Vail High-End 2 BR/2 BA Condo at a Discount

This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo never before used as a rental. It has been renovated recently and has an updated granite kitchen. I used to live there and I have left upgraded silverware, dishes, glasses, wineglasses, crockpot, spices, toaster, blender, etc. There is a covered balcony off the dining room with gorgeous views of the mountains. There is a large living room with a 32" TV and cable, a DVD player and a VCR. There is a wood burning fireplace and plenty of wood stacked outside to use.
The complex has a nice hot tub, pool, grocery store and liquor store on the property. It is located right on the free bus line to Vail with ski bus service every 15 min to Vail during ski season. The complex is well maintained, beautifully landscaped in the summer, plowed and shoveled frequently in the winter.
This is an ideal Condo for one or two couples, or a small family with one or two children. It's location is very convenient to both Denver and Eagle, and it is also very close to Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Cooper Mountain, A Basin and Keystone ski areas.

If you are looking for a home away from home while on the holidays in Vail, this place will feel just like that! Very cozy, well up kept and decorated. Warming up by the fireplace was a pleasant treat after the long days of skiing. Kitchen has pretty much everything you need to prepare a meal, cutlery, utensils, even some spices. Just do not plan on roasting turkey if you are staying over the holidays – there is no oven. Bathrooms have plenty of extra towels, just bring your own shampoo&conditioner (body wash was there). Don’t remember seeing a hairdryer, you may want to check with the owner, she is easy to communicate with and quick to respond. Keyless access to the condo is very convenient. And of course – location – just a short walk to the free shuttle that takes you into the Vail Village (aprox 15min ride). There were four of us staying at the condo over the New Year’s holidays, we had a wonderful time and would definitely go back again. Cheers!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway.
Owner response: I am so glad you had a good time staying in my condo. I just wanted to let everyone know there is an oven in the unit, it's a convection/microwave and is located above the cooktop. Also, I will put a hairdryer in the unit, that is a good suggestion!

We stayed at this condo for 15 days in late March/early April 2010 and really enjoyed it. The location is great - just a short walk to the bus stop for the bus to Vail (which saves you time and $20/day in Vail parking) or a short drive to Beaver Creek. If you're planning to focus your skiing at either of these two resorts, you'll want to be on this side of Vail Pass and staying in Vail (the freeway thru Vail Pass occasionally closes because of snow storms, so this puts you by the Vail and BC resorts). The condo is very comfortable and is like staying in the owner's primary residence. The bedrooms are comfortable and well-appointed. There are two baths which helps a family get ready fast. This unit has a full washer and dryer that work very well. The kitchen includes all of the things that you would expect - full-sized fridge, stove, oven, plates, silverware, and cooking utensils. Nice-sized dining room for a family and the living room is comfortable. The condo development has a small store if you need emergency supplies (full grocery store at the Vail-west freeway exit). Development has an outdoor pool and hot tub that is fine (if you haven't had enough of the outdoors already.) Again, if you're planning to ski Vail, the walk to the bus stop is fairly short and well worth it. Busses run often and give you the chance to talk with other skiers. Spend the money saved on parking on yourself! Ski Beaver Creek too, just because it's so nice and upscale. But, in general, Vail will have the best snow. The property is very nice and well-maintained. The photos are accurate and the owner is very nice and easy to work with. I have recommended this condo to my family and friends.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our family recently enjoyed a lovely stay in Susan's tranquil condo. We found it to offer everything we could want. The grounds are lovely and quiet. The mountain views from the deck were awesome. The wood burning fireplace and furnishings made it very cozy. The pool was quite nice as well. Everything was clean, well kept, and much to our liking. We hope to return. It is easy to get to with a wonderful bike path just across the street! We couldn't have picked a better spot to enjoy in the summer to beat the heat in central Illinois.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2003
About the owner: I have been working as a traveling nurse for the past 10 years. I bought this Condo in 2003 and have been using it as a home base since that time. My jobs are longer now and I have been unable to fully use my Condo. This is why I have decided to rent it on a limited basis. I have traveled all over this country for work and prefer the coasts. Unfortunately there are no assignments in the mountains for me. I have been an avid skier for the past 25 years and Vail Mountain is by far the best place I have ever skied. It has it all, the Lionshead area is totally new, there are many wonderful restaurants and terrific shops. It's very easy to get to from Denver or Eagle, and the skiing at Vail is unequaled!
Why the Owner Chose Pitkin Creek:
I chose to buy a condo in East Vail which is not as crowded as Vail Village yet is still very close to the ski area. There are some beautiful residential neighborhoods in East Vail and it is a much quieter spot than the Village. In the summer you can walk across the street to access the bike path, golf course, and Gore Creek which is great for fly fishing. Cross-country skiing and equipment rental are available on the golf course in the winter. My particular unit has a great parking spot, closer to the Condo than most. My complex has a really nice hot tub and a pool available as well. There is also a market and liquor store within the complex. I chose to buy in Vail because it is close to Denver and Eagle and the skiing is fantastic.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The condo has been renovated recently with a shower added in one of the bathrooms, and a cook top and granite countertops in the kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with a crockpot, blender, toaster, coffeepot, nice dishes and a wide variety of cooking utensils. There is a fairly new gas grill on the balcony and the kitchen is equipped with grilling tools. The living room is large with a 32" TV, DVD, and VCR. There is a wood burning fireplace in the living room with plenty of wood right outside the door. There is a very short walk to the ski bus, grocery store, and liquor store from the condo.
