Public access to the Arkansas River for fishing or rafting is less than a block away! You can walk a few more blocks to Salida's historic downtown district to take in events at the SteamPlant Theater, listen to live music, savor a cup of coffee, enjoy fine (or casual) dining, and unique shopping venues.
This two-level, two-bedroom and a loft can accommodate up to 8 comfortably. All linens and towels are provided.
The main level features a full bath and an open floor plan. The living room area includes a full size couch/futon, cable TV, DVD/VCR player and a stereo. Movies, music, books and games are available in the bookcase.
A breakfast bar with stools and a dining room area adjoin the fully equipped kitchen. You won't need to buy any spices or utensils! High altitude cookbooks are in the cupboard! The main floor bedroom has a comfy queen-size bed with ample closet and dresser space.
The upper level master bedroom suite is equipped with a king-size bed, large closet and dressers, as well as another full bathroom. A sliding patio door opens to a deck off the master bedroom for mountain or stargazing. You can see "Christmas Mountain" or the "Heart of the Rockies" lighted at night on the Tenderfoot Mountain right from your bedroom! The upper level also features a full-size washer and dryer plus a kid-friendly loft with twin trundle beds, cable TV, toys and games.
This cozy condo is less than a mile from the Salida Golf Course and is about a 20 minute drive from Monarch Ski Area. The surrounding area boasts a myriad of other activities including whitewater rafting, kayaking, stand-up paddleboard (SUP) river surfing, fly-fishing, biking and hiking. Try some of the new trails off of Tenderfoot Mountain or the nearby Home Run Pump Track and then relax in one of the area hot springs. A convenient carport is available for off-street parking. Casa Nuevo was a very clean and comfortable place for my family of 4 adults and 1 child. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for winter or summer vacations. The distance to historic downtown was an easy walk. The drive to Monarch Ski area took about a half hour. The pictures in the listing showed the rooms fairly well. The master bedroom and bath on the upper level were actually a larger space than shown. The contact person responded promptly to a request that we had. We found the condo an ideal and relaxing spot for our vacation.

Very nice townhouse, newer and nicely furnished. We enjoyed having a well-stocked kitchen as well and toys and books for our 3 yr old. Walking distance to downtown, and only 20 mins to Monarch. Highly recommended and we plan on returning soon.

We loved the condo! It came with everything we needed, and when we couldn't find something, we called and were called back immediately! It seems to be very new and nice and well furnished. The beds were comfy, the bathrooms great, laundry soap and dish soap aplenty! We would recommend this condo to anyone wanting to stay in Salida! Very nice!

We spent our Christmas and New Years in Salida, Colorado. We had twelve inches of new snow and it was wonderful. The fireworks over the big "S" mountain were a hit! Mt. Princeton Hot Springs soaked away our muscle soreness from skiing and we never went to bed hungry with all the great restaurants to choose from. The condo was awesome, felt like "home away from home" and we Thank You for sharing.
