The pool area includes a grassy Playground Area in a wooded park like setting with Volley Ball chip/putt green, Bocci, Tennis Courts with On-Site Pro. In addition there is a second set of lake View Tennis Courts near the sandy Private Beach with umbrellas, Pier, Picnic and Barbecue Areas, Restrooms, etc. Boat launch nearby.
The upper level of this home has Granite Kitchen Counters and Breakfast Bar, Vaulted Ceilings throughout, River Rock Wood Burning Fireplace, Large Air-Lock Entry Storage Room, Wi-Fi, 55 inch TV, I-Pod Docking, Family Room Converts to the Fourth Bedroom via a Murphy Bed. This all purpose room has Couches, Game Table with. Chairs, Closet, Television and Attached Deck. The deck is split level and faces the lake.There is also a Queen Bed Room with Full Bathroom near the Living Room
Downstairs there is a Bedroom with a Queen Bed and Full Bathroom plus another Bedroom with a Bunk Bed Set, and a trundle bed. Also downstairs on a third level is a newly added multi purpose room with new bath and shower and patio . This room converts to a bedroom at night.
The large Front Air Lock Entry Room Offers Storage Space for bikes, skis, equipment, and Firewood Provided.
Outside is a Multi level Deck with Barbeque, Patio Furniture, Umbrellas, etc.
Also downstairs is an outdoor Hot Tub serviced weekly, and protected from the elements.
Level parking with snow removal provided.
Guests have made their own Toboggan run on the property, and also done Cross Country skiing from the front and back doors. They have also sled on hilly street across from front door. Great family fun.
Besides a great Summer vacation home, The Spring and Autumn in the Sierra's is magnificent, with nearby hiking and biking trails, or just sitting in front of a wood fire and enjoying the crisp mountain air.

I am sitting on the deck, enjoying the beauty of the lake. My thoughts turn to how fortunate I am to be with friends enjoying the Hembrooke's home. Having had the good fortune to enjoy all the wonderful amenties this home offers for three vacations over the years. I always look forward to a return trip. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and spread out on three split levels. If you like to engage in the culinary arts, this is the kitchen made to order. Plenty of cook ware, herbs, spices and a great stove I highly recommend this home to my friends..Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Thanks again, Hembrooke's. We loved your home, and especially the new additions: room and bath downstairs. The two all purpose rooms allowed the kids to do their thing w/o bothering us. And, your idea about the Murphy bed is terrific; we are ordering one for our home! Last time we were here we didn't take enough advantage of the hot tub; but made up for it this time! The new TV with the big screen is super. Thanks for mentioning the beach at Sand Harbor; it was beautiful.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Love this place. We’ve been having week long family get-togethers here off and on over the last 20 years and have booked a week for this summer, 2011. It’s always been clean with all furnishings in good condition. The owners obviously take pride in keeping this place updated and in tip-top condition. The layout is fantastic for family or group gatherings. The spacious kitchen is open to both the living room and dining area and look out on a large deck with a view through an opening in the trees of Lake Tahoe and the mountains of South Shore in the distance. Great private beach and the community pool which is within walking distance is a lovely alternative if wanting to avoid the sand. The “mud room” at the entrance provides convenient and secure storage for your outdoor gear. The listing description and photos are accurate. I have recommended this place to many friends and relatives.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We've stayed at this rental several times for family reunions and have found it clean, well-equipped and comfortable. Things we particularly liked were the kitchen with its granite counters and large collection of good quality cookware, dishes, utensils and a table to seat everyone comfortably. We loved the large deck that afforded a view of the lake, the hot tub and the rustic fireplace There is a private beach with lakeside picnic area and a cabana club with a great pool and lots of activities for children. The location of the house is ideal, being close to shopping, restaurants, trails and casinos.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The property was listed properly. Everything was clean and furniture, including beds, was comfortable and apparently regularly updated. We were able to cook all our favorite meals in the nicely equipped and remodeled kichen. With 2 separate entertainment areas with tv's we were able to to give the kids their own area. We weren't able to see the finished product but they were building an additional bedroom/family room with bath and big screen tv. We enjoyed the hot tub as well as the private beach at the lake. There were many and very diverse restaurants inearby.Highly recommended for a family get away with plenty for you and the kids to enjoy.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: We purchased this home in 1988, and have done extensive remodelling along with an addition. We love the beauty and the peace of Lake Tahoe, and all the amenities available within our Dollar Point Community ( Pool, Tennis, Private Beach), and also nearby (skiing, biking, restaurants, hiking, river rafting, and Casinos.)
Why the Owner Chose Dollar Point:
It's a great place for a family vacation, both summer, autumn, and winter. The Community Pool and Tennis, plus private Beach and Tennis provide so much variety for the family. There are life guards on site, along with swimming, and tennis instruction. The house is cozy and faces south toward the Lake which provides a warm, bright atmosphere. Winter access is level. World class skiing is nearby, and restaurants and shopping abound.
Also nearby are hiking and biking trails, river rafting on the truckee River. Nearby on the Nevada side of the lake is world class Sand Harbor Beach
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Dollar Point is centrally located. We have enjoyed snow shoeing and cross country skiing from our back door; And there are groomed Cross Country trails within minutes. The side of our property allows the ability to build a 'toboggan run' in the winter. In the summer there are numerous hiking and biking trails, and we are close to the entrance to the Pacific Rim Trail. North Shore Casinos are 10 miles away. For a memorable day at the beach, visit Sand Harbor with its magnificant Alpine setting.
