Very comfortable and extremely well furnished with everything one would need. Tim sent lots of information on local vacation opportunities. A ski vacation using this house and Loveland Basin is convenient and saves at least half the cost compared to Breck or Vail etc.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing.

Silver Creek Trail is very interesting and historical with the old silver and gold mines along the way. Loveland is a good place with lots of snow and closer to Denver so you can get back for flights and save time and money with a family trip. Tim

I have stayed at other rental houses on beach vacations and was very disappointed with some of those houses. You did a fantastic job with this house. It was very clean and in excellent condition. 3 Couples in their early 50's went to Georgetown before a wedding. We saw elk in downtown Georgetown and saw rams right across the highway from the house. Our stay was wonderful. We did tourist type activities every day. Some close some far. This included zip lining at Pikes Peak to segways at the Garden of the Gods (same company..ask for Brian). Although this was a two hour drive we were able to come home to a wonderful house with very comfortable beds. Tim, the owner, made sure we had everything we needed including a bunch of treats and coffee! If you stay at this house make sure you go on the Georgetown Railway and spend a few hours in Georgetown. There is something for everyone with in a two hour radius. Mt. Evans was beautiful and must see for scenery. Gunella Pass is right there near the house and we were able to see an eagle, deer and elk in this area. Others that we spoke to saw a mountain lion and moose during the same time we were there. The second time we zip lined in Idaho Springs was ok..I don't have to do again but everything else was perfect. You are less than an hour away from Denver...doing the speed limit....This was a great vacation thanks to Tim. The house was clean, beautiful, beds were perfect and the set up made it wonderful for three couples. Thank you Tim.

Perfect Summer Mountain Home

With 4 teenagers in tow it is sometimes hard to make everyone happy, but we had no trouble here!! The home and location is exactly as described and like others before our Family appreciated all the comforts of home as well as the treats! The hiking was challenging and invigorating and the scenery fantastic. Georgetown offered some great food and easy access to many other areas. While we never spotted a bighorn during our visit, we had fun searching! Thanks Tim and family for your hospitality!

Tim, We had a great time. Only wish we could of stayed longer and watched the fireworks. We did enjoy the parade though and just plan relaxing a little. The boys did a little fishing and Dave took the grand kids hiking also. We are so appreciative of all the supplies you left for us. Dave truly enjoyed the honey with his coffee. The air mattresses came in very handy and we had plenty of room with all of us under one roof. Our oldest grandson who will be 10 in a couple of weeks wanted to start the wood burner but we were afraid of sparks maybe starting a fire so we told him no. The grandsons came to appreciate the importance of moisture for the fires out here. They did enjoy the rafting even though it was low water. We love Colorado and hopefully will be able to enjoy your rental sometime if available. Thanks again.

Hi Tim, We had a fantastic time in the house and the Georgetown area. We have rented a few homes in the past around the country, and this was definitely our favorite! Your home was very cozy, inviting, and clean. We were also quite pleased that Georgetown was so dog-friendly. Our dog was able to go everywhere with us. The gated deck on the second level was a favorite for our daughter and our dog. The access to two trails right outside the house was perfect too. We also appreciated the special touch of the drinks/snacks/toiletries that were prepared for us. Thank you! Thank you for allowing people to stay in such a fantastic property. We all agreed we would stay here again if we are ever in the area.

Oh my goodness! We all enjoyed ourselves! It was a perfect location, with mountains surrounding us and even a friendly deer which we saw each morning we were there. The heated floors were GREAT!! It was a lovely home...Tim was dedicated & prepared. We were able to meet a family of deer right outside the back door. House was clean & well maintained. Neighbors were helpful. Love the lil town of Georgetown. & yes, I'd recommend this property & may use it again sometime, ourselves...Thankyou for your input! only thing- is we forgot our booster chair for our 18 mo. grandchild & forgot to ask if one was avail...as there was a port-a-crib...it might be nice to have a high chair supplement also...(our fault- maybe there is one there??) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay...

Great get-away for two family group

This home was perfect for our two families over the holidays. We put four teenage boys in the master bedroom and the two adults in the private downstairs bedrooms. The beautiful main floor became a great hang-out area for all. We loved the well-stocked kitchen and found Georgetown to be a charming and central location to many ski and day-trip locations. We would stay here again.

Hi Tim Thank you soooooooo much for making our Thanksgiving holiday vacation so special. Your home was everything we were looking for and more. It accommodated all of our needs and OMG the view - what else can I say. It was fantastic. We had no problem finding the house - your directions were very helpful. And yes the house had everything we needed for a thanksgiving feast. It was perfect. Thanks for the recommendations on Loveland Ski resort. We had a wonderful day skiing on Friday - and it even snowed. Also the hiking out the back door - amazing - beautiful trail. Wish we had a couple more days but it's back to work today in Cleveland. Good morning Tim, I just want to thank you for everything. The house is beautiful and Georgetown is a gorgeous town. The first thing we saw when we got to the house was two deers in the driveway which was awesome!! It was snowing which made everything more pretty. We left you some puertorrican rum so you can try it and white wine and also we left you some dominoes, which is a puertorrican game, let me know if you need me to show you how it is played. We had a lot of fun skiing in Loveland even though we were freezing J… the park is great and nobody got hurt, of course we were only going down the green and blue trails J… we went to Mangia and the food was very delicious, we also went to Euro-Grill and the food was awesome!! I hope to go back soon, we had the greatest time there and we are really thankful. Next time I will take a tank of oxygen with me so I won’t suffer the altitude sickness J… well I hope you had a great time in the Dominican Republic and if you ever come to Puerto Rico, let me know, we can give you some tips on where to stay and what to do in the island. ( addition to a previous review from Eric) Exceeded my expectations! The owner went above and beyond what I have come to expect from a rental. I wanted to find somewhere to go for snowboarding and skiing for an affordable price so I decided to go to Loveland Ski Area. I then set out to find lodging and found this house on VRBO.com. Upon contacting the owner I had a feeling it was going to be a nice stay because he was very prompt to respond to any questions and provided a WEALTH of information on the area! I received e-mails with pictures of the house, trail maps, good restaurants, etc., and when we arrived at the house I couldn't believe how stocked the house was! Many times the rentals do not have enough dishes and utensils for actually cooking things but this house had spices, mixing bowls, storage containers, and plenty of counter space for preparing the meals! The overall location of the house is great but I would HIGHLY recommened an actual 4WD or a Subaru in the winter because the little AWD Hyundai Santa Fe I had could barely make it up the driveway with an inch of snow. It is a pretty steep driveway, which is plowed when there is a lot of snow, and I am sure you could do it in a 2WD but it is nice to have the extra traction. Also, A-Basin, if you are thinking of going threre, is south on 6 which is a "chain" road more often than the highway is. Anyway, the house is VERY comfortable! The WiFi worked great, all of the appliances are nice and the beds are comfortable. There are places for skis/snowboards, 3 decks for when the weather is warm, a grill is on the 2nd level just outside of the great room, a big TV with sattelite, and a great wood fireplace! All of the linens, blankets, etc. were provided and laid out ready for us to use and the laundry room is a necessity for light packers:) It only took us 15 minutes to get to Loveland so we could wake up at 7, make breakfast, and still get there at 8:30 when it opens! It took us about 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to the Denver airport and just under an hour to get to Vail for more shopping, restaurants, or actually skiing there. If I go back to that area in the winter or summer I would seriously consider this house again! There is a 4WD only road that continues past the house, traversing up the side of the mountain, that you can hike up right out the door of the house. It goes 6 miles up the mountain but I only went up 1 so I'm not sure what it is like the whole way up. Eric

Overall your place was great! It was hands-down the best stocked rental I have ever been in and I think I have been in at least 8 rentals in the last 6 years or so. I bought some stuff for making pancakes from scratch but it turned out that you had everything! So I left you some extra stuff like flour, baking powder, baking soda, etc.. It was also very nice of you to leave us so many snacks and drinks! I’ve never had that before either. I will tell everyone about your place if they are ever thinking about taking a mountain vacation because it was very convenient to get to Dillon, Vail, Keystone, and all of those places. We drove to Vail one night and it wasn’t that bad of a drive even in inclement weather. We went to Loveland all 4 days and it couldn’t have been an easier drive. You can wake up later, make breakfast, and then quick drive up there for skiing. And by staying at your place you don’t have to deal with the crowds of all of the condos and it is that much quicker of a drive back to Denver. Eric

My family stayed at this home Feb. 1-5, 2011. This house was absolutely wonderful! The owners thought of everything. The house was stocked with everything we needed...even the things we never would have thought of. We all felt like we were at home! I would highly recommend this home to anyone who wants a relaxing vacation with beautiful views. I will definitely come back!

Carol and I had such a wonderful time at the house in Georgetown. I got to rest up some and so did my goldens. We hiked, and explored a lot. The train ride was awesome!!! We did the Eisenhower Tunnel drive. We had plenty of opportunities for pictures everywhere. Carol and I had so much fun on vacation that the memory is a very good one which will last a lifetime. It was sunny, rainy, snowy, mild, warm, and cooler. Each day and area was a different one that is how fall is in the mountains. we hope to come back to visit Georgetown again soon. Just wanted to say thanks and we had a wonderful time. House was very clean and everything was as advertised. Beautiful house and setting. Miles of trails behind house for exploring. Our first trip to Colorado. Absolutely beautiful! Hated to leave, but we will be back.

Hi Tim, My siblings, my Mom and I had such a good time at your home. They all thought I did an awesome job in finding a perfect place for us to stay. Here's a neat little story.... Before I left to go on the trip I was trying to finish up the first book in a series (that my sister gave me to read) so that I would only have to take the second book with me on the trip. I got side-tracked and forgot to finish the book and didn't bring it along. I didn't want to start the second book before finishing the first one so I just settled on the fact that I wouldn't be reading any books on vacation. Upon entering your home, the first book my sister saw was At Home in Mitford by Jan Karon. My sister laughed when she saw it and how excited I was to see the very same book i had forgotten to finish and left at home was the one you had on the dresser! I just love when things like that happen! I was looking at a picture that I took of Mom and one of my brothers sitting on your deck and noticed the homemade hummingbird feeder I made. I meant to take that down! We heard hummingbirds the whole time we were there but only caught glimpses of them. I couldn't find a hummingbird feeder when we were out and about so made won myself, although they came close to the feeder a few times. i never saw one stop in for a refreshing drink. We went to the Euro Grill twice to eat. The food was awesome. We nearly missed going to the other end of town in Georgetown. We didn't realize there was so many stores and such to see. We went through on our exit to go back home and just had to stop when we saw that so many shops were open on a Sunday. I wish we would have had time to go there for a full day! Our exit was delayed by several hours but well worth it. Thank you for being a big part of the awesome time us kids were able to spend together with our Mom. I'll leave a comment on your website and will check with you the next time we might be out in the area to see if we might be able to stay again. I hope you have a wonderful day. Deb

Hello Tim, just wanted you to know we loved the house. It was perfect for our trip and we had a fantastic time. We had a slight panic attack on Sunday arriving, due to the heavy snow. You couldn't see signs it was snowing so hard. We loved it. Your wife helped me and it was like finding an oasis in the desert. It was home sweet home. And Loveland turned out to be a best kept secret in Colorado. We found it to be family oriented with no lines to the lifts and the mountain was great. We are ready to plan another trip and would really like to stay at the house again. Thank you. We were very impressed. Fell free to call if you need anything!

Tim, we had a very nice time in Georgetown and on the mountain over at Loveland. Thank you for the use of your home. It was very nice and relaxing to come home to each evening. Thank you again for the hospitality.
