Wow Wow Wow this place is an awesome place to stay if you are visiting LA. The pictures and description are exactly how the unit is. It is very clean, tidy and comfortable to stay out with everything you need for cooking etc. All the email contact I had with Scott was excellent, all my inquiries were answered quickly and had enough details that I didn't have to follow up requesting anything else. Within Walking distance to everything......We had a car but only used it when going on longer trips otherwise we were able to walk everywhere. It is so close to nearly everything you need or want. Scott left us information about shops nearby, I would recommend Trader Joe's to grab food etc for self cooking and we loved the Veggie Grill which was about 2 blocks away. If we come back to LA this would be the first and only place I would want to stay at and I would recommend it to anyone.

I stayed at this wonderful property with my husband and 7 and 9 year old children. There was ample room for us all. The cottage is just as you see it in the photo. it is high quality and tasteful. Unlike other rental properties I have stayed in, there was ample cutlery, crockery and utensils. It was so clean and well presented when we arrived, it was a joy. The bed was incredibly comfortable with a feather duvet and ample pillows. The location is great, with many things within walking distance. We felt safe and were grateful for the parking space. We received very clear instruction about how to get there and how to enter the property on arrival. We had one query during our stay, on a Sunday evening, and we got an immediate response from the owners. The only suggestion I would make would be to have a visitor's book in the property as it is always great to read what other people have discovered during their stay! I would highly recommend this property.

We had a wonderful time in Hollywood! This location was prime for everything we wanted to do. Walking distance to Trader Joe's and the amazing Walgreens store made "living" an ease. We have never known a Walgreens to have a market and Sushi -YUM!! Scott was kind enough to take time out and mail us something that was left at the property by mistake. The home was clean and getting checked in was a breeze! If we visit HW again - this home will be top on our list of places to stay! Thank you Scott!

Our stay at Scott's place was great! Everything was very clean and neatly arranged. The house is small but very cosy, perfect for short stays. It is located very close to Sunset Blvd and all of Hollywood's main attractions. Scott was very easy to contact and was able to answer all of our questions and concerns regarding the booking process. Thank you very much!

This is our first vacation staying away from hotels. I had to convinced my wife to try out staying in a cottage instead of boring hotels which are mostly small and expensive. Over at the cottage, it has everything and what has shown on the pictures is as good as one will get. A perfect place to stay that is very comfortable, clean and convenient. Close proximity to grocery store where you can get most of the essential stuffs. So no need to pack those shampoo, conditioners, etc. It is all here. Relieve on your luggage weight. Oh, one more thing, another point that I had to convinced my wife is to pack light. Save all those luggage space for all your shoppings. Easy to use washing machine and dryer. So quiet that you can even leave it to run after a long day out and let it do the work while you sleep. The surrounding is peace and quiet. It does not make you feel like you are within the city. A nice place to rest yourself after a long day out roaming around Hollywood. Accessible TV channels (lots of channel) that will keep you or kids occupied after a long day out. You know how it is with kids. Their energy level is much higher than us even after a long day out at Universal Studio. Oh, including accessible to internet that help you keep in touch with your family online. Last but not least, Scott and Hilliard have done a wonderful preparations prior our arrival. It is truly an ideal vacation with hassle free check in and check out. Literally, it is like getting in and out of your own vacation house but this one is prepared clean upon your arrival. This is our first but definitely not our last for an ideal vacation accommodation. Highly recommended! Great job Scott and Hilliard

We stayed here for 4 nights. Unfortunately it was booked for the other nights we needed. The place was wonderful. It was nicely decorated, extremely quiet, and it had everything we needed. The location could not be better. We were within walking distance of so many restaurants, the theater, the Walk of Fame, and the grocery store. Scott was so accessible for any questions we might have had, and Hilliard was so nice. We could not have picked a better place. Thank you so much Scott and Hilliard. We will be staying with you again when we are back in LA.

Wow, this place definitely lived up to our expectations. EXACTLY like the photos! The decor is lovely and it was spotlessly clean when we arrived. I visited with my husband and sister, and there was plenty of room for the three of us. So much better than a hotel room! The kitchen is spacious and the laundry is very conveniently placed. We loved the location and although it's near a busy area it was quiet at night. It was central for all the things in LA we wanted to see, and it's so close to the Chinese Theatre, Griffith Park, and Paramount Studios. Ameoba Records and the Arclight Cinema was within walking distance too. One day we took the Warner Brothers studio tour and it was only a 10 min drive! If you want to take a Starline bus tour it goes right along Vine, just down the block. So close! With the gated driveway we felt very secure, the off street parking was much appreciated as the street parking was often completely filled up. Scott and Hilliard made us feel very welcome and we'd definitely come back here.

I don't know how we were so lucky to find this rental, but it's the best VRBO we ever rented! Clean, clean, clean.... So spacious compared to awful hotel rooms. Everything is perfectly laid out for a roomy atmosphere We loved having the washer/dryer and iron/ironing board in the cottage. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. And, anyone who has ever stayed in California must know how much a gated property WITH parking available means. Such a luxury to just push a button and arrive at your own parking space right at your door -- with security lights everywhere! Scott and Hilliard are such great hosts. They looked after us like we were family. They took the time to tell us about places that suited our interests and then would ask how we liked our excursions. All of the things we wanted to do were 1-2 miles away! This is a perfect location. A nice residential area, with so much to do just a afew blocks away. The studios, museums, Griffith Observatory, The Grove, Mullholland Drive, tours - you name it and it's nearby. I loved driving over to the Fairfax Avenue Farmer's Market/Grove for lunch and a stroll, or for dinner after a show taping. Believe me, if you are looking for the PERFECT spot - stop looking. It's right here. We were here for a month, and the time just flew by. We will be back next October - that's a sure thing. Denise and Carl (Pennsylvania)

This place is perfect with every amenity you'll ever need, and is beautifully furnished. The location can't be beat too, it is literally beside Trader Joe and the Arclight cinema, and is a short walk from all the Hollywood attractions. It's in a residential side street that is so peaceful it's hard to imagine that you're in the heart of Hollywood. Scott made us feel very welcome and was very attentive to our needs, and prepared all the information we would need for our stay. This is very belated, but thanks Scott for making our stay in LA an unforgettable one. Sorry we missed you that day, got your note and meant to write but forgot about it in the heat of packing! Hope to catch you next time we're in LA - Luke and Christina

I visit LA often to see my little grandson and this housing arrangement worked perfectly. We BBQ'ed, ate outside on the stone patio table, and cooked breakfast in the spacious kitchen area. The bed was super comfortable and my grandson loved walking on the deck to the dog run in the back (his "secret path"). It was great to be close to Rite Aid, Trader Joe's and Hollywood Blvd. We had the best time!

Home away from home. Being able to stay in a 'home' environment instead of a hotel room was the best. Security was wonderful. We felt very safe in the neighborhood., so much so that we walked about to local stores on Vine St. We had lunch in Marina Del Rey, did the Paramount Studios tour, walked the Santa Monica Pier, did the TMZ bus tour (recommend if you have teenagers or young adults with you) and the Jay Leno show. I hope on our next trip to LA, Scott & Hilliard's home will be available again. Thank you guys!

I am so happy I booked this house for a vacation I was taking with my 18 year old daughter for her graduation! It was perfectly located, yet on a quiet street. We did plenty of walking in the neighborhood, even at night, and felt quite safe! I barely drove our rental car but when I did, was pleasantly surprised at how close we were to so many sights!! I expected to drove 45 minutes to Burbank for the Jay Leno show but found we were only about 20 minutes away! The house itself was exceptionally clean and comfortable with plenty of space! I would for sure stay here again on a return trip! On a side note, I really appreciate Scott being so 'reachable' when I did have one small problem..it was resolved immediately and did not have any impact on our trip at all!

This was the perfect one bedroom/one bathroom bungalow with a private entrance that's ideal for a couple traveling with a pet. It's furnished beautifully with brand new appliances (washer/dryer, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator) and an outdoor gas grill. Be sure to bring your own condiments, detergent and dishwashing liquid. It's within walking distant to major attractions such as the Chinese theater and Walk of Fame. It's two blocks from the intersection at Sunset and Vine, so you can enjoy sightseeing without the traffic. It's very close to the 101 if you do feel like wandering out of West Hollywood.

We stayed at this location for four nights in late April 2012. Wow, where to even begin? This place is a gem. Scott and Hilliard stopped by to introduce themselves and that was a great personal touch to the stay. They wanted to make sure we were doing okay and gave us some great recommendations for the area. We felt so safe with the security lights and gate. Having a guaranteed parking space was a plus! The inside has everything you need to make yourself at home, including an awesome coffee pot and washer/dryer set-up. We were able to walk to Paramount Studios, Hollywood Blvd, Trader Joe's, etc. We have stayed in numerous VRBO properties and this by far was the most professional transaction yet. The pictures don't do this place justice...you have to see it for yourselves. We actually have family members looking forward to renting this when they travel to S. California in the future. Thanks again Scott and Hilliard! One very small critique, they cleaning folks got there early (before check-out) and we felt rushed to leave as he literally waited at the door with cleaning supplies while we were finishing packing up. We left at 11:00 am on the dot, but felt pressured to leave as soon as possible. That really is no fault of the property or owners, just some feedback that may be helpful for future renters.

We stayed at this property from 6-20 Nov 2011 and had a wonderful holiday! As 2 female friends, we took it in turns between the ultra-comfy bed in the main bedroom and the fold down in the lounge area. As said many times before, the main bed was amazingly comfortable which ensured a great sleep every night. The rental being behind the main house and a very secure remote-controlled gate made you feel you were in a very secluded and quiet spot despite the fact you are so close to the main attractions along Hollywood Boulevard. The underground beneath the W hotel is only a 10 minute walk up Vine Street. McDonalds is literally around the corner, and for Crispy Crust pizza co. turn left on Vine and it's disagonally opposite and they do great pizza's and salads. Pavilions is less then a mile down Vine Street (turn left on leaving the house and left on Vine) and this is a great shop to get all your essentials - just remember to get a Vons card for great savings! The ameneties of the house itself are terrific and just as described in the listing. We had everything we needed for a comfortable 2 week-stay. Having been to LA for 2 weeks a couple of years ago, we were pretty confident of finding our way around and didnt find we had to impose on Scott or Hilliard for assistance but we're pretty sure they would have been more than helpful had we needed their guidance. Loving LA like we do, I'm pretty sure we will be back in the future and would definitely rent this cottage again. We have no hesitation in recommending this to other travellers. A tip for sight-seers - make sure you go on-line and buy a Go-LA card which we did for a 7 day pass and it saved us an absolute fortune getting into all the major attractions. We rented a car but didnt have to use it all that much, apart from more out the way studios etc as the rental as I said, is close to the Hollywood Blvd ones, such as Kodak theatre, Hollywood museum, Madame Tussauds, Hard Rock Cafe, Hollywood & Highland shopping complex and Graumans etc. Even Universal Studios is easily accessible by the red line from Hollywood/Vine to Universal City then the free shuttle bus up to the park itself. All the facilities in the cottage such as the oven/dishwasher/fridge-freezer/washing machine/dryer were brand new and easy to operate. We had a fabulous time and I'm sure you will too!!

We were so pleased with our stay from start to finish. We were met when we arrived by the Owners, first Hilliard & later, Scott. They were both very pleasant. Hilliard showed us around and explained all about the place. He couldn't have been nicer. Such a sweetheart. The bungalow was just a perfect setting for a nice vacation away from home. It is tastefully decorated, even better in person, then the pictures. Everything you could possibly need away from home, they provided. Everything was super clean and well maintained. Very nice soft, plush towels. We even had laundry detergent, if needed. The bed...wow...don't get me started. Like sleeping on a cloud. And those sheets...I have to get some! You have your own private parking in front of the bungalow, behind an automatic gate. The little patio area was very cute & private. Everything imaginable was close by. Like within 3 miles. And LAX around 10 miles. We were lucky enough to go to the Ellen Degeneres show, 2 1/2 Men taping, and the Late, Late, show with Craig Ferguson. But get your tickets before you leave home. These were all very close by. Make sure to try the restaurant 'Off Vine' that Hilliard & Scott recommend. We also highly recommend the 'Smokehouse' located directed next door to Warner Bros. parking gate #3. You can't miss going up to the Griffin Observatory roof. Great View! The best way to see the 'Hollywood' Sign is up Beachwood Dr.- ( Go through the gates at end, park, and climb to top of hill.) Fabulous views! Thank-You to Scott & Hilliard for providing us with a fabulous little home away from home. Much, much better than a hotel & very personable! Highly, highly recommend. Would give 10 out of 10 Stars, if I could!

Everything has been thought out in this well equiped appartment. The location was amazing as we didint have a car but it was still with in easy walking distance to the subway which we used a lot, everyone is very helpful . The local buses are also very convenient to the apartment. The apartment what can I add that others havnt... it was well thought out and so comfortable to come home to after a long day of sightseeing. The restaurants near by are also fantastic ... we only wish our stay was longer... but will defenitly come back... Thank You again

With so many positive reviews already written I want to confirm the many positive observations about this charming rental apartment - the setting is one of the main attractions, very attractive street with set back historic homes in garden landscapes. The house is in the heart of Hollywood, possible to walk to many attractions, and yet has a quiet and peaceful environment. The property is very well presented and managed, and spotlessly clean. Everything so far as I can see has been thought about and one's needs anticipated - the decor is attractive, classically modern and comfortable, and the house has tv in main living room and bedroom and there are many original features, including the patio with barbecue, the private and secluded walkway leading tonthe side and rear from the living room and illuminated with pretty lights at night time. The kitchen, which is part of the main room, is very well equipped and gleaming with smart decor and ganite tops - modern gas cooker microwave and dishwasher all easy to use. The bathroom, so important to all travellers and visitors, is well laid out with attractive fittings in white, including the bath /shower. Instant hot water is available at all times. there are ample nice towels and the bedding is as welcoming as the large stylish bed. The detailed description is accurate on the website as are the photographs - other facilities include a clothes washer and dryer, which I did not use on a short visit. Parking off street is convenient - travellers from the UK should note that if you decide to park on the street you must park in the direction of all the other traffic, the same as all the other cars unlike in the UK when you can usually choose your parking direction - be warned, you will incur a penalty if you do not observe this rule. Scott and Hilliard are perfect hosts and are available very quickly if assistance/advice is needed. The cleaning staff do great job and are helpful and easy to talk with if you meet them. I cannot find any negatives - this experience in the heart of Hollywood was a joy and I was sorry to leave after too short a stay - I will certainly want to return and am checking out the other properties managed/owned by Scott. Don't miss this jewel and have a happy stay, as I did.

Can't say enough about this gorgeous bungalow in Hollywood! My teenager who is very hard to impress could not stop raving about the superior decorating and personal touches. Comes with everything you need for a long or short stay. Bed/bedding are top of the line and perfect after a long day of sightseeing. Kitchen is fully stocked though it is hard to eat in with so many wonderful restaurants in walking and driving distance. Location is central to everything including the Burbank airport. Scott and Hilliard are so kind and wonderfully helpful about the area and things to do. Home is gated though we would have been fine if it hadn't been as it is a quiet neighborhood with friendly folks. Will definitely stay again - thanks for the wonderful stay!!! Chris & Sierra

If we’re going to be honest, we did not want to write a recommendation for the bungalow. Also, we would like to remove some of the existing recommendations. That’s because we don’t want to share this AMAZING vacation rental!! It is impossible not to be inspired to praise every aspect of this lovely bungalow. The grounds are beautifully maintained, front and back. Walking up the driveway is a welcoming prelude to the little piece of heaven that awaits. The security gate works wonderfully and adds to the feeling of comfort. The driveway and sitting area outside the bungalow are easy to use and relaxing. Once you enter the bungalow itself, the feelings of relaxation just wash over you. Like pages from a magazine each space is tastefully decorated and well arranged. The kitchen, dining area and living room are comfortable and easy to use. The dishwasher and laundry machines work perfectly and are easily accessible. The bedroom has ample storage and truly, the MOST comfortable bed we have ever encountered. Whether you open the windows for the wonderful cross breeze, or use the air conditioners, the temperature rarely varies from perfect. The included cable and WiFi work perfectly and provide plenty of entertainment for a quiet evening in. However, whether you explore by foot or car the offerings are endless. Just a few of the sites within a few blocks include the Arclight Cinema (a must), 24 hour Fitness (they offer day passes), Amoeba Music Store (WOW!!!), and , of course, Hollywood Boulevard. The Metro is a few blocks away and easy to use. Also, within a few blocks, we discovered a number of excellent dining options: Tender Greens (great salads), Bowery (great pub/restaurant), Fabiolus Cafe (Italian Café), and Café Entourage (we had lunch). Oh, and the donut place on the corner has a nice cup of coffee!! Also, we have to HIGHLY recommend Scott as an owner. He is patient, understanding, professional, efficient, and extremely helpful. We thank you Scott for a wonderful vacation rental experience and look forward to our return next year!!

We - a family of 4 with 2 teenage girls - stayed in this lovely bungalow for 3 nights. It was such a pleasant surprise to find this peaceful an wonderfully decorated gem waiting for us. We arrived in the evening after having found our way through bustling LA. The bungalow is within walking distance to Kodak theatre and simply the best location for a first visit to LA. We could even park our rented car safely behind a fence in front of the bungalov. The house has all the utensils and conveniences you need to feel at home. We prepared dinner one evening and found all the utensils we needed to make the meal and to set a beautiful table thanks to the tasteful cutlery, napkins etc. that is avaible in the house. Both Scott an Hillary were very helpful and gave us tips about LA and where to celebrate July 4. We would love to stay here again when we get a chance to visit LA again.

Its clear that this property has discerning owners who are not only house proud but very creative as well. All the previous reviews are true, its a gorgeous apartment and is so close to everything we barely used our car. The apartment is very tastefully decorated and the owners have thought of pretty much everything to ensure your stay is comfortable. On arrival we were given a brief precis of the area and then shown how everything works in the apartment to ensure we were comfortable with it. There are many restaurants close by, with every type of food imaginable. Hollywood blvd is a comfortable 15 min stroll and is far more interesting at night! I would definitely recommend the apartment to anyone who wants to be close to the action, but have peace and uiet at night.

It's hard to know where to start, there are so many positives about this superb bungalow. Hilliard was there to meet and greet us and show us their wonderful labour of love, from their fully equipped modern kitchen, (and those slate tiles! the gorgeous greys with a tinge of the most delicate yellow) to the gorgeous king sized bed with the leather bed-head, harbouring the most deliciously decadent sheets beneath the chocolate brown covers. Pure heaven to sleep in. Everywhere, there was a lot of thought put into making the lucky guest as comfortable as possible, including mood lighting, music at just the right level, a barbeque outside (which we fired up one night, with a couple of slabs of tender steak and a chilled bottle of sauv blanc, purchased from Trader Joe's, just an easy walk up the road) the bathroom with the adjustable mirror lighting, just perfect for applying your make-up before you rush off in the mornings to explore everything that hollywood and it's surrounds has to offer. My husband and I agreed it was like walking straight into the pages of 'Home Beautiful'. It even has a huge remote controlled gate that seems to defy the laws of physics as it gently and smoothly opens and closes without a hitch, every time! Hilliard gave us the heads up on a really great restaurant just around the corner called 'Off Vine'. Do yourselves a favour and check it out. Yummm! Food 10/10 and staff 10/10, and if you go Monday nights, food is half price. Didn't think much of the mexican take-away up the road though. Went to see Pirates of the Caribbean at the El Capitan and was blown away by the theatre. Old world charm and absolutely beautiful. As you can tell by now, we are huge fans and will one day, hopefully not in the too distant future, be back to soak it all up again. The very reasonable rental rate is just an added bonus. I know you will love your stay at Hilliard and Scott's Hollywood Bungalow.

we were in hollywood to visit our daughter and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. it met our needs perfectly, it was very clean, beautifully decorated and spacious, having parking included was great and the location lended itself to easy walking for everything. though we didn't know at the time we reserved the property, we ended up being very grateful that this place was pet friendly. our daughter who was travelling with us had recently adopted a small dog and this ended up being the perfect place for us. it was well fenced and gated and we felt very secure that our new best friend could not get out and get lost. Thanks so much for a great place to stay, we will definitely return if we need a place in hollywood.

These pictures accurately represent the clean and cosy bungalow in which my girlfriend and I stayed in for a week. The location is great, we walked nearly everywhere and cooked meals in the comfort of our kitchen. My slogan for this place would be "Top quality for the price!" And check this out!! We were at the airport when I realized that I had left my passport inside the night table. In a panic, I called Scott, who was fabulous enough to race it to me at the airport, 5 mins before our flight closed. Thanks again Scott. Couldn't recommend this place more, we'll be back! My husband, our 2 children (13,19) and myself had the most wonderful vacation in L.A. by Scott and Hillard. After our horrible accomodation in San Francisco, which we also reserved via Web, i was extrem nerves during the drive from San Francisco to Hollywood. When we entered then Afton Pl. and Hillard greeted us, all my worries disappeared in a quick second. The house is like a diamond! We loved the style of the furniture, the kitchen is furnished with all necessary things, which we of course used a lot, because i cooked almost every day. We were not extrem embraced of the american fast food :-( It smelled in the whole house so good, i was surching in Vienna for similar perfume of airfresher and must admit, couldn't find anything here. I told to my husband, that this would be a reason enough to come back to Hollywood. We walked often to Trader's Joe's grocery store or to Walk of fame, or just to look around in the neighborhood streets. Te location is absolut perfect! It couldn't be more perfect even! We had a lot of fun there and if we return once to Hollywood we will only live by Scott and Hillard for sure! Thank you so much dear Scott and Hillard for everything!

I stayed at the bungalow for one week and wished I could have stayed longer. It has every convenience that you would need and then some. Beautifully furnished and very clean. There were many little details here that made me feel like I was at home. I wanted to take the sheets AND the bed home with me...they were so comfortable. You could not find a better location in Hollywood. Walking distance to groceries, excellent dining and nightlife, shopping. Scott greeted me when I arrived, and gave me tips about the area. He is a very friendly and gracious host/owner, and was easily accessible if I had any questions. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Hollywood.

Home comforts, clean and well presented, the photos accurately show the rental The location is very handy to many tourist attractions, most withing walking distance. Great kitchen for those wishing to cook, supermarket for all your supplies nearby. We were met by Hilliard who welcomed us to Hollywood, he gave some hints on what to do and where to go, we felt quite safe as the rental is behind an automated gate, and the neighbourhood was quiet. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property, especially if travelling with children.

Just a very short walk from the bustle, this very secluded one-story private Bungalow was comfortable and well-appointed. Off-street parking, BBQ, and nice kitchen, walking distance to Trader Joe's for supplies. Accurately described (better than the pictures really), spotless, friendly owner who greeted us and gave sightseeing advice. Would highly recommend to anyone, can't wait to go back again!

My family (2 adults and 2 toddlers) has rented many homes via VRBO - this one was the best! The owner was extremely helpful in insuring to meet us when we arrived and that we were appropriately oriented. The home is perfectly located in the heart of Hollywood (including a 30 second walk to the Arclight area and Katsuya) but its location b/w Vine and Gower make it a very quiet place. The home itself was immaculately clean and very well appointed with modern appliances, a super-comfy bed, and great electronics. The gated back courtyard was perfect for letting our toddlers run and play without worry and for keeping your car safe. I will recommend this home to all of my friends and family - its a perfect retreat in the heart of LA. Thanks so much to the owners!

I enjoyed my stay in the bungalow to the fullest. Unfortunately I was not able to meet Scott but Hillard was very gracious, especially since my cousin and my flight came in a lot later than planned and he had to wait for us to arrive about midnight. Although we only stayed 4 nights (which is not enough when you want to see the city, surrounding areas, and bask in the Hollywood life like it's an everyday occurance) and it rained almost 3 full days, we had a great time. The bungalow is right around the corner from Sunset Blvd and and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Hollywood sign is also visible from Sunset. I have to mention that the king-size bed was the MOST comfortable bed I've EVER slept on. The entire set up is cozy, quiet, and peaceful. A very serene spot in Hollywood near shops, restaurants, area attractions, and transportation. I will recommend this to anyone I know and I hope to be back really soon. Thank you for the wonderful stay guys!

We have never rented such a beautiful, spotless and sweet place anywhere. Wonderful bathroom and kitchen and lovely design details. We were greeted, shown every lovingly provided amenity and provided helpful lists of local services - gas, food, movie theaters, etc. Parking was secure, the cottage is behind a locked gate so we felt we were in our secret garden. Quiet yet in the thick of Hollywood. We can't wait to return for a much longer stay.

We stayed in the rental in January for four days. It was very nice and clean. It's location is extremely convenient. We were able to walk to all the attractions along Hollywood Blvd. We also had a car, and was able to park at the rental for free, which is a plus. Scott, Hilliard, and Lucy were all very nice and welcoming. They were helpful with suggestions of what to see and where to eat. Overall, a great experience, and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Hollywood!

This rental is exquisite. My husband and I stayed here with our pet Boomer and found the location to be true to the photographs, and impressively clean. The amenities are better than you could find in a hotel for this location and price; we were able to cook several meals without hassle in the beautifully done kitchen. Lovely decorations, very cozy -- we felt at home and would have loved to stay longer! Scott, Hilliard, and Lucy are simply wonderful hosts! We highly recommend this rental.

We stayed at the property after going on a cruise and found it lives up to the description and more. Scott and Hillard are very welcoming, friendly and willing to help if you need them. We had a lot to see every day since it was our first visit to Cali (we were there for 4 days). After full days of sightseeing and activities, it was a very nice and comfy place to come back to - way better than a dreary hotel! The bed is extremely comfortable which is very important to me; not hard but not too soft. We walked to many of the sights from the home and having a place to park is very important in Hollywood/L.A. so that alone is a big bonus, but you will LOVE this place. It was also very quiet even though you're in the middle of a busy city! I now wish we would have taken advantage of the fully equipped kitchen (we were out pretty much every day during dinner and lunch) but it is certainly there if you need it or want to prepare your own meals. I highly recommend this property. I know we'll be back!

We (two adults and two children, age 10 and 8) had four nights here and would happily recommend this bungalow to other travelers. It is a beautifully presented unit with all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. It was very clean and very well maintained. The location is good, with off street parking. We used it as a base to visit Hollywood, the beaches and Disneyland without any difficulty. The children shared the sofa bed in the living room and were very comfortable. Booking was very straight forward, with prompt responses from the owner. Thanks for a lovely stay!

I stayed in the cottage in early September 2010 with my Mum, it exceeded our expectations. It was immaculate, stylish, warm cosy and just so perfect for us both. It is near to all the tourist spots, we were hiking everyday in Runyon Canyon as it was so close! Loved the fact we had our car parked out and could just hop in and drive anywhere. I would recomend this house to anyone who wants someone clean, stylish and very homely to stay in LA. My wife, 2 year old daughter and I stayed for a couple of nights. The moment we saw the place, we decided to right a review because it deserves it and much more. Scott and Hilliard were very discreet yet available for any help that we needed. The location is central (just a short walk from Hollywood Blvd, sunset blvd etc...), yet is not noisy at all. The little appartment is full of everything one would ever want. Better than any hotel where you would end up spending much more anyways. It was worth every penny! Thank you Scott and Hilliard. I would recommend this to everyone and anyone!

Scott and Hilliard are friendly, gracious, and helpful. The place is very clean, great kitchen, and you feel better than being in a hotel. You feel secure in the location parking behind the private gated entrance and it is so close to walk to shops, restaurants, and a great theatre in Hollywood. Guests were able to find parking in the street. We have made mulitple trips to Southern CA. and this is by far the best place we ever rented. My wife and I highly recommend staying here.

Beautifully and tastefully decorated with all the mod cons one needs in this day and age! It was hard to believe you were in the middle of a bustling city as the location was very quiet. Perfect for a couple or a small family. We travelled with our 2.5 year old. Located right in the heart of it all and so accessable to everything on offer. We stayed for 5 nights and saw most of the local sights (Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Downtown, Santa Moncia, Venice, Disneyland, etc....) Note, did have a rental car. The hosts (Scott & Hillard) we ever so helpful with "local" tips which were invaluable. Particularily when it came to traffic tips. You just don't get this kind of attention or service from a hotel. The place itself was perfect. Clean, sizeable (a small house) and secure. Very liveable. It truly made our experience in LA more rewarding. Guys, Evan's (my son) still having withdrawal symptoms from Lucy (the dog). Keeps asking for her. Thankyou for the the great experience. We are definite converts to these types of lodgings when travelling in future. No more hotels!

What a wonderful experience it was to stay here, this place exceeded our expectations. I don't believe they missed a detail with the amenities and comfort that was provided. From the moment we were greeted at the gate until the time we left we felt completely welcome and at home. The apartment is beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. I hadn't expected the property to be as quiet and peaceful as it was, but it was just lovely and we slept great every night. The bed is so comfortable!! The location is great, there's quite a lot to do and see even within walking distance. Scott and Hilliard were so kind and helpful with anything we needed. This was my first VRBO experience, my only concern is that it's spoiled me for anywhere else!

I stayed in this gorgeous cottage for 4 days with my 19yr old daughter. We wished it was much longer. It was just as & maybe even better than the pictures show. Property was very clean, quiet, super comfortable & well maintained & you felt like you had come home as soon as you walked through the door. Our hosts were super friendly, and made us feel very welcome. We were there without a car, and Hilliard helped us to get around using the Metro, which is easy once you get the hang of it. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, our hosts did everything possible to make sure we had a great stay, even lending us scales so we could weigh our luggage, so we didn't pay excess costs. The cottage is close to everything but as soon as you walk into the street, you feel a world away from the hussle & bussle. Thanks heaps !!!!

I had such a fun time in Los Angeles and staying at this place made it even better! I spent five nights here in April and I didn't want to leave. Right in the heart of Hollywood, it is just a short walk to Hollywood Blvd. The property is beautifully decorated and furnished, has super-efficient washer & dryer, a fully equipped kitchen, and it's also very quiet. For me it was like a home away from home. The bed is also very comfy and I could come home for a rest in the afternoon on the deck to get geared up for dinner! Thanks Scott and Hill for the warm welcome and for your help. Scott is an extremely thoughtful host, attention to detail spot on. He even drove me to the airport, that was so kind of him. Thanks again Scott :) A fantastic trip and I'll definitely return again to this property. For those of you looking for a unique Los Angeles experience, this is it.

There 's also a small but really cute terrace where you can take your breakfast with sweet sunshines coming on your face. And the appartement is in a nice neighborhood district, in Hollywood. It's near of everything, you have a supermarket 5 minutes away by car, if you want to do some sports it takes you 10 minutes to go to the gym or if you just want to take a walk you can hang out to Hollywood boulevard, it's only 10 minutes walking. I spent 10 days in Hollywood, and the guesthouse couldn't have been better located: in the heart on hollywood, close to the major freeways to drive to the studios for business meetings, and at the same time it's also the perfect location for a fun holiday time in Los Angeles. Scott is a very thoughtful host (even got us discounts at Gold's Gym!). The appartment has everything you need, and the bed in the master bedroom is VERY comfortable. All the appliances you need in the kitchen, a very efficient laundry machine : everything is made to make the stay pleasant and easy. I'll certainy book the guesthouse again for my next stay in Los Angeles....if someone else hasn't booked it already!!!
