Location: Diamond Lake, Northeast, Washington State, USA (Diamond Lake is Less Than 10 Miles from Newport, Washington) View Map
Accommodations: Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible Bed(s), 2.5 Baths (Sleeps 6)
Bring your own boat and use the long dock, or just enjoy the beach and gentle slope into the water. Rocklette is tucked just inside the mouth of West Bay, so it’s protected but also has great views of the lake. We have 42 feet of waterfront, which is just perfect for all kinds of water activities. Plus, we’re right next to the uninhabited end of the lake, so there’s very little boat traffic.
Rocklette includes a chemical-free two-person hot tub on the deck just outside the master suite (and also accessible from the main deck.) That means you won’t smell like chlorine after you use it – and it’s a great way to warm up after waterskiing early in the morning, or just enjoying a cocktail at sunset!
Inside, the house is perfect for one or two families, with two bedrooms with queen beds, plus two loft bedrooms with four twin beds and lots of extra floor space for kids. Enjoy the Jacuzzi tub in the full bath in the master suite, and the main bath is also a full bathroom. The second bedroom also has an ensuite powder room. Finally, the leather sofa in the living room is a pull-out full-sized bed for extra sleeping accommodations.
We want you to feel that you’ve gotten such a great vacation that you can’t wait to book Rocklette again for future trips. Diamond Lake is inexpensive relative to Lake Chelan or Coeur d’Alene, but it’s the perfect size lake for all water sports including fishing (trout, bass, sunfish and perch), waterskiing or jet skis, swimming, canoeing, sailing, or just floating lazily on an inflatable. We live right next door most of the summer, so we can answer any questions you have or direct you to some of the local activities on and around Diamond Lake.

Map & Owner's Profile
Year Purchased: 2008
Why the Owner Chose Diamond LakeWe bought Rocklette in late 2008 since it's right next door to our place, Rocktail, which we've owned for ten years. We completely renovated Rocklette for rental in 2009, and it's now available for summer rentals!
The Unique Benefits at this CabinYou’ll love the coziness and warm colors of “Rocklette,” our completely renovated four-bedroom home. We put in lots of touches that we like in places we stay, like great mattresses with plush bedding and high thread-count sheets, comfortable leather furniture, a fully-equipped kitchen, great colors and warm lighting. Everything is set up to be easy to use and great for entertaining or just relaxing. Find a space of your own to enjoy on one of three decks; each with a lake view: Barbecue and enjoy food and friends on the spacious main deck just outside the living room, with gas barbecue and two tables with seating. Or relax in the two-person hot tub on the deck outside the master bedroom. Our own favorite is the “sun deck” right at water’s edge, a large new deck that is great for reading or getting a little sun. Northeast Washington State is a great locale in the summer. There are lots of outdoor activities and destinations like Silverwood Theme Park, Sandpoint Idaho, or the Nelson Loop (a great drive up to Nelson British Columbia).

the property exceeded all expectations, beautiful location, very well maintained and clean and an extremely well equipped kitchen. The owners were friendly but not intrusive. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone. We were a very mixed age group (from toddlers to grandparents) and we all had an absolutely splendid time. The lake is lovely to swim in and the boats supplied to play with were just brilliant. A lovely holiday that exceeded all hopes and expectations.

Sweet little cabin on the lake

This is much more a house than a cabin! We really enjoyed our stay there, but the weather while we were there was a bit uncooperative. The only tip I have for future guests is that the water level is really high this year, so there's not much beach/wading to be done. Doug and Denise were so good to us while we were there! We had a family emergency and they helped us out as much as we could have ever hoped. Cabin was really clean - which we loved - and the hot tub (seems like a 2 person tub) was clean and warm.

Who doesn't think about a cabin on the lake for the summer. We rented this cabin for a month and it worked out perfectly for us to get out of the Arizona heat and also have a place for our extended family to come for varying lengths of time. It was a very nice set up for us. We did have a boat which is probably necessary for a stay of any length. It is a good vacation spot for most any group.

Rocklette was just what our family needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was situated in just the perfect spot on the lake, away from the busy end. The house was cozy and inviting and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Thank you Doug, Denise and Nellie (the dog) for making our stay so enjoyable!

I recently stayed at Rocklette with some friends. Its a beautifully appointed home with all the modern comforts tucked in between tall trees in a spectacular setting. this isn't the cabin "experience" I grew up with :-) there was no "roughing it". the rooms are of good size and comfortable. the bath/kitchen newly updated with care. the deck area and dock, plus indoor area, provides lots of space for folks to spread out and enjoy their time. the lake is a quiet respite, and the home a gem. In referring to some of the review tips: I would say the descriptions regarding location, appearance and amenities are accurate. the property was clean and well-maintained. the accommodation size of 8-11 is accurate. the owners were very helpful in answering questions. I didn't have any concerns for them to address. as far as nearby "activities, attractions and restaurants" - well, I didn't want to leave Rocklette - however, if one must, Newport is a short-drive away and has all the grocery, hardware and liquor store items you could possibly dream up. I highly recommend Rocklette.

Girlfriend Getaway of Family Fun?

I stayed here as part of a girls week-end away for a 49th birthday party and have never stayed in a nicer rental for vacation. My bedroom was in the back and had it's own sink and toilet which was very convenient, but the real luxery was the bed....I wish I was still there! Mountains of pillows in varying degrees of firmness, clean, soft sheets and a nice down comforter. The entire place was warmly decorated, cozy and inviting. The deck seems to just flow from the living room and although our week-end was not warm we enjoyed the expansive view. My family (and another) would LOVE going to this place: the kitchen had everything including martini glasses!! I am torn whether my next visit should be with family or girlfriends....

Rocklette made for a great getaway for 5 adults over the holiday weekend. My 2 girlfriends who have kids also mentioned interest in returning with 2 families. The cabin is clean as a whistle, cozy decor, and was actually quite spacious (we did not need to use the sofabed shown, which is in the main living area). Well-stocked with towels, dishes, blankets & pillows, etc. - they've thought of everything. Nice to have a sizable dining table to gather around for meals & games. The hot tub was sparkly clean. (Between the super-comfy bed & hot tub for 2, I'd come back for a romantic weekend.) One of the lofts DOES have a low ceiling, but was fine for my shorter girlfriend, and would be perfect for kids. The location photos don't do this justice - it really IS at the quiet end of big, beautiful Diamond Lake. I appreciated all the fun paperbacks & games - it felt very homey and not as much like a rental. The owners are super-friendly and responsive. I recommend it!
