Beautiful views

We enjoyed the unsurpassed views, but the house is only 5 bedrooms plus den, not 6. Additionally, if you want to use the den as a bedroom, you will sleep on a 2 inch mattress on the floor. The furnishings are extremely lacking comfort as well as appearance, and the house is very dated. Although there are two fireplaces, renters are charged $300 if they use them. If it wasn't for the views and location, I would not recommend it at all.

Owner response:We apologize that the house was not more to the guest's liking. This reservation was a last-minute request, and we worked hard to accommodate the guest in being able to occupy the house on her time schedule. This house does in fact have 6 bedrooms, but one is being used as an office. The listing furthermore does clearly state that there are only 5 beds in the house. After arriving at the house, she asked for extra bedding, at which time we offered her the futon mattress. The rental contract - which guest reviewed and signed before renting the house - does state that the fireplaces cannot be used. Not only have the owners themselves never used the fireplaces, we are trying to prevent any cleanliness issues that would mar the experiences of our future guests.

This was a wonderful experience primarily because of the location and the views. The house could not have been better situated and the views were stunning from all rooms. We had to adjust to having no privacy shades on the windows so at night anyone who might be outside the house can see everything/everyone on the inside of the house (if the lights are on). I only bring this up - because if you live in the city you are probably used to closing your shades or drapes at night. The saving grace is that the house is situated in such a manner as to truly preclude those passing by from seeing in the house - again - perfectly well-situated. The house is designed more for adults than young children and has a comfortable dining experience and very nice kitchen. Dealing with the owner's representative was a very professional and responsive experience. This also made the experience comfortable and rewarding (no hassles at all!). Home was very clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend this home - and would love to return myself again.

How lucky our family was to have the opportunity to stay in this amazing home. One of the most beautiful locations in the world...incredible views from every room. Glorious sunsets, wildlife out every window and the ocean seconds away. We were truly in heaven!!! None of us wanted to leave...everything we needed was right there for us, we were so comfortable it felt like our own home. So much to do...hiking, biking, fantastic golf courses everywhere we turned. Carmel has the best shopping anywhere, and every restaurant we tried was fantastic. Wineries and wine tastings were abundant....really a vacation with something for everyone. We would recommend this property to anyone and there is no question that we will be back....SOON!!!!

Incredible Vacation Home

Our family just had our second year at this beautiful home at Pebble Beach. During our first year we thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of our surroundings and the loveliness of the home. As a result, we could hardly wait to return. The home is even more than pictured or described. Plenty of room, spacious accommodations, and visits from local deer and fawn daily! We could not have asked for any greater hospitality from our property management folks. They were personable, responsive, and concerned about making this a special vacation time. We took advantage of beach walks, bike rides, golfing, shopping and dining. We loved it all! After our first stay, my girlfriends heard from me about how wonderful the managers were and how outstanding the "home away from home" was, so after 30 years of traveling together to Monterey Bay area, we gathered at this amazing Pebble Beach home for a week of laughter and serenity, surrounded by gorgeous walks and views of woods, sand dunes, golf courses, and the ocean and its many critters. The girls felt we were treated most graciously by hosts. We have already arranged to return. We are building treasured memories and appreciate the great service as well. Couldn't be better!

Picturesque Views, Great Location

The views in person are even better than the pictures. Our family reunion was ideal in this gorgeous house. All 3 generations could quickly and easily walk to the ocean, enjoy the amenities and relax. Close proximity to Monterey and Carmel-by-the-Sea, with beautiful views along the drive. We saw deer, otters and whales every day, and got to watch golfers at Cypress Point, all from the livingroom. The management agent renting this house was professional, responsive, personable and helpful. I could not have asked for a better experience.

Breathtaking View!

Oct 17, 2010 - We just got back and the house was incredible. We were 4 golfers from Toronto, Canada. We had ocean view from almost every room and Cypress Point was just off the left side. The house had two very large common rooms with spectacular views!!! Rooms were spacious and clean. Our next visit will be with our wives, but golf included.

Outrageous view of the ocean from a beautiful house

First of all, the view is outrageous! Every day, we watched whales, seals and otters frolic in the ocean. In the mornings, we were greeted with a family of deer grazing right outside the windows. In the evenings, we watched the sun set and the moon rise. We walked every day along the ocean/17-mile drive. The house is large, beautiful and well-maintained! Comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen and clean. The property is very well managed - every question we had was answered promptly. We have recommended this house to family and friends. We had a fantastic time! We'll be back!

Unbelievable views of the pacific and Cypress Point

My family and I stayed at this property in April 2010 and were in town to run the Big Sur marathon. I don't know there are better locations for a rental. The view of the Pacific is breathtaking and we loved waking up to the sounds and sights of the ocean below. The house is large and well-kept and the property is well-managed. The Lone Cypress and Pebble Beach are just down the road. Cypress Point is just out the door and Spyglass Hill intersects across the street. Monterey and Carmel are just a short drive away. This will be a trip and a place that we all will remember for a long time.
