Our condo is beautifully remodeled with hardwood floors, new kitchen/bath and painted in soothing, earthy colors. Let yourself relax on the comfortable leather sofas in front of the crackling wood fire after a hectic day of activity. If you wish you can watch cable or a DVD on the flat screen HDTV, or play one of the board games provided. There is also a walk-in closet right next to the front door to store all your adventure equipment in.
As the condo is located on the second and top floor, the charming balcony is nestled among giant, whispering pines, and the vaulted ceilings create a feeling of spaciousness. Fall asleep on the queen pull-out sofabed with comfy memory foam mattress in front of the crackling fire, or upstairs in the spacious loft. Whether upstairs or downstairs, wake up to gaze out on the snow-covered branches.
After breakfast, walk five minutes to the Quicksilver Lift which will whisk you up to Peak 9 to start out your day of adventure. Located also within easy walking distance is the Ski Center which offers lessons, ski storage, child care, medical care, restaurants, ice skating and more. The National Forest Land and Blue River are also at your doorstep, great for fishing and hiking in the summer.
If you are taking a break from outdoor activities you can walk five minutes to Main Street which is packed with shops and restaurants in charming Victorian buildings. If you don’t fancy walking, Motherlode is on the free shuttle route which will take you all over town and to all the lifts, and is also connected to the Summit Stage which can take you to the surrounding towns (outlet malls, more dining and shopping), and to the three other world class ski resorts in the area (Copper, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin).
The pool complex is a mere 25 yards away and contains a heated pool and four hot tubs, two in and two out, to soak away the muscle pain after skiing, hiking, biking, fishing or any of the multitude of outdoor activities that this charming historic town lends itself to. The pool complex opens in November for the ski season through Easter closing, and again from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The sauna is always open.
If you don’t feel like going out to a restaurant you can cook up a storm in the fully equipped kitchen, or grill some steaks on the gas BBQ on the balcony while sipping a glass of your favorite beverage.
We often stay at the condo so you will find that it’s as homey and comfortable as possible. We try to anticipate what people want and need on their vacations. We sincerely hope you enjoy Breckenridge and Motherlode as much as we do.

My wife and I stayed in the unit Mar 29th through April 3rd. The place was perfect for us, close to the Quicksilver lift, 5 minute walk to Main Street, and easy access to Alpine Sports ski shop for rentals. The unit is perfect for those looking for great value in a comfortable unit. Only thing I wish the unit/complex had was mountain views (either from unit or pool/hot tub area). But, we can't complain at all, only that our vacation had to come to an end.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My boyfriend and I have never been out to Colorado before and one of the main reasons we'd come back would be because of our accommodations. This cute, comfortable, quiet loft was exactly what we needed. Instantly walking in we felt at home and we are planning to come back in the next year to stay again. The studio was not only very clean, but the decor was beautiful! Though it was just two of us, there is definitely room for more with a twin day bed and a pull out couch. I can't stress how perfect the location is, we barely drove our rental car. It's maybe a 5 minute walk to the ski lift and to town. You really couldn't aask for anything better. We also really appreciated how helpful and accomedating the owner was. Anytime we had questions whether about the loft or even where the best place was to grab a nice dinner, she instantly provided answers and suggestions. I highly recommend this property if you are considering a vacation to Breckenridge, CO!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My family of five really enjoyed our stay. The owner was a pleasure to work with and made sure all questions were answered. The accommodations were just as described and were well kept. The complex was quiet and the hot-tubs well located. The walk to the lifts was easy and quick. The only thing keeping this from a five-star rating is that the pull-out bed, while sufficient for younger children, is a pull-out bed and by definition is not the most comfortable for grown children or adults. The provided extra bedding certainly helps, but I would still not recommend the pull-out bed be used for long periods of time by picky sleepers. Nevertheless, I would certainly recommend this unit to anyone seeking a great getaway in Breckenridge.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

Family REALLY enjoyed staying here. Had everything as explained plus a little more. Extra condiments in the fridge and other hot drink miixes and other foods left behind by previous stayers. PLENTY of room for sleeping. However, there were two downsides: 1. If you have a snorer in the family, make certain not to forget earplugs. Noise is not cancelled out from downstairs to upstairs. 2. The stairs to the loft were rather tricky to travel up and down. Each member of our family tripped at least once. Luckily, no one was hurt badly. Those are my only complaints. Location was fabulous, use of pool/hottubs was SO close and easy, and overall, it was a very welcoming and cozy condo.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Everything about this condo was ideal for our week stay in Breckenridge. It was well-appointed, convenient, affordable and comfortable. We arrived to a sparkling clean condo that had everything for cooking, entertaining ourselves and sleeping well. Main Street, like Elma - the owner - notes in her description, is a quick and easy five-minute walk to the shops, restaurants, etc, in Breckenridge. And Elma was very responsive and helpful in answering our questions about the condo and Breckenridge. I would highly recommend this property to anybody who wants a cozy, inexpensive retreat with easy access to all that Breckenridge and the surrounding area provides.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: My husband and I love the mountains, winter and summer. We can't wait for you to experience Breckenridge as well. You'll love it.
Why the Owner Chose Motherlode:
Breckenridge defines the 'Perfect Ski Area'. With terrain that spills directly into the heart of the Breckenridge Village and a gondola that whisks eager skiers and snowboarders to the base of Peaks 7 & 8, exploring the entire terrain in one vacation is near impossible. Enjoy four, interconnected mountains filled with every level of terrain. Breckenridge has become known for hosting one of the best skiing and snowboarding terrain parks in the world.
We have a saying in Breckenridge: 'You'll come for the winters, but you’ll stay for the summers.' There are outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking, white river rafting, golfing, etc and events such as concerts, art/antique fairs, Farmer's and World Markets, The fourth of July parade, an Easter egg hunt, wine and beer festivals, Oktoberfest and many more. This is the perfect mountain town with the perfect weather.
It does not matter what coat Breckenridge is wearing; whether it is cloaked in snow, or bedecked in flowers, it stays stunning all year round.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Location, location, location. Five minutes walk from the lifts/shops/restaurants means you can go home for lunch or you can have a few hot toddies at the slopes after a hectic day of skiing without having to worry about driving. No need to clean your car off until you're on your way home.
Motherlode is located in a quiet area full of rustling pines, and a stone-throw away from a pool complex with a heated pool and 4 hot tubs.
