Once again my family has spent a spectacular week in Sanibel Island with my parents. My parents have rented this condo for several years now, and it is the perfect location to watch the sunrise from the porch and hear the surf from open windows, too. Easy walk to beach and pool. Hi Jim, Good afternoon. My family and I had a great time and we enjoyed your home away from home. We enjoyed the view of the gulf from the screened in porch and the beach was very nice. I liked the fact that your condo was close to just about everything on the island and we could ride bikes to many of the attractions. Your condo was clean, quiet, and just an all around nice place to stay in paradise on earth. Thank you for renting to us and we definitely want to come back next year. Have a great 2013. Hey Mr. Heckert. I wanted to let you know that we absolutely loved your condo. Actually we want to come back again this next summer and try to stay at least 2 weeks instead of 1. Everything was really nice and clean and we felt very comfortable there. My boys enjoyed that the pool was so close by and also the walk to the beach was so easy. Thank you. As a repeat renter of Loggerhead #151 on Sanibel Island, I can very highly recommend Jim's home away from home first floor condo. It not only has a beautiful beach view and large pool right outside the screened lanai, but it is also a pet friendly unit. The layout is perfect with the two bedrooms and two bathrooms separated by the living area. If needed you even have a pull out couch in the living-room. The kitchen is well stocked, washer and dryer in working order, and a bicycle rack is situated right outside the front door. Whether it be shelling, swimming, biking, eating, and/or just relaxing with nature, this is the place to do it. I will definitely return to Loggerhead #151 as soon as I can return back to Paradise! Hello James, We did indeed have a wonderful stay at your condo - # 151 Loggerhead Cay. Your condo was everything you promised, and it was truly like being in paradise to be able to walk right out the door of the lanai and onto the Gulf beach. The shelling was incredible, the birds were everywhere and beautiful, and I have never seen so many dolphins when walking on the beach. On one morning beach stroll, I was lucky enough to have one dolphin swim parallel to me along the shore about 50 feet out - I was too excited to take pictures. This dolphin was alongside me for about 5 minutes - incredible. We loved the layout, the updated decor, and the lanai was our favourite spot. With all the great seafood, flora and fauna, we felt we had found a taste of heaven on earth. i would love to return next year if we can arrange it. Thank you for everything. Our family loved the location of the Unit. It was close to the pool and beach. We had a family member who had been recently injured and could only walk short distances. I would highly recommend the unit for someone who is looking for first floor and short distance walking. Sanibel Island is heaven on earth. My family has been going to Sanibel for 35plus years, staying at Loggerhead Cay. This beautiful condo is steps away from the beach and on the first floor, which is very convenient and especially helpful for my parents who are now less mobile. Property was clean and lightly decorated and airy. Nice to sit on lanai and watch breathtaking Sanibel sunrises over the water. Bike racks outside door and pool close walk. Lovely island retreat. P.S. Owner made several upgrades and replacements after our family stayed for several weeks and made some suggestions. This condo is everything the ad says! It was so convenient to be on the ground floor. We could literally walk out of the condo and be on the beach in less than a minute! The unit had everything we needed for our two week stay. The pool and was wonderful as well. The beach and pool were always quiet, never crowded. Dear Jim, What a perfect place to welcome in the New Year! My husband and I stayed with our son in your condo, and we could not have been happier! The condo truly felt like a home away from home. We loved being on the ground floor -- my husband and son really liked being able to play on the lawn just outside the door -- and we were literally steps from the beach! The view of the sunrise from the lanai was just breathtaking. We were also happily surprised to meet so many friendly people around the complex and on the beach. I would also like to thank you for taking the time to leave me such a detailed message with information about Sanibel -- we took your advice on several restaurants (all were delicious!), and we enjoyed renting bikes and a pontoon boat while we were there, all on your recommendation. Check in was very professional and efficient. This was encouraging as it set the stage for what we hoped would be a great two weeks. Upon arriving at the unit we were pleased with the cleanliness and general condition of the accommodations. Everything was clean and the furniture was very comfortable. The location to the beach and amenities was first rate. We brought our bikes with us and did daily rides, so we got to know the island quite well. After two weeks of exploring the island and thinking about where we would stay when we came back next year we came to the conclusion that based on location and accommodation that we would stay in the same unit that we stayed at this trip. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend Sanibel Island and Loggerhead Cay unit 151 to anyone looking to have a great holiday. John and MaureenDid you find this review helpful? A nice place to stay. Clean and well-kept and the close proximity to the beach made it that much more convenient and enjoyable for whatever beach/water activities you are planning whether its fishing, swimming or shelling. The complex was quiet and relaxing and the unit was a convenient distance from the pool so that the kids could be easily taken there. This suited our needs nicely.Did you find this review helpful? We frequently visit Sanibel Island yearly. Our stay at Loggerhead Cay, Unit #151 was wonderful. We have stayed in several other units over the years and without question, prefer to be closer to the beach. This unit's location is excellent! The view of the ocean from the unit is nice. The master bed was very comfortable and the unit is very spacious and relaxing. The added amenities, such as beach chairs, location to the beach and pool, spacious kitchen, and washer & dryer in the unit made our stay so enjoyable. This unit also offers not only internet, but being on the first floor for my family is a bonus! We would highly recommend this unit! Had a great time and will rent this unit again! Thanks Jim!! I had a really nice time staying at Loggerhead Cay #151. The location and the view was awesome. Your kitchen is beautiful. The bed was very comfortable in the master and the furnishings are really nice in both bedrooms. The living room is beautiful and I loved the furniture. You had everything there that we needed. The condo was clean, comfortable and well appointed. We especially liked being on the first floor and so close to the beach. We found Jim Heckert’s unit 151 at loggerhead Key to be perfect We liked the layout, the service and especially the proximity to the beach. We easily could see the ocean. We had a wonderful vacation in Sanibel and your condo afforded us great views of the Gulf each morning while we enjoyed our coffee. We also greatly appreciated the fact that we were only a few yards from the beach. We stayed at your condo last year, and loved it. I sent you an email once we returned home, stating we loved the place. I emailed you earlier this year, but now am really ready to make the reservations as time is ticking. I was hoping on staying the end of June or July, and I was wondering the availability and the rental fee. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay in your condo. We like how close the condo is to the beach. It was very nice to be on the first floor and be able to walk right out the lanai. We found the condo to be very clean and well stocked. Loggerhead Cay is convenient to our favorite restaurants and other stores. I can say that we absolutely enjoyed the condo, found it clean and very comfortable. We had a VCR/DVD issue and someone was there within an hour and replaced it with a new one.
