Beautiful Ski in/Ski Out Condo at Powderhorn Lodge

  Our family arrived in the middle of a snowstorm on Christmas Eve. Our car was packed to the gills with people, luggage, ski gear, and groceries, so it was such a gift that we could pull in to a garage and unload out of the storm! There were even luggage trolleys to help us get up to the 3rd floor! I'm the kind of person who begins every vacation using Lysol wipes to clean the kitchen and baths and other surfaces. This place is not only beautiful and comfortable, but it is sparkling clean! I can honestly say that it felt like we were the first guests to stay here. I didn't even feel like I had to clean the dishes before I used them! The owners had a decorated a Christmas tree in the living room, and there were plenty of comfortable chairs to relax in front of the fire after a long day of skiing. My teenage boys really appreciated the new high tech tv that was able to play their go-pro videos of the day's skiing. The owners thoughtfully provide plenty of quality linens, various cleaning supplies, and even their personal collection of movies and books. The building is very quiet and very convenient to all the amenities of the Solitude Village. One thing that everyone commented on was that it felt so relaxed and peaceful. All the people who work in the village are extremely kind and friendly. There is a free laundry room on the 4th floor that has 2 washers and 4 dryers, and we did daily loads but never noticed anyone else using them. There is a hot tub just for this building that again was basically all our own. The size of this condo was just right for all 6 of us. It truly did feel like we spent a week in a snowy paradise. Solitude ski area was big enough and challenging enough for our experienced back country skiers but did not have the busy, crowded feel of some of the nearby resorts. We'd absolutely positively return to this place. Many fond memories.

  What a delight to travel half way across the world to a lovely condo on Xmas eve with Xmas tree twinkling when we got there in the unit. It snowed and the next day we got up to the most beautiful day for a full days skiing and no lines at the lifts. We will definitely be back the information given to us by the owner was so helpful, the ski hire staff so helpfull. After a ful day skiing either the hot tub at the condo or at club solitude a swim in the outdoor heated pool or tubs...a work out at the gym. What can I say we loved it! Oh and if you are going to eat try Silver fork its unreal too and they even pick you up.
