Enjoy a special vacation in our 2000 sq. ft., beautifully furnished 3 bedroom nonsmoking, chemical free cleaning, vacation home in a quiet country club neighborhood of adults in the Sedona Village of Oak Creek. Our objective is to make you feel right at home from the moment you enter the house. (please read our tenant reviews). This home is completely furnished in all rooms with what you need for everyday living, from laundry, supplies, books, wifi, satellite TV, to a waffle iron and crockpot. Pack light, everything is waiting for you.
Whether you're looking for golf and pampering or outdoor adventure and cultural endeavors, Sedona is the place for both relaxation and fun.
This home is backed up to the land between the lst and 2nd hole in the Robert Trent championship golf course in the Village of Oak Creek. The golfers are far enough away at all times that golf carts and voices/noise are not heard (and no stray balls).
This home is perfect for two couples as the two king bedroom suites and adjoining baths are on opposite sides of the house, separated by the living and dining areas, providing complete privacy as desired.
Everyone who has visited this 2000+ sq. ft. 3 bedroom and game/card room property has admired the architecture and location. It has been a family home until first rented in 2010 to great tenants.
The usual comment when first seen upon entry and during a tour of the house is 'Wow'. Our guests comment that 'your pictures on the web don't do this home justice'. So tour our 25 Union pictures and get an impression but expect it to be even better in person.
The original owners and builder of this one story property made sure it was unique and of a high quality. Coming up the street to first view it causes one to immediately recognize the beauty of the home, fabulous location and the red rock views across the magnificent forested Robert Trent golf course. Tenants are pleased that we live less than a mile away if help or referrals are needed.
The home is situated on 1/3 acre creating both privacy in this adult neighborhood and breath taking views of the forested golf course and world famous red rock formations.
You will notice on the Google map that this lot looks like a 'quarter-round', is a roomy 1/3 acre and has natural desert plants on the two sides of the surrounding vacant land. Lot's of privacy, an additional buffer to the golf path and views of native birdlife awaits you. A gate in the rear wall allows tenants quick access to stroll through the golf course before golfers start in the morning and after golfers are through.
This home provides easy access to handicapped as no exterior door has stairs and the exterior land is flat. An excellent Weber BBQ is available in the east patio. In 'West Sedona' is a large and comprehesive health food market, 'New Frontiers' on hwy 89A.
This home in the Sedona Village of Oak Creek is nestled away from the bright lights of West Sedona, the Village is 6 miles up the Scenic Hwy. 179 and is under 'dark sky' regulations. Here in the village you can just look up and see where the Milky Way streaks across the sky at night, where it is so dark you can see the planets, satellites and space shuttle. Bring your telescope and you can see more from the patios and surrounding land.
The highways, hiking trails and state parks nearby offer breathtaking sights and ample opportunity to commune with nature. Red Rock State Park features an environmental information center as well as wonderful locations for hiking, biking, birding and fishing.
Shaded by cottonwoods and sycamores along the canyon walls, at Slide Rock State Park the adventurous can glide down a natural water slide, while the less athletic can relax at picnic tables in the meadow.
Sedona is 4000 ft above sea level providing a moderate and dry climate closely matching most of Southern California only without the humidity. 80 degrees here seems like 70 in California.
Sedona's beautiful surroundings and laid-back atmosphere have drawn artists to the area in droves. Indoor types will find plenty to do touring galleries, including the Sedona Arts Center, which showcases world-class exhibits and local artists. The natural beauty and peace that comes with a visit to Sedona make it a worthwhile journey for any vacationer.
Those interested in ancient ruins and anthropology will be awestruck by the area's natural rock formations and preserved remains of old cultures. Visitors can hike past the ruins of the Sinaguan Indian on the Boynton Canyon Trail or check out the unique geological deposits at Rachel's Knoll. The Grand Canyon is just a few hours away.
At the end of a busy but energizing day, great restaurants and shopping can be found a Tlaquepaque, a recreated Mexican village. Nearby are many excellent restaurants (menus available).
In the winter skiing and snow play is available 45 miles up the 17 freeway to Flagstaff, a city that is at 7000 ft altitude.
Be sure to go the hybrid satellite view on the Google map to see the relationship of the home to the forested golf course and the red rocks just across the golf course.
When you sign in I will also send you an online album of 100+ pictures of the house,Sedona sights, and the Robert Trent designed Oak Creek County Club golf course.

This is a wonderful property. The home is a spacious and comfortable open concept south western style building. Two patios offer a choice of either sunshine or shade with clear close unobstructed views of Sedona's famous Red Rock Cliffs and the Oak Creek Golf Course, which is the direct northern neighbour. The golf course is home to a lots of critters and we have personally seen bob cats, coyotes, rabbits and squirrels. Birds are the big thing. There were at least three and probably four species of hummingbirds. There are numerous house and gold finches, jays, hawks and Gamble's Quail. The laundry equipment is new and the kitchen has every appliance imaginable. Bedroom furnishings are new and are comfortable. Living room, dinning room and games rooms are all outfitted with high quality, new and attractive furniture. Sedona is home to a large community of artists and as a result there are numerous world class galleries and shops in the area. Restaurants in Oak Creek, Sedona and nearby Page Springs and Cottonwood offer a broad choice to those who enjoy dinning out. We especially enjoyed Nic's in Old Cottonwood. The Grand Canyon is an easy 2 1/2 hour drive and the trip up takes you through the San Francisco Volcano field, which in itself is interesting and worth the trip. We purchased a Red Rock Pass which allowed us to park at state owned trail heads and we did a lot of hiking. There is plenty to do if you want to be active. Our hosts do everything they can to make our stay enjoyable. This was our third year. We have spent 15 weeks in this wonderful home and we will return next year .

This is a wonderful property backing up onto Oak Creek Country Club. The location was better than expected, south of Sedona center, and very close to excellent hiking trails and vortex sites. Dorothy has thought of everything, which is no surprise since she takes the time to "screen" her potential renters. The house is a home and supplied with everything one would expect in their own homes. It is a benefit to have the owners live so close by -- Dorothy provided us with hummingbird food upon request, which provided hours of entertainment! Dorothy responds to questions and suggestions speedily. You cannot get more for your money (and they do call me "Carol Consumer") than this property! In addition, deposit is promptly returned. Since I plan on being back, I hope she doesn't raise her prices!

The best vacation ever!!!
The best vacation ever!!!
First time to Sedona for the 4 of us from St Louis. Everything was perfect thanks to our hosts. Like the photos, the house was beautiful and relaxing...just like being at home! We BBQ'd one night watching the golfers drive by. It was helpful having maps, brochures and restaurant menu's to help make decisions on what to do. Plus they were available by phone for any thing we would need. The views from the back porch were breathtaking. Visited many of the local sites plus golf at OCCC and SevenCanyons. We would recommend this to anyone but would also like to keep this place as our secret ! Thanks again

We love this rental
We love this rental
We have rented for several years in Sedona and have rented this home twice and have already reserved it for 2013. It is a beautifully decorated home on Oak Creek Country Club golf course with views of the red rocks from the patio . Dorothy and Roy are wonderful hosts that have provided everything you would possibly need. The home was spotlessly clean and well maintained. We would highly recommend this home.

This property is a terrific place to stay. It is very well maintained and tastefully decorated. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood. The location was fantastic for our needs. It's a short distance into Downtown or West Sedona. The Village of Oak Creek is very nice and close to great hiking trails. The living room window looks out on a classic red rock formation. Quail and other birds are frequent visitors to the bird bath in the main patio area. Roy and Dorothy are extremely helpful in terms of information about stores and restaurants. They even provide a full assortment of brochures, maps and books about the Sedona area. We could not have been more pleased with the house during our week there. Consider yourself lucky to stay in this house. It is far better than being in a hotel. Five of us were very comfortable and appreciative of what the house offered. BRAVO!

A Perfect Getaway at Oak Creek
My husband and I spent a wonderful week at this property. We were warmly welcomed by the owners, and found the home to be clean, quiet, and with an abundance of literature on the area, from hiking trails to historical information. The view from the back of the house is spectacular, and being on the golf course made it extremely convenient for tee-off times. It's a quick drive to Sedona, other golf courses and hiking trails. We would love to return some day.

Would that I were an eloquent poet, such poetry I could write about this place. But since I am just an individual who was recipent of an wonderful experience, let me say that this home is beyond mere words. Each day greeted us with awe inspiring beauty of nature. The sun rose on majestic red rock formations visible from several locations in the home and from dual patios; each formation and each patio offered magnificent viewing. And the home itself lent itself to the enjoyment of the view. The owners of this place provided everything you could want or need, more than you could expect. The amenities were excellent. Provisions were beyond expectation: garage and opener for parking; large flat screen TV; all kitchen, bedroom and bathroom amenities of which you could have need; wired and wireless computer access. And the personal greeting you are given by the owners to make you aware of amenities and to answer any questions was icing on the cake. It was a sad time when our rental time was ending, so hard to say farewell to such surroundings. Like many others, I sure plan to make a return trip in near future. My thanks to the owners for their graciousness and for the sharing of such a beautiful abode. Be certain that it is our desire to return.

Year Purchased: 2008
About the owner: Roy and Dorothy Crutcher are the owners, retiring from California and moving to the Village of Oak Creek part-time in 2004 and full-time in 2006. We live less than a mile from this property and feel so fortunate to have found another very special and beautiful home. Roy is retired from a career as manufacturing engineer, Dorothy was a district director in the Huntington Beach Union High School District, retiring after 32 years of service.
Why the Owner Chose Sedona:
We consider ourselves to be so fortunate to have discovered the Sedona/Village area. We never expected to leave California but after visiting friends in the Village for several years it became obvious that this beautiful quiet area with 300 comfortable days of sunshine each year promotes a certain peaceful calmness, beauty and energy while the reverse seemed to be happening in California where we grew up and spent our adulthood (and no smog here in Sedona, only blue skies, clean air and vivid viewing of stars) Sedona being at 4000+ Ft. altitude is a bonus as the weather never gets as hot as Phoenix which often is the typical image of Arizona. The nights are cool and comfortable to sit outdoors and view the stars. Winter nights are a little cooler with occasional frozen birdbaths in winter but usually 40-60ish in the day or higher. The history of weather here in monthly averages can be found online at the weather channel. There are no snow plows here, none needed. We very rarely have snow (1-3 times a year) and it is usually a only a dusting disappearing by noon. We never seen a snowplow or have our streets covered more than a few hours since it is soon melted. If you want snow play/skiing you havethat available in the higher elevation of Flagstaff, only about 50 minutes further up Hwy. 17.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
One of the features mandatory to our property purchases was that it must be a one-story (no more stair climbing for us!) While our physical abilities have vastly improved since moving here one might never know when sprained ankle might make stair climbing too challenging. Finding this beautiful home on the Oakcreek Country Club course and having it situated in such a perfect relationship to the 1st hole and 2nd tee was an unexpected bonus. When we purchased our own home we really didn't realize how the village provides more of the dark skies and quiet surroundings, features less available in old/West Sedona and we are so thankful to be in this beautiful environment. People ask us where we are going on vacation and we feel as residents of the village we are on a perpetual vacation!
