I booked this cabin last weekend for my grandmother and all her grand kids. It was a wonderful location with an amazing view and plenty of space. There was nothing better than having coffee with grandma In the morning on that beautiful top deck taking In the crisp air and admiring the view. This 4 bedroom, 4 bath cabin is absolutely state of the art. The view from the outdoor deck with jacuzzi is a panorama of snow-topped mountain peaks and the valley below. We stayed a full week and enjoyed every minute--went snowshoeing just down the road and also downhill sledding with our grandkids ages 3 and 11. My college-age son and a few friends came for a few days to go snowboarding--the lift is just minutes away on lovely Bear Mountain. There are many good restaurants in town such as the Grizzly Bear Cafe, but mainly we stayed cozy and warm, enjoyed a wood-burning fireplace, and cooked 3 meals a day on a top-of-the line oven range. All the appliances are modern--the furnishings tasteful, elegant but comfortable. Views from every room--a pool room downstairs was enjoyed by the college kids. Movies and books abound and the wide-screen TV is huge! I would recommend the "Good Times Chalet" to anyone who appreciates the finer things in life in a scenic mountain setting. This cabin was amazing! We had 10 adults and 2 children and the cabin fit everyone comfortably. The rooms were huge, the view was beautiful and the kitchen had all the utensils, pans, etc. to cook for a big crowd. We all loved and want to go again. Judy, the Owner is so responsive if you need any questions answered. Thank you, Judy for allowing our family to have such a great time!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

What a great Big Bear get-away! The cabin is perfect for multiple families - having 3 king beds is so rare and wonderful. The views are fantastic from this cabin, the kitchen is well stocked, and the owner is friendly and very helpful. Although walking to the ski lifts would've been tough given the steepness of the street, it is located extremely close to Bear Mtn. and we enjoyed 3 great days of skiing. We hope to visit again in the future!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a wonderful stay here last weekend! The place is very large and cozy. It was perfect for our group of 10 adults, but would also be great for families. The house was very clean upon arrival and had everything we needed- plenty of linens, towels, dishes, utensils, cookware, etc. We loved having the hot tub outside on the deck, and with such a beautiful view! Perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes. The owner, Judy, was a pleasure to work with. She responded right away to all my emails, answered all of my questions, and provided us with detailed directions and a welcome packet with all the info we needed and more! The cabin is also in a great location, walkable to Bear Mountain resort, and a close drive to shopping, groceries, and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This house has everything you need for a great getaway. The owners are very nice and accomodating to your needs. The property listing is accurate to what you actually see when you arrive. Me and my friends (12 of us) wanted to getaway for my birthday weekend. A little get together up in the mountains after a few days of online searching we came across this house so we gave it a shot, and boy was the house perfect! Great location (2 minute drive to the slopes literarely), great view, great amenities! It doesn't matter if you're with friends or family this house will be perfect for you i'm sure. we really had a great time! Thanks Judy for everything! We rent this cabin every year because it is so amazing. It is one of the only cabins we could find that has such a great space to entertain. The living room and kitchen are combined in one large open space. It's perfect for entertaining and hanging out. The adults can converse upstairs while younger ones play downstairs in the pool room. With four bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms, it's a perfect fit for a large family or group. We LOVE this cabin; thanks for letting us rent it each year.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We just came back from the best weekend in Big Bear! We filled the cabin to capacity and had more than enough room for everyone. I don't want to repeat what the other reviews have said (but they are all spot on), but no one has mentioned how comfortable the beds are! Every bed was so cozy and even the twins, converted to a king, were perfect! The linens are top of the line too. The location is ideal. We were worried that we were too "out of town" but it couldn't be better. The views were so amazing and the it was so quiet at night, we would have never had that if we were closer to town. It only took about 10 minutes to get to the village anyway, so it really was perfect. The cabin is very clean, well stocked and comfortable for people of all ages. The stairs can be a bit steep, so it may not be ideal for the fragile guest, but otherwise it was perfect! We can't wait to go back! Judy was super great to deal with as well. We were a last minute booking and she went out of her way to help us get everything taken care of!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This is the best cabin our group have ever been to. Very spacious with a cozy feel. You can tell they put some thought into the decorating to give it a rustic appeal. We cooked a lot up there and the place has all the amenities you'd ever need. View was beautiful over the lake and the sunset was even better. The host owners were very helpful and provided detailed instructions, courtesy, and were easy-going. Even though we had thunderstorms and rain the weekend we went up, we had a great time indoors of this place. We hope to come up there again!Did you find this review helpful? This property was very spacious and boasts a great view of the Lake and surrounding area. The outside deck has a great viewing area and the jacuzzi takes center stage at night. The kitchen is well stocked with all the pots, pans, utensils, dishes you need, along with top end appliances to cook your meals on. The Living room has a large bar and sports a large screen television. Wifi throughout the house is nice but would be great if it was a little faster :) Three levels will ensure you get plenty of exercise... something I can surely use. Location is a stones throw away from Bear Mountain Ski Area. All in all, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay here. Will definetly stay here in the future.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This cabin has it all! The great room upstairs with well stocked kitchen, big screen tv & comfy couches. It is a great place for everyone to hango. I love sitting on the couch, drinking my coffee & looking out at the lake. It is such a peaceful setting. It is a great cabin to bring your family with lots of bedrooms for everyone. The kids loved the game room & the jacuzzi was lots of fun too. I will definetely continue to rent thia cabin with family & friends.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I have stayed at this gorgeous cabin on multiple occasions both in summer and winter. We love it! I've gone with family (ages 13-73) and with friends (ladies ski weekend). It is spacious, has amazing views, is well stocked, within walking distance to the ski resort, close to town and every room is decorated beautifully. It's a winter wonderland, beautiful, has a great hiking path close by and of course terrific skiing. In the summer we have boated, bbq'd, hiked, biked, shopped, bowled, saw movies on the huge family room plasma tv and had a blast. I highly recommend this vacation home! I wish it were my own! Oh, we also LOVE the jacuzzi on the balcony-the view is incredible!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
