Your world slips away when you retreat to the back yard of this tropical oasis right in the Historic Movie Colony District of Palm Springs. Tropical planting and manicured gardens provide a relaxing sense of peace. The indoors are covered with hardwood floors or paver tiles making it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Relax in front of one of two fireplaces at night when it gets crisp during the winter. The swimming pool and jacuzzi are heated when mother-nature is not heating. Plenty of lawn and outdoor dining furniture, a gas barbecue, and an outdoor portable fire pit are there to help make an evening a true delight. Wake up in the morning and pick fresh oranges, grapefruits, figs, peaches, and persimmons, depending on season. The separate two room guest quarters can hold an extra four people, giving a couple of teenagers a feeling of independence. All this only two blocks from Palm Canyon Drive, filled with shopping and great restaurants. In the evenings, the Spa Casino is only ten blocks away. Four bedrooms and three bathrooms allow the main house to comfortably sleep eight. The separate guest house has two rooms plus a bathroom and kitchenette. One queen and two single beds in the guest house bring the total accommodations to twelve. There is a stereo with a CD player in the living room. The living room and each bedroom have a color TV with cable and a DVD player. Tasteful furnishings and a fully stocked kitchen help make a family reunion or group gathering an excellent event. Pets are always welcome and the property is fully enclosed so they can run around and enjoy with you. Smokers are welcome on the patio.
