Wavecrest's beautiful grounds and Building A's million dollar view aside, your great care in furnishing Ka Hale Ola gave us the feeling that we were guests in your home, which added immeasurably to our enjoyment of our time on Molokai. As always, our trip here was amazing. I think we were made for island life on Molokai. We will certainly be returning. Your condo has only gotten better - I swear we could have come here with only 2 swimsuits and a change of clothes and would have been fine! You keep your place so well appointed! Dear Chaya & Tom, What an unexpected pleasure to share a Valentine's party with you and the friendly people of Wavecrest. Ka Hale Ola was by far the best equipped of any place we have ever stayed and the location, especially the view from the lanai, was fantastic. We had to come to Molokai because when everyone says "Why would you want to go there?" well that's just a challenge isn't it? We enjoyed every part of it, every sight, sound, and sensation. Sometimes there were "ooooh's" and sometimes there were "aaah's," and most often there were "mmmmm's." We do sense it is an island that is facing some difficult decisions, ones that do not have an easy answer, and possibly risk dividing the inhabitants, but time will tell what the future holds. A beautiful paradise with friendly people and a feeling of "Old Hawaii." That's why we wanted to go there and that's what we loved.

Dear Chaya & Tom, We feel so fortunate to have found "Ka Hale Ola." Your condo is so tastefully decorated, comfy and all the amenities were greatly appreciated - you have thought of everything! The view from the lanai is spectacular. We enjoyed every minute of our 10-day stay on Molokai. We explored the island from east to west taking in all of its beauty. The highlight of our stay was the visit to Kalaupapa. Jordan hiked the trail while I rode the mule. We both had an awesome experience. The hike to Halawa Falls with a young local girl was most enjoyable. We ate at most of the recommended eateries but our favorite meals were on our lanai with the sound and beauty of the Pacific Ocean. Mahalo for sharing Ka Hale Ola with us. Aloha until we meet again. We are so going to miss morning coffee on the lanai!!!

Molokai was the perfect Hawaiian getaway for both of us and your condo/accomodations were the best! Convenient, yet secluded! We enjoyed hikiing & 4-wheeling the entire island - Palaau State Park, Kepuhi & Papohaku beaches, Wailau Lookout (sadly didn't make it to the bog, but we tried), Halawa Valley - hiked to the falls with a guide we discovered here at Wavecrest - she did a great job! We enjoyed going to town daily to buy food and visit the shops and meet the "friends and characters" in town. The mule ride to Kalaupapa was an exciting adventure and the tour of the colony very interesting. The hike and visit to Iliiliopai Heiau was amazing. I think we made the most of our trip to this beautiful and enchanting island. At the end of the day, it was nice to return "home" to a very comfortable and cozy corner of Molokai and Ka Hale Ola! After spending 8 days at Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu's north shore "Vans Surfing Competition," our visit to Molokai and your beautiful tranquil piece of heaven for some R&R was just what we needed! Chaya & Tom, After staying I think 4 times at Molokai Shores, Ka Hale Kealoha, we decided to try Ka Hale Ola at Wavecrest. Both of your condos ... are the best of the best. We have decided that we actually like the distance from town, the quiet, and the spectacular private view from your lanai.... Sparkling marble floors! Art work! Fully equipped kitchen, lovely towels and linens. You could honestly bring only your clothes; everything else is provided.... We drove back to town for the wonderful Christmas Electric Light Parade - only time the streets are completely clear of cars pre parade. They did a wonderful job with the floats, lots of lights, around 12-15 floats/groups. Everyone was so nice.... Great first day.... Definitely fantastic week - so grateful. Aloha

We certainly enjoyed our short stay at your condo which, by the way, is the best equpped condo we have ever stayed in. Two days is not nearly long enough to take in all the sights and things to do on this beautiful little island. We would like to return sometime and stay for a week or two as Molokai is a great place to unwind from the daily grind and stress. Thanks for being flexible and working with us on the days we stayed.

We had beautiful (although windy) weather. The highlight was, of course, the mule ride to the former leper colony. We visited the Kalaupapa outlook and phallic rock (making sure not to come in contact whatsoever with it; although I am 55 I don't want to tempt fate!). Also went to Papohaku Beach.... also visited the west end condos.... We ate at Molokai Pizza twice (more than just pizza!), Paddler's Inn.. the people were so welcoming! We had only 4 nights here; 1 more would have been perfect! Thank you again for sharing this beautiful condo with us. Everything here that one could possible anticipate.

Dear Chaya & Tom: We had such a wonderful experience here on Molokai. It was on our bucket list, and we were not the least disappointed. The view from the deck was gorgeous in morning and evening and we ate out there most every day. It was so exciting to see all three islands on most days. We enjoyed your "little bit of paradise" immensely. We'd love to come back to watch the whales someday. We flew in to Kalaupapa today and saw the world famous cliffs and the leper colony. It was a trip of a lifetime! Almost our 40th anniversary!

Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful condo. The views, the breezes... the whole experience was perfect. We had saved Molokai as the last of the big islands to explore and here we've found a thousand reasons to return! The quiet, the beautiful hiking, Kumu Farm and your well outfitted kitchen were highlights on this stay - we will return! It is hard to name a "favorite" - so many great beach walks, the overlooks, kite factory, poking around town, and just "being" in paradise! Dear Chaya and Tom, We enjoyed our stay at your lovely condo. The ocean views from the lanai are beautiful. Molokai is a beautiful island. We enjoyed mailing a coconut to our granddaughters, snorkeling with several turtles, a ray, and hundreds of fish, eating a picnic lunch on a beach we shared with a monk seal, stringing plumeria leis, the mule ride, and exploring the island's many beautiful beaches and sights. Chaya and Tom - Thank you so much for the wonderful accommodations! Your condo is just perfect! We have had a wonderful 4 days here! I love this island! It's so quaint and mellow! :) I see why you have so many properties here. So far our honeymoon has been wonderful! We visited the phallic rock and the leper colony (the mule ride was fantastic!). We saw the island from one end to the other, and absolutely loved it! I must have taken 1000 pictures and even more memoreis! Tomorrow we head to Maui for 8 more days, and I'm sure it will be awesome as well, but I'm glad we started here! :) All the best. ps I'm glad we got the chance to meet you guys! ... Chaya has furnished this place meticulously and thoroughly. We found coffee, a funnel, detergent ... all the comforts of home except that here the linens and silverware are nicer.... This is my idea of vacation - vacating my life and my mind. We want more of this, so I guess we'll have to come back. If we save our pennies and frequent-flyer miles, maybe we'll be able to stay longer next time.

Aloha Chaya & Tom, We've thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your lovely condo on Molokai. It's been an adventure. We drove to Halawa Valley - that was an e-ticket ride but well worth it! Took the mule ride and tour to Kalaupapa. The tour guide shared a lot of info about Fr. Damien and Sister Marianne. It was very inspirational.... For our 20th anniversary dinner we ate a delicious meal at the Cookhouse. Mahalo for remembering our anniversary!

Chaya & Tom We have enjoyed ourselves immensely! Thank you for sharing your home with our family. Everything was well stocked and the Hawaiian people are so nice. We enjoyed the pace of life here and the beaches. The trees I love so much! Colors are amazing. We are going to msis the sound of the trees and ocean blowing at night. The stars are amazing. We went to the west 45 minutes and were the first footprints on the white sandy beach.... So beautiful this island, like being in the country.

Chaya and Tom - Your condo is the perfect place to spend 6 wonderful days on Molokai. The only bad part is leaving... we'll definitely be back. We'd visited Maui a half dozen times, but my husband was drawn to Molokai almost the moment we landed. The pace here is the perfect antidote to our workaholic ways. We now have a new phrase in our family. If one of us wants to take our sweet old time to do something, we say "I'll do that in a Molokai minute" ... part of the island charm.

We love your little slice of paradise! You have provided a little haven in the hectic storm of traveling! We loved our stay on the Friendly Isle of Molokai and all its natural beauty! We snorkelled in her waters, we traversed the cliffs on mules and explored the quaint little towns with joy. Thank you for sharing with us this bounty! God bless.

Aloha Chaya and Tom, We are so glad we booked 10 whole days here. It has given us the leisure to see a lot of things without rushing.... We can happily recommend all activities. While we were here Tom has a kidney stone attack...we went into emergency at the Molokai General Hospital... This is a well equipped hospitl...a very good experience. Thanks again for this beautiful and comfortable place!

Dear Chaya and Tom, What a glorious place to celebrate our anniversary! Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and generosity. We loved staying in your beautiful condo and hope to return again soon. Still have adventures on Maui we'd like to enjoy. Met some lovely people at the pool, loved having private beaches to ourselves and a great place for walking. Really a great place to visit.

Thank you Chaya and Tom. We plan to return. Forgot to mention the whales. I don't have the best time of the day for them, but they werre abundantly visible from the lanai in the late afternoon. Find a puff of white vapor from a "blow," then focus your binoculars there. Or if you see a large white splash of water, they are leaping clear out of the water. Be patient; they will come.

This has been the best and most memorable of our Hawaiian vacations. Although I was born in Oahu, I had long since decided not to return to that over-commercialized rock with bumper-to-bumper traffic. Maui & Hawaii & Kauai much better, but ... I told Rita that I wanted to go to Molokai where I had never visited before. She searched the web, found Ka Hale Ola, and the rest is history. Having made the reservations, we then found that Chaya and Tom were real people - personable, intelligent, interesting, and sociable. We invited them to go deep sea fishing on Mike Holmes' boat, the Ahi. They readily accepted, but the trip was cancelled because of small craft warnings that morning. In the planning stage of our trip we requested a convertible - good move! So with the top down most of the time we explored the paved portion of the island. Having come here after just spending six days on Kauai, the comparison was incontrovertible, and Molokai wins hands down. No bumper-to-bumper traffic here; you can drive for miles and not see a car. And drive we did!.... On March 11, 2011, the TV began reporting a devastating 8.9 earthquake that had occurred in Japan; we watched in horror as a large and devastating tsunami marched inexorably across the Japanese landscape, causing untold damage, death, and destruction. At the same time, the Pacific tsunami warning center began warning that a tsunami was approaching the Hawaiian Islands. TV warnings were saying that those in low-lying areas should evacuate before 3 am when it was supposed to hit the islands.... And then an amazing thing happened: our phone rang, and Chaya asked us to spend the night in their new home, safe from whatever was going to happen. We did.... Pure magic - and beauty - and hospitality. Mahalo Nui
