My brothers, sisters and our families had a great time here. We really enjoyed that it was away from the crowd of Gulf Shores. We all needed the peace and quiet of our hectic lives. We hope to come back next year.
Owner response:Great! We hope you do come back and before long we will be like one big happy family exchanging ideas about our favorite things to do at Brittains' Beacon. For our family the Shrimp Country Boil is always a favorite. Large Stock pot and recipe directions included for all our guests. Happy Vacations and memories to all !!! :)

We used Brittian's Beacon for a family vacation. We had 12 adults and 2 children. The weather was just gorgeous and we enjoyed the privacy on Fort Morgan road. The house was roomy and everything we could possibly need was available. We used the boiler for our birthday party for one family member. It was so convenient. WE are big coffee drinkers and the Bunn coffee maker was a luxury. The ice machine was another appliance we appreciated. I brought some games, but the house had so many board games and DVD's. The view was incredible. Janet and Valerie were very prompt in answering my questions. Janet told me that Tacky Jack's was right down the road, so we enjoyed the food and view there. No wait! (If you get there by 6:00 anyway) I found the place to be very affordable. To buy fresh seafood, travel into Gulf Shores or back to Foley. (It was worth the extra drive into Gulf Shores.) It was a clean place and we plan to return. Thanks for all your help!

We had a wonderful time at this home, as always!!! We have been renting this home for several years, and LOVE it more and more each stay! It is set up to hold lots of family without feeling closed in. Lots of space and light. Of course the view is amazing, and the beach is always beauitful, and never crowded. The home has a comfortable feel, and the extras are awesome!! GREAT Coffee maker, and the ice machine is the BEST! Little added features make a huge impact as you can see with this home. The property is clean and well maintained, and I would, and have, recommended this home to others. Looking forward to next year!!!

This home was just as it was described no suprises. Their were 12 of us on a golf vacation and we had plenty of room for all of us. We also loved the location of the house, right across the street from the beach. I would recommend this house to friends and family. The owners were also great to deal with.
Owner response:Thanks John for your kind words and review of Brittains' Beacon. It's amazing to me how hard it is to get folks to comment online. I guess everyone wants to keep a good thing for themselves. Most Grateful - Janet

We've had the honor of staying at Brittian's Beacon a few times. We love it so much our family comes from all corners of the country to stay here! The beaches are beautiful with some of the best shells we've found on the Northern Gulf Coast. The living rooms upstairs and down, gave young and old places to hang out. The deck facing the gulf became an early morning coffee routine for a few of us, spotting dolphins and Blue Angels almost daily. The fully stocked kitchen was much appreciated by all the chefs in the family and we had great fun sharing cooking. We cooked a complete Turkey dinner one night and a seafood feast another. Every thing we needed was thought of. The kids loved the beach, spending hours in and out of the water. All of us agree, it's our favorite place for a family reunion! It should be your favorite place too! Looking forward to planning a girl's getaway week soon!
Owner response:Thanks Rick and Jayne for your very kind review. It is so stressful picking a location for the "family get together" and I know your info will be helpful for those that have taken on this responsibility for their families. Brittains' Beacon hopes to see you again soon :) Most Grateful - Janet

It was awesome, 7 days of fun in the sun family style. 12 of us from Indiana & Illinois. We'll be Back! Love the area and highly recommend Capt Wes Foxier for an in-shore fishing trip you'll always remember.

We've had a wonderful time with family and friends. Hurricane Dennis cut into the front end of our 2 weeks, but then the weather was beautiful. I'm going to miss coffee mornings on the deck.

This beach house is wonderful! It has everything you could possibly need or want. It is beautifully decorated to a seaside theme, & is quite comfortable. The whole family commented about how great it is. I have absolutely no complaints other than our week was cut one day short on account of hurricane Dennis. Mrs. Brittain was very helpful and concerned about us.
Owner response:Thank you Dorothy for taking the time to comment our guest book. I hope you and your family return soon. Janet Brittain

A wonderful vacation venue. Beautiful view and all the aminities we need. Clean and good cooking utinsils which we enjoyed using. A super "winter" getaway. Our Lab, Abby, enjoyed her stay, too.
