Our daughter was married at a church close to the vacation house. We wanted a place close to the activities and large enough for family and a friend. The house is very spacious with very comfortable beds and couches. The refrigerator was large enough to store the bouquets and flowers for the wedding party. The neighborhood was full of birds and squirrels to watch. We would definitely rent this house again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I have never met the owners in person, but judging by their attention to details, I must say they are very kind and thoughtful. When we have stayed at VRBO properties, sometimes there are sample sized portions of soaps or only 1 roll of toilet paper. So I usually pack our own dish soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, etc. The kitchen was well stocked with saran wrap and tin foil. There were basic pantry supplies like salt, pepper and vanilla. The bathrooms and kitchen all hand pump hand soaps. There was liquid body gel in the showers. Plenty of linens. Extra toilet paper and paper towels. Everything in the description and photos online was accurate. It was kept very clean and well-maintained. The owners were very helpful and quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends. I know the toaster and microwave are new, but all the appliances seemed new.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you very much for your kind & wonderful review. We do indeed try to think of everything to make our guests as comfortable & stress free as possible. We appreciate your time in posting your comments. We look forward to your next visit to our home away from home. Warm regards, Steve & Rebecca

My family and I just returned from a fabulous stay in this charming house. As frequent VRBOers I have to say this was one of the most well equipped and well organized houses we have stayed in. The house was comfortable and 5 of us fit comfortably. The linens were plentiful, the beds comfortable and everything was more than spotless! The house is terrifically clean. We enjoyed the expansive back yard, the birds and the squirrels! The kitchen was extremely well equipped and we enjoyed spending time together in the very open and inviting living space comprised of the kitchen, living room and dining room. You just can't go wrong staying here. The communication with the owners was always simle, clear and prompt. This house is lovingly and professionally managed and maintained. Thank you for all you did to make our stay such a wonderful experience!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Hi Rebecca and Steve we wanted to say how great our stay was in your wonderful home, when we arrived, after our 10 hour flight from London, stepping into your very welcoming lovely warm home was just what we needed. Everything was just as it said on the website and being three generations of one family it was exactly what we needed for our stay. Obviously being so close to where our son lived was the main reason for staying in the house but we would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling from outside of the USA as it was just so comfortable, quiet and very close to all amenities. If/when we come over again we won't think twice about rebooking with you. Thanks again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for such a lovely review !!! You folks are indeed always welcome in our home. We appreciate respectful & kind folks like you. We look forward to your next visit. Warmest regards, Steve & Rebecca

This lovely "home away from home" was exactly that. It had all the amenities of a well stocked home, from kitchen and laundry supplies such as aluminum foil and detergents to basic desk tools like a stapler and rubberbands. Gloriously clean and comfortable in a wooded yard with wildlife viewing from the patio doors and patio swing - due to the stocked bird and squirrel feeders. Hummingbirds came within 3 feet of me to feed as I lounged on the swing. Master bath shower was awesome! Less than 30 minutes from downtown Houston if you stay out of rush hour. We'll be back.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
