  This beach house is beautifully appointed, in a very peaceful setting (mix of water and woods), and a close drive to great beach towns (South Haven, Holland, Grand Rapids). Mike is easy to work with & friendly. Regarding the house, the rooms are separated around the home so families can section off on different floors/areas for privacy. The room w/ 2 twin beds & 2 trundles worked great for the kids. The home had everything we could want (large kitchen, screen porch, BBQ, parking, etc.) and fit all 8 adults and 3 kids happily. The only downside to this home is there are a lot of steep stairs to climb to reach the beach and the local public pools are less than desirable. Overall - wonderful family vacation!

  It's my pleasure to write a review for the Beach House. The property is ideally located one block from the Lake Michigan beach (association access) on the premier Lakeshore Drive location in Saugatuck/Douglas (a long road and bluff overlooking the lake). The home is spacious, has all the amenities, is tastefully decorated, and is one of the most well-kept properties at which we've stayed. We have at least 5 adults and 5 children with us on these trips and there is ample room for all from the basement for the kids, screened porch and sunroom for secluded privacy, spacious bedrooms, and a beautiful, open floor plan on the main level with a spacious kitchen/dining area. (The photos don't do the property justice and the listing of amenities is spot on). We have visited Southeastern Michigan for 1 week each summer since 2004 and have sampled a number of vacation homes. This property is so excellent that we have stayed here 3 times in the past 5 years (2007, 2010, 2012). And, we will return. The owners are extremely pleasant to work with, prompt in communications, and go the extra mile to ensure their local property manager coordinates any on-site service necessary. I would highly recommend this property for almost any group.

  I cannot put into words how relaxing this home is. From the moment you enter with the welcoming note and the bottle of wine, until the time you leave you feel extremely relaxed & at home. The house is much larger than we expected. We had a very large group (10 adults, 8 kids) and had plenty of room for everyone. Even with the large group you had plenty of space for privacy time. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook every night. I cant think of one thing missing that would have made for a better week. The yard is beautiful and very private. The kids loved the nightly smores on the patio and it is a great setting to enjoy a drink and reflect on the day's events. The owners were very responsive, easy to work with, and had everything prepared for us to do nothing but sit back and enjoy our week. We cant wait to do it again next year! Please note, the steps to the beach are a bit steep. If you have trouble walking steps, its going to be a challenge for you. That being said, we had a woman in her mid 60's who went up and down the steps to the beach everyday without issue, just taking her time.

  A beautiful, spacious home, located on a private, wooded lot approximately one block from Lake Michigan and the association beach. We had a wonderful family vacation (7 adults and 5 children) and all of our expectations were exceeded.

  Our family had a great week at the beautiful Beach House. The spacious Great room was our gathering place each evening as we conversed and played board games and cards.The property is welcoming and landscaped beautifully, the house is comfortable, clean and decorated tastefully. Our active family enjoyed the beach, biked, hiked,canoed and spent some quiet time on the screened porchThis is our fourth year in the area and this is the nicest house we've rented We also picked blueberries and peaches at the nearby orchard.The kitchen is well equiped and we were able to enjoy some delicious meals.Thank you for having such a Lovely Home..

  Our family thoroughly enjoyed the lovely Beach House. The 13 of us had plenty of room for sleeping and gathering. When we wanted quiet time there was always a place to go either inside or on the lovely landscaped private grounds. We spent the days at the beach or sailing, both of which were easily accessible. Although the photos are well done they do not do full justice to the house. The lovely lower-level suite is not even shown. We highly recommend the well-appointed Beach House for family vacations or quiet get-aways.

  A beautiful secluded home nestled among trees with lovely landscaping. We held our family reunion at this home (15 people) and it was large enough for everyone to have their privacy yet the public living areas accommodated us all for visiting, eating or playing games. A nice hot tub in the back yard with Lake Michigan just across the road. The owners have thought of everything to make your visit a memorable occasion.

  The house was fabulous. It was much nicer than the pictures show. The fifth bedroom wasn't even shown but it was lovely. The landscaping was beautiful and maintained, along with the house, perfectly. The owner was very accommodating with everything we had asked for. Our family of 13 spread out all over the house and never got in each other's way. We really enjoyed ourselves. The weather was perfect even though it was early June. We went to the beach almost everyday and the children even got in the water. What a gorgeous beach!! Saugatuck is a small artist village--lots of fun to explore the shops.

  We have been going on our "Fall retreat" with the same friends for around 25 years. This home was, by far, the most wonderful of all. Every single thing was perfect. We couldn't think of anything we would change, except maybe staying longer. The kitchen had every tool you would ever need for a gourmet meal. The beds were so comfortable. I especially enjoyed the sun porch. The decorating was fabulous! The little town's shops were very unique and had the feel of a seaside resort. Every restaurant we visited was better than the last. We enjoyed every second of our trip and hope to return many times.

  Four couples enjoyed every minute at this beautifully decorated & spotless home. We had fun cooking together in the kitchen that had everything we could possibly need to prepare a meal for the group. We enjoyed relaxing on the screened in porch surrounded by the peaceful trees and in the evening in the cozy sunroom or by the fireplace. It is close to the beach to enjoy the sunset or a walk. We also found some fabulous restaurants. Just the place for a relaxing weekend away or a family reunion.
