As you entered the custom build retreat, you are welcomed by a large gourmet style kitchen, a wood-burning fireplace and pool table in the games room. Step outside on the patio and enjoy the hot tub, or the sauna. Clayoquot Calm has an open floor plan with full frontal waterfront views from master bedroom, kitchen, dining room, and living room.

This is our 2nd time renting this property for my annual birthday celebration in Tofino and we had an even better time than the last time! This house fit our needs perfectly: We loved how much open space this house provides, especially for our group of 8 people. The kitchen and dining room were great for our big breakfasts and dinners and we loved the hot tub on those cold November nights. :) The bedroom options were great and the master is a dream....well, I could've lived in that bathroom alone! We loved the privacy and the lovely walk down to the beach. It was a great stay and we couldn't have asked for more. I think we'll be booking this for all my birthdays to come - it's become a great tradition! Thank you to Roy and Katie for another memorable birthday weekend for me and my friends. xoRecommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I spent four days at Clayoquot Calm and my only regret was that we didn't stay longer. The location offers the privacy of a forest retreat while being located only a minutes drive (no kidding!) from Chesterman beach. For those who don't like stormy weather it is sheltered from the wind on the inlet side. For those who want to experience the elements just cross the road basically and you'll get all the waves you want! My wife's favourite thing was definitely the heated floors. I loved the hot tub. The two worked really well together - go outside into the cold and hop into the hot tub. Relax and enjoy the weather and then head back in to the heated floors. When we go back for surfing next fall those floors are going to be a godsend after taking off the wetsuits :P. I hope you all enjoy your stay! 5 stars without a doubt.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I went to Clayoquot Calm for our Honeymoon, and we had a great time! The house is spacious but still feels cozy - a great place to relax after a long day of surfing, kayaking, or hiking. It was very clean and well maintained, and the hot tub was crystal clear. Some things that we especially enjoyed doing were taking surfing lessons at Storm Surf School as well as going hiking through the Pacific Rim Park. We especially liked the Schooner's Cove trail - it was full of these great wooden walkways in the air through the trees. We would definitely recommend Clayoquot Calm to our friends and family!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
