Koele is a spectacularly beautiful area in the elevated center of Lana’i. Adjacent to the Four Seasons Koele Lodge, it has towering pines and rolling green lawns. The bedroom view is reminiscent of Ireland or Lake Tahoe. Unlike the beach, evenings in Koele are perfect for a light sweater.
The island of Lana’i, which has no stop-lights and only 30 miles of roads, is a mere 13 miles wide and 18 miles long. From our condo in the center of the island, Manele Bay is a quick 25 minute drive. It’s easy to spend the morning golfing and the afternoon relaxing on the beautiful secluded beach.
We are located on the 1st hole of the Experience at Koele Golf course which is a short walk from the Club House for lunch or golf.
The townhome has beautiful Venetian plastered walls that enhance the ambiance as well as prevent mold (which helps reduce allergy problems while on this Tropical Island). There are three bedrooms. Two are furnished with king beds and the third has a custom bunk bed with queen-over-king configuration. All bedrooms are en suite.
The living room and master bedroom have televisions.

Just what we had hoped - quiet, low key and an easy walk to the Four Season's at Koele. My son and I played nine holes of golf everday, enjoyed Shipwreck Beach and the pool and beach at Manele. If you want quiet and peace, this is it.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

My family all live on the island of Maui and we always come to lanai for thanksgiving, it is a magical place over the holidays. This time we thought of staying in a private home instead of the Koele lodge, which is where we always stay. From the moment we made the reservation we were so excited to get back to lanai. When we arrived and greeted by private car, for our use, we knew this was going to be a great vacation. We arrived at the home and were so amazed by the beauty around us. The golf course the pine trees, etcetc. When we came in the front door, it was like opening the door to a multi million dollar location. The interior is beautiful, the furnishings were elegant and not what we were expecting. When the rest of my family got to the home, they were shocked as well. We rode the bikes to the lodge for breakfast which was about 5 minutes away, and it was just great. We look forward to another trip soon, and we will definitely stay here if it is available. If you are looking for the best place on lanai in the koele area you have found it. Thanks again for everything and we can't wait to come back......Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

We have had the opportunity to travel to many wonderful places in the world; however, the beauty of Lanai is unmatched and keeps calling us back. We stayed at the Four Seasons in our previous visits. On this vacation we decided to take our kids out of school and stay for an extended period of time. What a great decision!!! We had an amazing time together and really enjoyed the home and the island. It will be tough to beat this vacation. The home is very well maintained and very clean. The kitchen had higher end appliances and everything one would need when cooking meals. The bedrooms were very spacious and our kids liked the bunk beds on the first floor. The master bedroom has a furnished balcony that overlooks the 1st hole on the golf course and the spectacular backdrop of trees. My wife and I looked forward to sitting out there each morning with my cup of coffee while taking in the view. The master bathroom is luxurious and has his/her sinks on opposite ends which we liked! Beautiful home! The island is unlike any other Hawaiian island. It is very peaceful and quiet. No fast food restaurants and no stop lights. This island is a great change of pace. With that in mind, there are a lot of fun and exciting things to do. There are two great golf courses. Manele Bay has 15 of 18 holes that have an ocean view and the Experience course winds through the mountains. My wife and daughter went horseback riding and enjoyed walking over to the stables to visit the horses and feed them. We often walked up to the Four Seasons Lodge to play bocce, mini golf or sit by a fire pit while roasting marshmallows. During the evening, we would play a board game at the Lodge listening to the piano player. We spent a few evenings down at Manele Bay. There was a kids camp that had fun activities while we had dinner and walked along the ocean. We spent a day hiking through the mountains and took another day to drive to Shipwreck Beach on the other side of the island. That beach is great for beach combing. The beach at Manele Bay is great for swimming, snorkeling and watching the Spinner Dolphins. The town has two grocery stores and a couple of neat shops. There are a couple of restaurants in town and our favorite was Pele's - great sandwiches! I would recommend this place to anyone. The owners are great and very accommodating. They were gracious and let us use their Range Rover to get around the island. We can't wait to go back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

We have been coming to Lanai' for almost 10 years and this was our best stay by far! The home is beautifully maintained and the kitchen is furnished with everything necessary. The bedrooms are spacious and can easily accommodate a family of six to eight. Although there were only two of us, it gave us the opportunity to entertain guests and if they wanted to spend the night there was plenty of room. The owners could not have been more accommodating. Everything was organized for our arrival including the car waiting for us at the ferry terminal as promised. They went beyond the "call of duty" to help us with a recorder for the TV so we could watch the Australian Open tennis matches at our leisure. There is a fantastic BBQ on their deck that we enjoyed nightly. The beds are so comfortable that I must admit to sleeping in way past my usual hours as I did not want to leave the peacefulness and comfort of the master bedroom. We enjoyed our usual hikes and bike rides to Shipwreck beach and The Garden of the Gods. We visited Koele's pool on a daily basis, just a 10 minute walk from our Villa. The 20 minute ride to the beach at Manele provided the most spectacular sunsets. An additional treat were the Spinner Dolphins and the Humpback Whales at sunset. Five stars does not do justice to this spectacular Villa and the owners who provided such glorious accommodations and service. We give this 10 stars!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, age 55+.

We loved our vacation here, very quite at night and secluded. It's a large and well maintained townhouse. The furnishings and appliances were all very nice. A short walk to the Koele Clubhouse, no need to drive. Excellent course, the 17th hole has a huge drop off from the tee area, an unforgettable driving hole! They have a fun 18 hole mini golf course near the Keole Lodge, it's free and on "real" greens. We hit a few in the water hazards, it's a tough mini course. There is a moderatly difficult hike from the property past the clubhouse that utilizes part of the Munroe trail, it's about 6 miles RT and ends at an unforgettable view point looking over to Maui and Molokai. It has well maintained trail markers along the way. Check with the concierge at Koele Lodge for a map of the trail. Later we took the 4 wheel drive trail to the top of Mt Lanaihale at 3,370 ft. It was really fun after a rain, but dicey over a couple sections, be careful! We were provided keys to the 4WD range rover in tha garage, we cleaned all the mud off when we got back. There is another course about 5 munites drive away called Cavendish. It's open to anyone and has NO FEES to play - but donations are welcome. I played it in the rain one day, I had the entire course to myself. Great for practice shots. It's a 20 minute drive down to the Manele Bay. It gets hotter down at Manale Bay, bring sunscreen. There are BBQ pits and picnic tables on the beach, bring a full bag of charcoal because the BBQ pits are huge! The Challenge at Manele Bay is another Great golf course. Both major Hotels have pools and spas, we enjoyed all of them. The burgers at the pool bar are from Hawaii grass fed angus beef and among the best I've had anywhere. The food at both resorts is fairly expensive, so we made most of our meals in the fully furnished kitchen. There are no major grocery stores on Lanai, but 3 smaller ones we visited have just about everything you will need including fresh meat and vegatables. The Lanai City Hotel had great live music and food outdoors on the weekend, and it's only about a 2 minute drive. All the shopping on the Island is in Lanai City, just past the hotel. We took the ferry to Lahaina and walked around a few hours. Lots of shopping, food, and people. Overall we had a very relaxing and fun time here, we plan to return for another relaxing vacation!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, age 55+.

My wife and I recently stayed at this home for 4 days. Took the 30 minute ferry ride from Lahaina and arrived at the house which is located in a nice quiet part of the island in a very affluent section of the neighborhood which backs up right onto the championship golf course. We both really enjoyed our stay here, rode bicycles around the neighborhood, enjoyed the patio and the very luxurious bathroom in the master bedroom. There is plenty of room in the kitchen and the rooms are spacious. Overall we were very comfortable in our stay and the guides that drove us up to the home were very friendly. Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle tourist traps of the more popular destinations and still enjoy an authentic Hawaiian vacation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+.
