I rented this condo for my parents who were visiting Toronto. Last time they were in town they stayed here and they liked it; so they decided to stay at the same place again this time. The condo is clean and bright. The neighborhood is trendy and is full of restaurants and coffee shops. There's a big Loblaw's (grocery supermarket) a couple of minutes away and a streetcar stop just steps away. King Street and Queen Street both are good for a stroll with lots of stores and you have the TIFF Lightbox (Toronto Intl Film Festival cinema), the Toronto Symphony, and the Theatre District all withing a short walking distance.Recommended for: Pet owners, tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Place was nice a clean, fresh furniture and fantastic location. King St West is the heart of a vibrant bar/restaurant/club scene and close to great shopping and even within an easy walk of the Financial District. Will definitely be staying here again sometime in the Spring.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We enjoyed a wonderful 10 day stay in this great apartment. It is very well appointed, clean and modern with all the supplies that one needs for a comfortable stay. The King Street area is the perfect area to stay in for getting around and for just enjoying the local restaurants and services. It was easy for us to get to the theatre and the galleries on the streetcars that are a few steps from the apartment and with a convenient link into the subway system about 10 minutes away. We will return often which I think is the best recommendation one can give for an apartment.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This is a nice apartment in a hip downtown neighbourhood. My parents were visiting from Iran for 11 days and stayed here. Everything went smoothly and there were no surprises. The condo is clean and bright just as you see in the pictures posted on the website. The area is filled with bars and restaurants. There's a big grocery store less than 5 minutes away and you can hop on the the King streetcar steps away from the building door. There's also a Bixi (bike rental) stand right on Portland. If you're visiting from out of town that's the best option to explore the city for just $5 a day or 12 for 3 days. If you have Autoshare membership (it's like zipcar) there's also a Autoshare parking area right in front of the building. There's also a zipcar lot just a few steps away. The cell phone in the unit is quite handy too.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This is a great place to stay in downtown Toronto. Brendan is organized and easy to communicate with, the condo is spotless and inviting and the location is fantastic. It's better than a hotel in every way and less expensive. We stayed with our toddler, and it was a bit tight for sleeping but not so tight that we wouldn't come back. For a couple this is fantastic. There is plenty of room to entertain a few guests, though we wouldn't recommend cooking for them in the tiny kitchen— get takeout. The dishwasher is very convenient for getting your breakfast dishes out of the way. What are you waiting for, book it already!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This is the third year that my husband and I have rented this flat - we come for a month each summery to enjoy Toronto and see some friends. This year's stay was great as always. The location is fantastic -close to everything downtown and easy access to public transportation for any destinations that are further out. The flat is great - it's always stocked with nice amenities that make it very comfortable for a short or long stay. The owners are available if you need anything and are great to work with. I highly recommend the property! We'll be back next summer....Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

I had my parents visiting over from Ecuador, they really enjoyed the condo, they got a feel for what living in downtown Toronto is all about. All the coordination necessary before my parents' arrival was done professionally. I never had issues getting support from the owners and customer service was excellent. The condo was clean and the pictures reflect the actual condition of the place. Overall, no complaints, very happy with our decision to stay here.Did you find this review helpful? We stayed for a week in this apartment and it was perfect for our needs. It's exactly as portrayed in the listing; we encountered no surprises. The building is quiet, well-maintained and ideally located for visiting Toronto -- close to sights downtown and with easy access to fine dining, shopping, transit and bixi bike rental, plus there was a grocery store, wine store, and other amenities just a couple of blocks away. The kitchen is stocked well for home cooking -- just provide your own food. The condo is small but well laid-out and comfortable. It's perfect for a couple who enjoy dining out and nightlife, then lounging over homemade breakfast and coffee in the morning. Our exchanges and transactions with the owner were pleasant, professional and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to friends or relatives -- in fact I hope to stay here again myself next time I visit Toronto.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The studio apartment was exactly as described in the description and photos. Very uber-cool. My husband and I stayed here for one week and we were close to all of the attractions we hoped to visit. A short 10 minute walk to Rogers Centre for a Blue Jays game. Just blocks away from all of the cool shops and restaraunts on King and Queen Streets. Brendan was extremely easy to contact and he was very thorough on providing information about the property and surrounding neighborhood. For parking, we recommend the lot on Wellington Street. Restaurant recommendations include any of the three Fresh franchises. And, Sadie's Diner. Would definitely recommend and also hope to return some day.Owner response: I like your restaurant picks! I think it's fair to add for those that don't know, both Fresh and Sadie's are vegetarian restaurants. I'm a big fan of Fresh in particular, but if you are die-hard carnivore (like Melanie) you should look elsewhere!

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2009
About the owner: We are a newly married real estate team who have rented apartments in Argentina in the past and decided we should do the same in our own city - this is our second vacation rental in downtown Toronto. Brendan is a former travel writer and international tour leader who has worked and travelled in over 60 countries. Melanie is a former HR consultant for the advertising industry. Together we are also the BREL Real Estate team! Between us we speak fluent English, French, Spanish and Japanese. We are fun-loving, social and love our city--and look forward to helping others enjoy it too.
Why the Owner Chose Toronto:
As world travelers who call Toronto home, we always appreciate the city's energy, multiculturalism and music and arts scene when we come home from abroad. We love eating out and going out, so we bought what we thought was the ultimate location for someone who wants to really explore the city.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Read our reviews! The condo is almost brand new, funky and in an incredible location--so central to the King Street lounges and restaurants that you practically walk out the door and you are in the middle of things. Note that you don't really need a car here, as there is so much within walking distance. The streetcar is a block away, and you'll never wait more than 30 seconds for a taxi right out front--at any time of night or day.
