  We just returned from this property in April 2013. We really enjoyed the property. We felt the location was perfect. You are close to Kona but do not have to deal with the business of Kona if you choose not to. The unit is well maintained. The overall property is older and you may read on trip advisor some negatives about the Kona Surf and Racquet Club. I think these are from people that stay in the townhomes as some of them appeared in rougher shape. This unit though was great. You are close enough to the ocean that each morning you will need to wipe off the table on the lanai as it will have a salt spray residue. The lanai is very large. There is an area for dining and an area for lounge chairs. The views are magnificent. The inside of the unit is very comfortable. Being so close to the ocean there are some rusting issues on appliances and other metal items but they are just cosmetic. The view is well worth this. Sandy was great to work with and our check in and check out process was seamless as was all aspects of arranging our trip. There are only two items that may be negatives for some people to consider. The unit is on the third floor and there is no elevator. The unit also does not have air conditioning. This did not bother us as we left the doors open to the lanai and it stayed comfortable. On very humid days the unit was a little hot but it cooled off nicely at night. Since it is a third floor unit, you can safely leave the doors to the lanai open all of the time. This unit is perfect for families or couples. it is large enough that a family can comfortable stay here and it is a great value for the size and location.

  We spent 10 days in this condo and it was very nice. Breakfast on the lanai each morning listening to the crashing waves at night was wonderful. Watching the boats and seeing the dolphins from our Lanai was very exciting. We did not want to leave. We were a party of 8 and there was plenty of room with extra's. The condo was clean, equiped with everything that we needed, the sofa is very nice in this condo! We had plenty of beach towels, a new cooler, snorkel gear and boogie boards, a home away from home. The pool was very nice as was the out door grills. We really enjoy this complex it is not too far from town and and the Keauhou Shopping center where the grocery store, post office, drug store and on certain days there is a Farmer's market, right up the road. Snorkeling and beach area's are very close, we swam with the turtles almost daily, clear blue water, what more can you ask for! We look forward to returning!   We absolutely loved our 2 weeks on the Big Island and this condo unit was a big part of it. There was plenty of space for our four children and the two of us to spread out and feel at home. The lanai was large and we spent every evening eating our dinner out there and watching the sunset. It felt as if noone else was there when you were on the lanai - just you and the ocean. The condo had everything our family needed. It was well located to snorkel being a half mile away from Kahaluu Beach and a half hour from Four Step by the Place of Refuge which had some great snorkeling. We had a chance to swim out to a deeper section of the bay at Four step and enjoy the dolphins. Boogi Boarding was great at White Sands beach a mile away. The best beach for swimming, snorkeling and relaxing was about 40 minutes north at Mauna Kea but you have to get there early because they only allow so many guests into the resort parking lot. If you don't get in there go to Hapuna beach which is right next door to it on the south side. We also paid to snorkel with the Manta Rays. I'm pretty cheap but we all felt this was one of the best things we did on our trip. Worth every penny! Sandi, who manages the condo is very helpful and make the whole process easy. We can't wait to go back some day!

  We just returned from our trip on the Big Island, and what a great time we had at this condo! When we arrived, the unit was warm, but after opening the windows and balcony doors, the unit was cooled off, and we never noticed the heat throughout the next 5 days we were there. There was ample space for my 2 kids, wife, and I to spread out, and we loved sleeping with the doors open to allow the loud ocean waves to lull us to sleep each evening. We had dinner on the lanai balcony almost every evening, taking in the tranquility of the horizon and the ocean, catching several lovely sunsets. The unit inside was large and a great value, given the cost. My daughter enjoyed reading in the upstairs area, where a 2 -person sofa could be converted to a bed (which we did not need). The high ceilings gave the unit a sense of more space, and the kitchen was the best stocked we have ever encountered, down to bottle after bottle of spices! There were even 3 boogie boards, 2 beach chairs, 2 snorkel sets, and boundless beach towels that my kids took ample advantage of at the beach daily. There is amazing snorkeling within 1 mile of the condo and at K-Bay, which was only about 10-12 miles away. Our kids loved boogie-boarding at White Sands beach just 1.5 miles away, with waves exceeding 10 feet tall at times (will need caution). Sandy was a joy to work with, efficient and with plenty of information prior to arrival. She even arranged to have our missing items mailed back to us at home at her cost! With the views from the condo, the ocean lullaby, the well-stocked kitchen, the ample unit, AND the price, this was one of the best vacation values we have had anywhere.

  “The perfect vacation rental” Reviewed in Trip Advisor on May 11, 2012 Condo 1-303 was more than I expected. The place was large, the couch I wanted to take home, the bed extrememly comfortable, view from lanai awesome, kitchen fully equipped well beyond what I expected. I hope to come back to this particular unit yearly. Thanks to Sandy Kumar for making it effortless.

  This condo had all the comforts of home and the feeling of being in one of the most gorgeous areas on the island. My husband , son (25), daughter (27) and myself spent one of the most relaxing and enjoyable weeks here in late June, 2011. The furnishings inside and out were very comfortable, spacious and well kept. The lanai was like an additional room. We spent as much time outside as in. It was a great area to relax and read as well as have a sunset dinner including an island cocktail. Everyday we watched the canoe teams pass by our condo. Several days we were greeted by schools of dolphins swimming and spinning in the air right outside. The extra ammendities such as the tennis courts, pool and barbques were definitely a plus. The main town was only 10 minutes away and had every type of activity and entertainment you could want. I have already recommended this condo to our friends who will be going to the big island soon. I will definitely stay here any time I come back in the future. This condo is the best value on the island, you won't be disappointed.
