  Great upscale home for a large group (we had both adults and kids). The house was clean, well kept and large enough to accommodate our party. The neighborhood was gorgeous, surpassing my expectations ~ it's definitely one of the better locations in Big Bear. We utilized both the front yard and backyard for sledding (we provided our own sleds). The game room provided ample entertainment for the kids. A local grocery store and tubbing destination is only 7 - 10 minutes away. I would recommend this rental to other visitors!

  We (10 kids and 10 adults) rented this cabin for our mini vacation to Big Bear over Martin Luther King weekend. The property is beautifully laid out and is perfect for a large group with spacious common areas, a large kitchen, and plenty of space around the property for the kids to run around. The property description and features provided on the website are accurate. Daniel provided excellent customer service and was extremely responsive and flexible through the entire reservation process. I would not hesitate in recommending the property or reserving it again for a future vacation.

  I booked this property before they updated the pictures of this estate. When my party walked in, we were all amazed how little justice the pictures did. The estate definitely had the "wow" factor. I have to say even the updated pictures posted currently do not fully show the beauty of this property. Everything listed (layout, amenities, etc) is accurate. The property was very clean and well-maintained. Daniel offered amazing customer service and was always just a call away. He answered any type of questions we had and was always willing to work with us. We planned on snowboarding on this trip but their wasn't enough snow (too early in the season for So California I guess). We were scared that we would get bored, but the estate provided plenty of entertainment. We loved the game room that had a bar, Pool table, Foosball table, and sitting areas. We really want to book again next year but later in the December month so we could enjoy snow as well. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

  My friends and I were looking for a cabin to just relax and spend time with our kids ranging from ages 7-12. This cabin was the answer to our prayers! The manager was willing to work with us on the price and was a pleasure to communicate with. We had a party of 18 and the estate easily accommodated all of us. The kids had a blast in the game room with playing pool and foosball, while a bar was close by for us parents to chat and watch over the kids. I was impressed of how clean and large the estate was and in a very good neighborhood. We frequently took walks on the streets around. The place wasn’t too far away from town to do some groceries. The kitchen was large enough to room 5 cooking moms preparing meals for the hungry little athletes. We enjoyed the in-room jacuzzis next to the fireplaces which made for a very relaxing and romantic atmosphere. I plan on booking this cabin again but with my husband next time for a romantic getaway.

  We chose this estate for our corporate event get-away to brainstorm in the midst of nature as the pictures showed this estate nestled in the woods at the foot of the mountains. Let me tell you....we were not disappointed by the scenery and most importantly, by the beautiful spacious home we found when we got there. We were excited to find modern appliances, amenities, toiletries and plenty of towels in the 4 1/2 bathrooms. The large game room was an added bonus and the leather couches through-out the cabin were very comfortable. This estate also has two bars (one downstairs and one upstairs) and 16+ barstools. It easily accomodated our party of 21 people with even more sleeping spaces available. We will definately book this huge cabin again in the future.

  In Nov.'11, 1st phone inquiry to "owner" - I'll call “D” - revealed elevated cost of rental above ad rate. Price was reluctantly honored. Owner paranoid about party exceeding 14-guest overnight limit, which wouldn't happen. I explained: We have annual reunion and rent a large house for 40 dinner guests (unfortunately, this was largest house I could find @ time). I would have 12 overnight guests in house, 15 others in hotels, others guests would drive home. I reassured D that his past excessive guest experiences wouldn’t be repeated via my rental. Then, I discovered house was not 4900 sq. ft., as per ad, but only 4200 sq. ft. As such, no access to garage, limited parking spaces and difficult furniture reconfiguration required for party rental items. D knew from 1st call that family would fly in, it was an expensive and important event we have yearly. He never expressed concern about how I would manage this event w/ lack of space. When I brought this up, 1 month before arrival date (too late to make other arrangements, as per strict “no cancel” contract, enabling D to keep all $$ paid), he exhibited his paranoia routine re: how I somehow confused him about number of overnight guests, as opposed to my grand total of guests. D provided weak apology, said that his listings for house on other rental sites gave all correct info. How would I know about other websites? He wasn't accommodating/helpful. Only thing he was “helpful” w/ was taking $$ because he would hound me for $$ 3-4 months ahead of rental date. D was unhelpful re: info: type of dinnerware, stereo setup, kitchen supplies, etc. Also, loft (dead space between rail and stairs) advertised doesn't exist. Game room is tiny, walls lined w/worn futon beds. Master bed: crammed w/bunk beds/pullout couch/reg. bed. Without prior advertised notice, I was charged a great deal in fees 4 using a credit card. Event interrupted, told 2 move our 6 cars on wide, accommodating street DURING dinner far, far away. Elderly family member had near serious fall on frozen entry steps, so WE had 2 buy a shovel, snow salt - that wasn't provided. Took over a month to get massive $$ sec. dep. back. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

  Owner response: While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I have to strongly disagree with the client’s review on our vacation rental. Most of the review is fabricated as the client failed to adhere to the rental contract. The renter unfortunately wrote out a false and ill-willed review based on her grievance that she was not able to change our rental contract to her liking and get more of a discount than advertised. First of all, she mentioned receiving an “elevated cost of rental above ad rate” which was never the case, as she was referring to a seasonal rate that was not valid for the dates she inquired for. However due to a slower season, I honored the discounted rate. The renter misinterpreted my concern for paranoia of our “14-guest overnight limit”. I was clearly concerned of the 40 guests that will be on the premises at the same time and even initially expressed the lack of room and fire hazard that could potentially so result. Nevertheless, the renter wished to inspect the property before committing to reserving, and I happily obliged. After thoroughly inspecting the property, she made the decision to rent from us. Every argument about how the property was not up to her standards (square footage, no access to garage, limited parking space, small loft area, lack of space, game room set-up, bedrooms, etc.) is not logically sound as she knew exactly what she would be renting prior to reserving our property. She did not bring up any concerns on any of these matters to me at any time before her stay. If I would have known any of her grievances beforehand, I would have done whatever possible to accommodate her. She described that I was only “’helpful’ w/… taking $$”. This is rather an inaccurate statement as I was extremely flexible with the payment schedule and even gave her the opportunity to break up the payments into smaller increments to accommodate her budget. Even with my leniency, she failed to adhere to the payment schedule that we both agreed upon. Credit card fees and parking arrangements are both detailed in the rental contract. Snow shovel was and is provided at the property. Security deposit was only held a few days longer until there was confirmation that there were no police citations for parking in the street. Based on the numerous infringements of the rental contract, we were entitled to retain the security deposit. We, however, again were lenient and returned the security deposit. We are committed to satisfying our guests.

  My family and I stayed for 2 nights/3 days (Dec. 2011) and we were all highly impressed with the rental. The location was very easy to find and was in a very nice neighborhood. We loved the main living room with beautiful vaulted ceilings, the super comfy leather couches, flat screen tv and extra large dining table. The adjacent kitchen was also huge, it had tons of counter space and updated appliances. Everyone had a place to sit, eat, talk, watch t.v. and not feel crowded at all. The clean updated bathrooms were also a huge plus. The location definitely felt more like a high-end timeshare whereas in the past we have rented cabins that made you feel like you were crashing at grandma's house while she was out of town. This gorgeous estate has more of a "model home" feel to it which was awesome. The surrounding yard had just enough snow for the kids to do a bit of sledding as well as some snow angel /snowman making so it was nice not having to leave the property. Truly a great getaway! To top it off, making the arrangements with the owner I thought was straight forward and hassle-free. He always responded promptly to my emails which was refreshing! My only suggested upgrade for this rental would be to add WiFi. But again, overall, very satisfied with our stay and we would definitely rent this cabin again!

  The home was absolutely beautiful and our group enjoyed our stay. Everyone had a place to sleep and there was enough room that we didn't feel bunched or crowded. The game room consisted of a foosball and pool table with a bar and was very cozy. The two masters had personal hot tubs but not a group hot tub. The main living room is huge enough for our group to eat meals and watch television. The hill is somewhat steep enough for sledding but you have to bring your own snow toys. The rooms had very nice furnishings but the shower linens were very basic and thin. The stove was very nice but lacked the flame power for boiling. The views were magnificent from all windows. The only true negatives were the stairs and house tools and gadgets. The steps at the front of the house are a major liability as they iced over and were extremely slippery. There was no shovel to clean off the stairs or driveways from the snow and ice. The kitchen wasn't fully equipped. Be prepared to bring spices, containers, and any special utensils like a potato peeler. We had to haul the trash to the dump at the end of our stay. The main markets were about 15 minutes away and the ski resorts were about 20. We would stay again.

  I had the privilege of renting the majestic estate at Meadowbrooks and our entire party enjoyed our stay; we had our youth group church retreat held at the cabin and it was a memorable event. We didn't do much sightseeing because the cabin was equipped with all sorts of games to entertain all ages. We want to rent it again!!!!

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

  The rooms are large and well appointed and we loved the location. The kitchen works well although the sun is very bright in the morning so I wore my sunglasses while making coffee. The 2 master suites have very nice bathrooms. The property is delivered clean and is well maintained. The owners are very responsive. It would be nice to have a TV in the game room. We recommend this vacation to anyone considering a large family gathering!

* Help yourself pay for your stay with us, even BEFORE you get here. We have a guest referral program and pay a $15 per night referral fee to all who have stayed with us in the past. Please notify us if we have been referred to your friends and family.

*Returning guests are eligible for DISCOUNTED RATES, be sure to ask Daniel about it how it pays to stay at the Beverly Hills Estate of Big Bear.

* Rental Payments can be made with a cashier's check, money order, personal check, bank deposit or wire, or with a credit card payment. Credit card payments of the rental amount will incur a 5% processing fee.

*Security deposit is due within 3 days of booking. 50% of the rental amount is due within 7 days and the rest within 45 days, but not to exceed 30 days prior to arrival date.

Additional Fees and Taxes:

*There is an additional charge of $29 per person per night for parties with more than 14 guests.

* The cleaning fee is $300

*Holiday periods are subject to elevated demand pricing.

*There is a mandatory $750 security deposit with each rental, can be paid by credit card for no added charge.
