Land O' Lakes cabin description
3 bedroom fully furnished on beautiful Crystal Lake located 1 mile east of Hwy 45 Land O’ Lakes Wisconsin. Surrounded by tall pines, quiet yet convenient to shopping and restaurants, bike and hiking trails.
The cabin has 115’ lake frontage and a pier. The lakeshore has a sandy bottom and is shallow for excellent swimming. Crystal Lake is a quiet private lake, almost 100 acres and known for all species of fish. Additionally there are literally hundreds of lakes with public access close by. 14’ Boat is included; motor rental is $50 per week.
The cabin has a screen porch with table and chairs and a view of the lake. Two bedrooms have double beds and the third bedroom has a trundle bed (two twins). The spacious kitchen has a gas stove, large refrigerator, microwave, and table seating six.
The remodeled bathroom has a shower. The Weber Grill and picnic table are ready for your cookouts beneath the many huge pines but save room for s’mores at the fire pit down by the lake.
Deer regularly amble through this former resort, previously called Towering Pines. Now it is a private preserve with abundant wildlife, great swimming, fishing, biking, and boating. And the pines are among the most magnificent in the north woods.
The solitude is wonderful but likely to be interrupted by the call of a loon or soaring of an eagle.

Serenity at its finest!!!
Serenity at its finest!!!
This review is long overdue, and I personally I am upset at myself for not writing about this the day I arrived back as it was such a treat! My girlfriend and I ended up having a long weekend off and found out a week before, so we were in a mad rush to find a place. We both couldn't be happier that Robert was very flexible on such short notice, and Ian was there in a heartbeat when we had a question on how to start the motor on the boat. Very professional and just a great thing to know there are such great people out there that are so accommodating. NOW ONTO THE GOOD STUFF! It was just my girlfriend and myself, and man oh man did we love it. There was plenty of room for 2 people, as it can probably fit 6 people comfortably. We had no idea what to expect, so we brought our whole apartment up there, and there was so much we didn't actually need, as the cabin was outfitted with a full kitchen which helped big time! We had a boat with a motor, a kayak, and a paddleboat, what more can you ask for? We went fishing for one of the days from sun up to sun down, and had a great time. It is so PEACEFUL, and it was really awesome watching the eagles, and they were watching us fishing, and would swoop down every time we threw a fish back in, something I will never forget for the rest of my life. My girlfriend is a photographer, and not to diminish her skills, but it is really hard to take a bad picture out there. Everything, and I mean everything is so beautiful. We have made a pact to go up there at least twice a year moving forward, and we can't wait to share this gem with our families and friends for years to come. Thanks again Ian and Robert for your hospitality, you will see much more of us!

We loved it
We loved it
We came knowing it was going to be a bid chilly but knew the kids and dogs would love it. We all loved it. Even had a fire in the firepit. I got some beautiful photos when I got up in the moring. The water was calm and the trees and sky were mirrored onto the lake. I came back and dusk and took more pictures. They are beautiful. We love Land O'Lakes and it is nice to have a clean cabin at a reasonable rate. It is very well kept up and was nice and toasty warm once the heat was going. Thanks for a great short vacation. We hope to be back next year for a little snowshoeing.

We just returned from a weeks stay at Kiwis Cabin for the second year in a row. Its a terrific place. We had all ages this year and everyone had a great time. The fishing was great (we caught Bass, Northern, perch, and lots of pan fish). The eagles were nesting again, and the deer walked right thru the yard. Very peaceful, but close enough to town for convience. Thanks for a great vacation! The Roemers
