  We took our two sons skiing for the first time! We absolutely loved this place. We sat out on our snow covered patio and watched skiers getting off the lift at Diamond hill. We couldn't believe how close we were to all of the action! We made a sledding run next to the house and built a huge snowman. The fireplace kept us warm at night!. We highly recommend this rental and look forward to returning soon!

  Nice condo in a wonderful location. Everything was more than we expected. John was great to work with. He worked with us on check-in and check-out times and answered all questions in a very timely manner. Could not have asked for more ! Highly recommend this to anyone.Thanks again John & we will be back.

  My family and I had a wonderful time and the condo was so homey and comfortable. It had all the ammenties we could have asked for and it was so convenient to the slope that we could simply walk out our door and be ready to ski! The resort area is beautiful and we found lots to do. We especially were thankful the owners (who were wonderful to communicate with) allowed us to bring our 2 dogs which helped make our trip even more special. Throughout our trip they emailed us just to make sure we arrived safely and to check if we needed anything. We were able to watch fireworks on the mountain for New Year's Eve and this will be a trip we'll always remember. I highly recommend this condo and we hope to return often!

  The place was cozy, nothing huge but perfect for our family of three and our dog. John was very accommodating and flexible to work with. He went above and beyond to make our stay great. Hank you so much. Wil not hesitate to stay here again. Kitchen well stocked with cookware, even saw a crockpot. Close to the slopes.

  Condo was clean and comfortable. Would recommend it to friends and family. Owner was very helpful and accomodating. Wintergreen has many activities to offer...a great place!!!!

  Although this condo has all the essential basics for a stay at Wintergreen, it is very basic. The kitchen is very small and there is no room for groceries in the cabinets. The flooring in the kitchen is worn and kind of dirty looking. The bathroom is also small, but adequate for a couple of guests. However, the towels provided were very worn and questionable for use. The condo is respresented as a "no smoking" condo, but had a very heavy smell of cigarette smoke throughout our stay. I could see this condo as a good fit for a couple of people that want to mostly ski for the weekend and not really hang out in the condo, but it is not a real comfortable condo for hanging out in the off season. The condo owners have been notified of these issues and have already responded that they are going to investigate it so perhaps there will be some improvements made.

  Owner response: We take constructive criticism very seriously, as we hope that all guests at our condo are satisfied! Thus, when we read this review, we were very concerned! This generated visits by our cleaners and a trip by us, the owners. We are happy (and relieved) to report that there is no smoke smell in the condo! We are non-smokers, as are our guests, and we realize that people who stay at our condo treat it as they do their own home. And, we thank them for that! Our condo is about 550 sq ft and its kitchen and bathroom are the same size as the others of this style condo. We have done nothing to alter the size of either. The kitchen is compact, but it offers all the conveniences one would hope to find. We stay here too and we, like our guests, expect that it is fully stocked. We provide fluffy towels. We were sorry to hear they were not perceived as fluffy! We love our condo and we are partial to it and to the area. We love the activities that we can do in and around Wintergreen & Charlottesville, and we love getting away from it all! Hanging out on our back porch, sitting by the fire, or watching a movie makes this a place WE want to come and relax and we are disheartened when people don’t find the same. We appreciate feedback so we can make adjustments. In fact, we have recently installed a new shower head and for the coming winter season and we have purchased a canvas wood carrier and a mitten/hat drying tree for by the fireplace. These were recommendations by previous guests and we gladly welcomed their suggestions! We hope that many others will come to Wintergreen and stay at the condo and, like us, find what they’re looking for. John & Cathy, owners

  We recently visited Wintergreen to attend a friend's wedding and stayed in the condo. It was perfect for our needs. The condo was comfortable and quite and I loved the walking trail closeby.   Perfect location for relaxation and access to everything Wintergreen has to offer. We enjoyed dining at all the resort restaurants and took advantage of hiking, the beautiful vistas and solitude. Owners accomodated our last minute planning and coordinated everything to facilitate our trip. (Thank you both.) Condo is very clean with every necessary amenity. Outstanding Value! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

  My wife and I were looking for a last minute get away. John and Cathy (owners) accomodated our last minute plans and made coordination very easy. Upon arrival, the condo was very clean and offered every amenitiy we needed/wanted. It is close to everything, yet the surroundings offer peace and quiet. We took advantage of all the resort restaurants during our stay and we were very pleased with the quality of food and the graciousness of the staff. We enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect with the beauty and bounty of the resort's natural surroundngs while we also reconnected with each other. 454 Three Ridges offers a convenient escape from the DC area, it provides comfortable and peaceful surroundings, interesting and enjoyable activities for every interest, and is an excellent value. We look forward to visiting again!
