Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps up to 10) but may be rented as a 1 or 2-bedroom at a reduced rate if booked within 30 days of arrival.
Enjoy a large, open kitchen, dining and living room with a large wrap-around deck. Master bedroom has a king bed and bathroom with shower. Bedrooms 1 & 2 each have a queen & twin bed. Second bathroom has a shower/tub. All on one level.
This cabin is completely furnished, including linens, dishes & utensils, gas stove, double electric ovens, microwave, dishwasher, gas BBQ, DVD, VCR, Cable TV, WIFI, ceiling fans in living room and all bedrooms, fireplace (wood provided), central heat, and a generator. Long distance calls within the United States are free.
Complimentary coffee, popcorn and activity-planning assistance are available in the property management office where you pick up your keys. Two local markets can supply your food needs. The South Fork of Merced River is a short walk (less than one block) from the cabin.
If you have any questions or needs, or encounter any problem during your stay, the property management company in Wawona is able to assist you.

The historic Wawona Hotel (with seasonal restaurant), a 9-hole golf course, Wawona stables, Covered Bridge, Pioneer Living History Center, the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, Lower & Upper Chilnualna Falls, 6 Trailheads and the South Fork of the Merced River. Yosemite Valley’s waterfalls, Half Dome, El Capitan, etc. are a short drive away (25 miles), plus Badger Pass Ski/Winter Sports area (at 7000’) is 20 miles away on Glacier Point Road. For those with boats, Bass Lake is within 30 miles.

Owner's Map of Yosemite National Park
Our family camped every summer in Wawona for 30 years before we began renting a Wawona cabin for 4 weeks every summer. The children thought the river beach & boulder from which they jumped was theirs. My husband enjoyed fly fishing and reading on the deck or by the river. In 1999, we were able to purchase this cabin at 2581 River Rd and now the grandchildren think the river beach belongs to them. At the same time, I became a hiking and wildflower enthusiast. In the owner’s cabin binder, are articles about the area and notes on my favorite hikes. We live in the San Francisco Bay area and come often to our mountain retreat. We hope that all of our guests leave feeling that some part of this special place is yours.

Cabin 40 was definitely one of the most comfortable places we've stayed. We thoroughly enjoyed the big deck, BBQ, and perfect location just a short walk to the river. We'll be back another year!
