazing, it was like being in a postcard. We mixed pitchers of margaritas and hung out on the dock enjoying every moment. Loved the bikes and kayaks, the kids also had a blast watching all the marine life from the dock. A nice beach and good restaurants nearby, and we headed down to Key West for some fun one day. Would higly recommend this home -- wish we could have stayed longer! Hoping to come again this summer.

Relaxing in Paradise, February 8, 2010 By Jill & Bill (Michigan) Stayed the month of Jan. and despite cold weather (the coldest spell ever)the place was just like home. We had everything we needed to relax and enjoy, the place is decorated very nicely with top of the line appliances. We took some fantastic close up pictures of sting rays and a Manatee. Would highly recommend this rental over others we looked at being it has the open water you look out over, not stuck on a thin canal looking across to your neighbor. Look forward to returning again in the future.

Great Vacation, January 5, 2010 By Steve Shoaf (Asheville, NC USA) We arrived at night and didn't know about the view until morning. Nice. We rented a half duplex. The house was clean and neat, and offered good accommodations for two couples. The kitchen (well stocked) was just right for our needs. The manager (Debbie) was friendly and easy to talk to. We spent a week exploring the Keys east and west of Marathon and had plenty of activities to keep us busy. I would recommend this house for a good place to spend time. We all went home relaxed.

Just bought this place from Brenda and we love it! We went down for a week and enjoyed the water - we kayaked across the lagoon with fins, snorkels, a tickle stick and a net and dove for lobster. Enjoyed exploring the area, hanging out on Sombrero beach with our baby, ate at seafood every night at one great restaurant after the next, and made a quick hour trip and enjoyed a day in Key West. My family and friends have just returned from our first visit to the Keys and I can assure you it will not be our last. Although we had a great time, one week was not enough to explore all of the activities and restaurants Marathon and the surrounding islands have to offer. The house was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. We also brought our wave runner along and it was so convenient to be able to keep it at the dock right in the backyard. We were amazed at the number of fish and various other species of wildlife we saw without even leaving home. The view of the water was spectacular! During the week we enjoyed nearby snorkeling, kayaking and paddle boating, all of which were experiences we will not forget anytime soon. We were also delighted by the friendliness of the neighbors and other locals. The property owners, Rick and Brenda, were so accommodating that we just can't thank them enough and look forward to visiting again in the future. We just returned from staying at this wonderful vacation in Paradise. It was everything we could ask for and more. The house was beautiful, the accommodations were perfect, everything that was advertised on the website was as promised. Our husbands were delighted with being able to kayak every day right from the dock and my husband especially enjoyed the fishing from his kayak and the dock so much that I was wondering if I was going to have to go rescue him one night. Us wives enjoyed the relaxing in the Adirondack chairs and just the peacefulness of doing nothing. The hammock was enjoyable along with the great chaise lounges. Looking out at the beautiful blue water and the gorgeous houses every day was amazing. The 85-90 degree weather with no rain also made this one of the most wonderful vacations we have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. The location of this beach house is ideal. You are only about 5 minutes away from Sombrero beach. You are a short drive away from a wonderful grocery store as well as many of the greatest restaurants we have ever eaten in. Key West is about an hour drive. If you book this beach house you will not be disappointed. Everything you need is here. All you need to pack is yourself, your shorts, your bathing suits and flip flops. The rest is here waiting for you. We were fortunate enough to be able to meet Brenda while we were here. What a charming and wonderful owner she is. She went out of her way to make sure that we had everything we needed. While I was there I was having a small computer issue and she had her computer technician guy come to the house within a few hours to fix the problem. That was unbelievable and greatly appreciated. We would HIGHLY recommend this beach house to everyone and would not hesitate to rent it again. We look forward to coming back to Marathon in the future. Our only complaint is that we did not see a Manatee - maybe next time :)" Dan, Kathy, Bill and Kathy Thanks again for the pleasure of allowing us to rent your home. Our family just spent ten fabulous days at this property in Marathon. We are frequent Keys visitors, and were extremely pleased with the house. It was extremely clean and well kept!!! (This is a rave review from me as i am a clean freak!) The furnishings are updated and well kept. The view is to die for...I just sat in the chair and kept looking!! The kids had a ball fishing from the dock. We also snorkeled, took paddle boat rides, fed the manatees and saw a really cool spotted stingray....right at the dock!! We also explored on our boat, and fished in the Gulf. My family is never bored in the Keys. Our favorite activities are fishing, scuba diving, and going to Publix!(OK the Publix thing is a long story- we live on Eastern Long Island and we have cruddy supermarkets!)I highly recommend this property. We were looking to get away from the snow to ring in the New Year 2009, and Marathon was perfect! Plenty to explore at nearby parks and destinations, but very relaxing to simply sit on the dock with some coffee and the pelicans to enjoy the view. Nothing quite like coconuts in the yard to put you in the island spirit! As others have mentioned, this rental is more like a home-away-from-home. "We just returned from our trip to the keys and can't wait to go back. This property is perfectly located at the center of the keys making our day trips to Key West and Key Largo almost too easy! When we did decide to stay "home", it truly felt like home. Spacious, comfortable and well appointed, it's location right on the water allowed us to swim, snorkel or just look at the video and pictures we'd taken. We LOVED our stay and didn't want to leave! The house is beautiful and the view is wonderful. We loved the location - right in the center of the Keys, only an hour from Key West, and all the amenities are within blocks. Hi. We just finished our vacation at Brenda's amazing home on the open water in Marathon. It has everything and more: kayaks, bikes, paddle boat, fishing rods and tackle, fish cleaning table, bait freezer, huge dock and all of the amenities inside the house as well. We had a wonderful vacation staying here with Brenda and Rick. It was like visiting with family. The accommodations were fantastic and Brenda and Rick were more than helpful! The location is perfect, close to everything but a couple blocks off the beaten path. We made some of the best family memories ever (fishing for dolphin fish with the Main Attraction, swimming with the dolphins at DRC and snorkeling at Sombrero Reef. We had a wonderful vacation while staying at this property. It has a beautiful view of the water. My children loved being able to swim right off the wall and also to feed the parrot fish and the barracuda. One morning we even saw a spotted eagle ray swim right up to the wall. The property location is great too. You are close to the airport and all the activities you would want to do, snorkeling, jet skiing, boat rentals, fishing etc. The accommodations were very nice and the owner is exceptional. We loved this place...fantastic open water views, clean and modern furnishings! We fed the fish right from the sea wall (barracuda, parrot fish, snapper, tropical fish) and snorkeled the lagoon...water is crystal clear.
