We have done an annual summer trip to Montreal for the past 10+ years, and this condo is our favorite place that we have stayed. It is small, but ideal for 2 people, and everything is very new & modern. And what you don't see from the pictures posted is that the exterior of the building is very cool & edgy; I believe the architect has won awards for the design. The location of the condo is superb, just north of Ave. Mont-Royal, and in between St.-Denis and St.-Laurent. You really don't even need your car, as you can walk to most everything and/or use the nearby Metro. Isabelle was an absolute pleasure to work with, and had the nice personal touch of meeting us both upon our arrival & departure. We would highly recommend this condo for 1 or 2 people who want to spend some time in the heart of Montreal. My wife, son and I stayed at this condo for 5 nights and couldn't have been more pleased with our accommodations. We've rented through vrbo many times in various cities in Canada and the US and this was by far our best experience. Great value! The location is great - in the heart of the Plateau district with many, many great restaurants and shops. A very hip and lively district that is centrally located. A metro (subway) station is a few blocks away and you don't need a car. As for the condo itself, it is air conditioned (a must for the summer), new and very clean, and with all the amenities you could ask for. All appliances are new and every small detail is looked after. We have recommended this condo to our relatives in Quebec and will be sure to stay there for our next visit to Montreal.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

My wife and I spent 6 days in Montreal in June on holiday - our first visit to this city. We wanted an affordable, neighborhood base where we could explore the city from with no car. This charming studio apartment in one of the coolest neighborhoods anywhere was exactly the ticket! It is located just a few minutes walk to the metro, so commuting throughout the city was a breeze with easy access to vieux montreal, down-town, and everywhere else. I was surprised however at how much we did not use the metro because nearly everything we did was walking distance! Even a walk downtown to the Jazz Festival was easy (although we did take the metro back up the hill afterward later that night). The neighborhood had everything! Lot's of shops, grocery stores, restaurants, cafes, parks, etc... within easy walking distance. We also rode the "bixi" system (a local "short trip" bicycle rental system incorporated into the public transit services) several times when we wanted to get around as there is a bixi station right around the corner. The location is superb! The apartment itself is attractive, well appointed, and comfortable. Isabelle's friendly and efficient service was outstanding throughout the process. From arranging the occupancy dates and payment terms to meeting us with the keys, to refunding our security deposit, she was prompt, friendly, efficient and professional. Because we don't speak french, her kindly and quick use of her excellent english made arranging our visit easy. As a matter of fact, everywhere we went in the neighborhood and the city we met people who were very friendly and quick to smile at our botched french greetings and either speak to us in excellent english or find an associate nearby who could. Nearly everyone there it seems is bi-lingual, an obviously highly educated population! Whatever tired old rumors we'd heard about locals not being friendly to non-french speakers were simply not true in our experience of traipsing all around local neighborhoods (usually far away from the main tourist haunts) for 6 days. While this space is not large, it is very cozy and comfortable and was absolutely perfect for the two of us and our aim to burrow deeply into the culture and ambience of Montreal. Isabelle, her cozy apartment, the Plateau neighborhood and the whole city exceeded our expectations. We will try to get back to this neighborhood and this apartment again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

Short, pretty, walking distance to all the boutiques and eateries the Plateau offers. Every inch of the condo was in immaculate condition. Every amenity available and working. Sparse but tastefully furnished. Plenty of room for my family of three for one week. Great outdoor space. Isabelle was gracious and generous with her time, even finding a babysitter for us at the 11th hour. The only drawback would be the noise level. Given the sparse furnishings, every pin dropped was heard. Nothing that a few area rugs wouldn't solve however. All in all, highly recommended.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, people with disabilities.

I spent over a month researching vacation rentals for our week long trip to Montreal (I'm picky!) and finally decided on this one. We were not disapointed! The apartment sits back from the street on the other side of the courtyard so it was very private and quiet. Yet, only 3 blocks from all the action on St Denis and only 4-6 blocks from the Laurier and Mont-Royal metro stations. Very modern and clean complex too. Isabelle thought of everything for the apartment - from tourist brochures to bathrobes:) I would definately recommend it to others and choose this rental again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

My partner and I stayed in this apartment for nine nights in April 2011. We recommend it a lot, and would happily stay there again. It's on the ground floor of a modern low-rise block, set back from a quiet residential street. It was very clean, practical, and one of the most well-equiped apartments we've stayed in. There are plenty of wardrobes, cupboards and drawers. The WIFI/internet connection was fast and reliable. It's capped, so you'd have to make arrangements if you wanted to do lots of video streaming. As has been said, Isabelle, the owner, is charming, friendly and welcoming. From booking to leaving, everything was straightforward. The neighbourhood, Plateau Mont Royal, is lovely. If you want to be with the locals, away from the tourists and big hotels, this is the place for you. We hardly went downtown. The apartment's a great base for loads of short and longer walks - walking to the top of Mont Royal was particularly enjoyable - and it's round the corner from the lively streets of St Denis, Mont Royal and St Laurent. The Laurier metro station is just a five-minute walk away.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

I recently had the pleasure of staying in the condo for a week in August and couldn't be more pleased. The owner was extremely accommodating and courteous, spoke wonderful English, and made our stay a memorable one! The condo is "as advertised" (actually, it exceeds what the pictures show) , with brand new appliances, a beautiful garden setting providing much natural light through the all-glass front and back walls, and is in the heart of the desirable Plateau area. The location is perfect for countless restaurants and cafes, and is an easy walk to other trendy areas such as Mile End/Outremont, the Latin Quarter, and Mont Royal Park. Within a few blocks is the subway station to take you to Old Montreal, the Botanical Gardens (the best in the world), and beyond. After visiting downtown and Old Montreal, we felt lucky to stay in the Plateau and would stay there again! If you wish to avoid crowds of tourists and McDonalds on every corner, stay here in the quiet (but lively), welcoming Plateau!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

EXCELLENTE EXPERIENCE LOCATIVE A TOUS EGARDS. Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities.

We stayed here for a wonderful long weekend in Mtl. Beside the fabulous location for anyone who knows Mtl (and for those who wish to) this Condo is immaculately clean, tidy and comfortable. Our gracious hostess cares very much about her guests comfort and can help with directions and advice. It literally felt like a home away from home. If my home was only as nice as this Plateau gem.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car.

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful condo for a week in May. It is exactly as described! It is brand new in feel, high end appliances, fixtures, bedding, air conditioned and the bathroom has a very large walk in glass shower ( no tub).. the condo is.absolutely spotless and quiet. The owner is a lovely lady, very helpful when we arrived and walked us through the space. Her English was far far better than our French!. We walked from there every day to all the shops, restaurants, even to Old Montreal ( quite a long walk but beautiful). Terrific area to stay in! We will be going back next year for sure. We would have no hesitation recommending this condo to any visitors.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The Plateau is characterized by brightly-coloured houses, cafés, book shops, and a laissez-faire attitude. It is the location of some famous attractions on Saint Lawrence Boulevard, including Schwartz's Deli (famous for its Montreal smoked meat), and a weekend street fair during the summer that sees extremely crowded streets. In 1997, Utne Reader rated it one of the 15 "hippest" neighbourhoods in North America. (from Wikipedia January 2010)
