We were definitely "wowed" with our first time Aruba experience. Thank you Will and Juan! From the first information email to our welcome home email it was an amazing, informative and pleasant holiday! We loved meeting Juan at the airport and his guidance throughout our holiday stay. Will -you were on top of every question plus provided us with an amazing list of restaurants. We loved the house and all the extras and comforts of "home" such as beach chairs, coolers, grill, beach towels ,snorkel gear, mobile phone, laptop, wifi, house phone, backyard deck, TV (if you think you need one),laundry facilities and just everything imagineable in the kitchen that we could possibly need! The miles we managed to put on the Explorer odometer were immensely enjoyed- we loved our independance to go and explore! What a beautiful Island- so many nooks and crannies. We had the pool basically to ourselves and were impressed with the cleanliness. We enjoyed meeting the neighbourhood kids, adults and dogs too- loved learning about local education and culture. Such a friendly neighbourhood! All you need to bring is your bathing suit ,sunscreen and sense of adventure. We highly recommend the Canuku House for vacation rental- you won't be disappointed :-)
Owner response:Thank you Lori for sharing your Aruba experience. The island and area certainly has a very unique and special charm. We look forward to seeing you again soon!! Best wishes Will

We had a wonderful time in Aruba--the house had just about everything we could need--plenty of room, well equipped and clean. Having the vehicle made it so easy for us to explore and the kids put the snorkel gear to good use. The pool area was very nice and 99% of the time we were the only ones there. Juan was very nice and helpful and it was so great to have someone to pick us up and show us around the island a bit. We look forward to returning! Thank You so much Will and Juan!
Owner response:Thank you Melissa - We are so glad to hear that you had a wonderful trip to Aruba and you made your self at home during your stay in the Canuku House. We look forward to your return and hosting you again very soon!! Best Wishes

We had the pleasure of staying at this house for 1 week during our very first visit to Aruba. It was a perfect setting for our quiet family of 3. Lots of room, all the conveniences of a home-away-from-home. Both Will and Juan are excellent hosts. They were available and helpful every step of the way. If you have reservations about privacy at the community pool, put them aside - we went there almost everyday in the afternoon and the only other person we saw was the maintenance man. The bonus use of the vehicle to explore the island with puts the value of renting this house over the top. The laundry machines, the snorkel gear, the beach chairs, the BBQ and the soft sided coolers for the beach (and other excursions) are more valuable amenities that will save you hundreds of dollars. This vacation rental comes highly recommended - you won't be disappointed.
Owner response:Chris - thank you again for choosing the Canuku House for your very first visit to Aruba. I am so excited that you and Andrea enjoyed your stay and that your Aruba experience was so memorable. We look forward to hosting you again soon!! Cheers, Will

This is our second time using VRBO for our vacation accommodations. The Canuku house was everything we excepted it to be and more. Having the option for a vehicle included with the rental was extremely appealing and ultimately influenced our decision of this rental over others. Additional amenities such as a full kitchen, grill, laundry, swimming pool, towels and beach supplies were available for use during our stay. Having the ability to cook our own meals allowed us to spend money on other areas of our vacation. As a family of 4, it was nice to have 2 bathrooms and each our own bedroom for sleeping. A short 10 minute commute to many of the local beaches makes this rental close to everything you need. Will was helpful in answering any questions we had regarding the rental prior to booking and in the pre-arrival stages of our trip. Juan picked us up from the airport and ensured we were comfortable with the place upon our arrival. I would recommend this rental to anyone considering visiting Aruba.
Owner response:Hi John - welcome home!! Thank you very much for choosing the Canuku House for your Aruba vacation. I am so pleaseed that everthing met your expecations and that you and your family had a wonderful vacation!! Cheers - Will

Will, Sorry I've been meaning to get back to you! Yes, all of our needs and more were met. Aruba is a wonderful island. I can understand why you chose a house there. The house is perfect! It is close, 3-4 quick miles, from everything! The home is very charming, the bedrooms and living areas furnished well. The property manager, Juan, was always readily available when we needed him or just had a question. We really loved the back veranda, and would have loved to use the grill but didn't get that far! Having a washer and dryer were a huge plus. Having the beach towels furnished, as well as cell phone usage were also nice. The home set-up for any vacationer is more than you'd ever need. Aruba, that would take me more time and thought to describe, and am sure anyone traveling there will find their own experiences to recall. Thanks for all the correspondence. Paul and Abby L Macon, MO

We arrived home Sunday evening on schedule after a mostly uneventful flight and found everything in order around the house. So ended a most memorable trip and sojourn in Aruba. A wonderful stay in Aruba, due mostly to the perfect accommodations in the "Canuku House" and the mobility afforded by the use of the Explorer. The car took us in comfort to all the sights including the road through Arikok Park and past the windmill farm to Baby Beach. The only attractions we skipped were the casinos and the water sports like jet skiing and parasailing. We also mostly bypassed the restaurants for more economical and healthful home cooking in the well-equipped kitchen (sorry for the broken bowl). Juan, it was a great pleasure knowing you and we deeply appreciate your attention to our every need. We hope we left the house for the next tenants in as good condition as we found it. Thank you for everything. Sincerely, Dan P & Myriam T Las Cruces NM

Hi we stayed at the Cunucu House March 5th-9th,2010, and had a wonderful time! we met Juan ( The Caretaker) at the airport who not only drove us to the home, but also provided us with great insights of where to do your food shopping, what roads lead where, how to get anywhere on the island, etc..he is an invaluable resource for visitors to the area, providing you with as much information as you'd ever need!!) The location of the home could not better, it's within a (very) short driving distance of the main resort areas of Eagle and Palm Beach, yet far enough away for peace and quiet. We like staying in vacation rentals for this purpose, but also to get a glimpse of local life, etc ( I wouldn't stay in an all-inclusive compound if you paid me - you don't meet the locals that way!) ..we would drive up to the resorts every night, and it was always easy to park..ask Juan to show you the best spot - it's right in front of the beach..Sunsets on Sunday nights at Eagle Beach are something special - filled with locals who come out to enjoy the day off ( in Aruba, everything shuts down on Sundays ) Directly across the street from the home is the neighborhood pool, which is perfect for swimming anytime! The pool is never crowded, and most days you'll have it all to yourself! The house is beautiful, the kitchen was gorgeous and the bedrooms were large, and with 3 of them, it's the perfect place for a family to spend a vacation! The back porch is a great place to enjoy a drink at night..and the A/C is ice cold. The neighborhood is quiet and filled with the pastel-colored Cunucu-style homes There is a baseball park just past the neighborhood, that is just perfect to take in a night baseball game! in the storage closet behind the home you'll find all the snorkeling gear you'd ever want, enough for a family to enjoy a day at the beach! All of the gear was in great shape and worked perfectly well! Many of the local stores sell underwater cameras.. buy them when you see them, because if you go to Baby Beach without one , you'll shop forever to find a camera in that area ( San Nicholas). If you plan to see Arikok National Park, be sure to rent a jeep - the water run-offs built into the roads there make it inaccessible for most cars.. the neighborhood dogs were a great bunch - very friendly , mostly lazy ( chillin' out in the shade) and extremely quiet - we never heard any barking! this home is just amazing, and it even comes with a rental car! a great deal!!
