This is a gorgeous home that is maintained in great condition. We loved the layout, the location on a lagoon, and the amenities that came with the house. Everything was clean and in good condition. The owners were very helpful with all arrangements. We particularly liked the hot tub and kayaks provided with the house. We would love to return again and recommend the property to anyone.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Great to have you stay with us. Sorry about the hot tub cover blowing off. Those things can happen! We have since reinforced the straps. Come back anytime and receive our 10% returning-client discount on future rentals.

Loved our stay and the view is spectacular! Love the Kayaks and fishing off the dock was fun! Sure wish we had a boat! Excellent place for a boat! Would stay again! Owners were very good communicators. We had a problem with the sliding door not locking and the owners had someone come repair it right away. They measured to replace the entire door! It was not replaced while we were there but they planned to do it. I did recommend they get more cooking pots. I cooked most of the time so having a good variety of pots is important to me. They did plan to get more pots as they felt some of the home items may have walked away! We had an amazing stay. The house is accurately described and has everything you could need. I particularly loved the huge American washing machine. The road is quiet but the neighbours were helpful if you asked. We saw a lot of birds from the deck, and most days a turtle or two. On various trips we saw alligators, American saltwater crocodiles, turtles, terrapins, sting rays, sharks (including a baby hammerhead), dolphins and of course iguanas. I went to the Turtle Hospital four times, and was lucky enough to see a release. We managed to find the burrowing owls after a lot of looking. We saw one manatee at the nearby public boating ramp, but could not find one after our daughter joined us for the last 9 days of our stay. Then as we were about an hour from leaving for home we saw one from the balcony. It came right to the dock next door - and it had a baby with it! We went round and watched them with the neighbours for 20 minutes before they slowly drifted off. Thank you so much for allowing us to share your beautiful home. It has been the experience of a lifetime.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Thank you Margaret for you kind words. So, glad you could come visit and enjoy the Keys. Hope your return to UK was uneventful. Please visit again. Dr Duncan

This home is wonderful and we would really recommend it to anybody. The view from the balcony is to die for and the house itself is really nice and comfortable. We rented a boat and found the location of this property is ideally located for access to the gulf and Atlantic. I have very little experience navigating the water ways in Marathon but had no issues from this location. I really have nothing negative to mention as everything is as explained by the owner, who is very personable and friendly.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Please post. Thankful for these kind words. R. Duncan, DVM

Thank you so much we had a fantastic week in your lovely home. It was very comfortable for us and wow what a view! Fished from the dock everyday and evening, kayaked loads, enjoyed the hot tub and the BBQ. Woke one morning to a dolphin swimming across the bay – what a treat. It was playing (throwing) fish and coming out of the water, such a joy to watch. Kayaked alongside two manatee who we ‘fed’ fresh water to across the bay when a neighbour invited us to from his dock. Watched Rays swimming by night and caught all sorts of fish. The tarpon evening trip was eventful but sadly no catch. Half a day at the dolphin research centre was really special. The sea turtles were in the bay most mornings and evenings and we kayaked out to the island to watch the sunsets. Key West was characterful and fun. The weather was lovely and the holiday too short! Thank you once again – we would definitely recommend to friends and be in touch again if we ever return to the Keys. Wishing we were still there now! Barbara and Rod, We want to thank you for letting us and our friends stay at your beautiful home in Marathon. It was a special time and place for us because we got married in Key West on October 25th, and your home made a perfect honeymoon for us. We brought our boat down and docked it at your dock which made it very easy to access. We enjoyed many hours on your deck overlooking the bay. The hot tub was also enjoyed. It was also nice meeting both of you. I am sure that we will be back again. Thanks again, Ed and Gladys ChandlerDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Our family rented this home last summer for family vacation. The home was extremely convenient to many attractions in the Keys and we found our stay to be very comfortable in this well-kept property. The location of the home on the gulf with docking for our boat on the premisis was a huge plus. The fishing was great. The owner is very accommodating and very pleasant to deal with. We definately will return to this wonderful spot in the Keys. Larry MossDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
