  So many good things to say about this apartment AND Martina! First, the apartment: it's well-designed, nicely appointed, clean and comfortable. It's in the most perfect location I could imagine; so perfect that on many days, our own apartment was an easy stop for a bathroom break, or a change of clothes. (By the way, public bathrooms are somewhat hard to find in Florence and almost always cost 50 cents to one euro). One thing I always wonder about with a rental like this is windows. We like windows. This apartment has three nice windows, and we found ourselves opening them regularly to view the sunset, gaze at the throngs on the Ponte Vecchio, or just soak up the Arno ambience. Open windows bring the sounds of the city (street performers and Vespas), while closed windows bring utter quiet and tranquility. And now to Martina, who is a complete delight. She works hard to ensure that her clients are happy visitors to her city. She is full of useful information, and is willing to make simple arrangements like scheduling a taxi pick-up or making a dinner reservation. If you have the chance to meet her, you'll be charmed by her sparkling eyes, bright smile, and complete adoration of her home town. We stayed here at the beginning and the end of a month-long trip, spending nearly two weeks in this fabulous apartment. I'd return in an instant. It's perfect.

  My wife, teenage daughter and I stayed at this apartment which has indeed a lovely view of the Ponte Vecchio. A short taxi ride from the station, it is very centrally and conveniently located. It is tastefully decorated, quiet and comfortable. The lift gives easy access to street level. There is a good supermarket on the other side of the Ponte Vecchio and a variety of nice places to eat close by. Although we did not meet Martina, she was available via phone to answer questions or give advice. The apartment has a stylish bathroom however; we found that a number of fittings had become a little loose. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment which is as described. Overall, we would be happy to recommend the apartment and stay there again in the future.

  My husband and I started our three week Europe trip at this lovely apartment. After a long travel day from the states we were warmly welcomed to the apartment by Martina. Our first night was spent in the adjoining suite with the last 2 nights in this one. Both were spacious, clean, well-stocked and rather comfortable. The location can't be beat - right next to the Ponte Vecchio, close to the Accademia and Uffizi, in the heart of it all. The building itself was quiet and had a lift. We tried a restaurant based on the "suggestions" sheet left in the apartment and had a wonderful meal there. The laundry in the bathroom was nice to see, although we did not use as this was the start of our trip. The shower was spacious with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Wireless internet was helpful in finding directions, restaurant reviews and activities. We would recommend this apartment to anyone planning a trip to Florence (in fact we have already recommended it to friends making at trip soon). If we return, we will plan on staying here again.

  I can't say enough about our wonderful stay in Martina's 1 BR apartment in Florence. The location was absolutely ideal -- we were half a block from the Uffizi Gallery, and the Ponte Vecchio was right outside our fifth floor window. There was a nice breeze though the open windows, but the street noise was not a factor. We were treated to having the Mille Miglia run past our building our second day in the apartment....my husband took about 80 shots of antique roadsters and luxury touring sportscars from our window....and then went to the street below to get more shots -- truly amazing! Everything in Florence was easily accessible from our apartment....everyone walks, and Martina helped us get reservations for the Uffizi and the Academia which are best reserved in advance to save standing in long lines. She was also very good about giving us suggestions as to where to eat to get a more "local" feel. She was delightful. The apartment is quite spacious with a separate bedroom, and large living room/dining room combo adjacent to the kitchen, and a very adequately sized bathroom with a small clothes washer. The apartment could easily house two couples due to the pull-out sofa, but it was wonderful for two. We had a power outage one of the mornings but used a WiFi signal next door, e-mailed Martina, and someone was there in about five minutes to get us up and running again. - great service. The building is very old and historically important but completely updated with an elevator that can carry three comfortably. The kitchen is supplied with everything you'd need to prepare of nice meal...we stayed in one night after shopping at a quite large "super market" that Martina told us about across the bridge - what a selection of wonderful foods!! We bought torteliini, pesto, brie, great bread and wine and had a lovely meal in our apartment. It was just beautiful. We found great places to eat the other nights and never had a bad meal! The safe in the unit was very helpful -- no need to worry about our passports, etc. while out on the streets. I would certainly recommend this unit -- and Martina. She arranged for a taxi to pick us up very early the morning we left for the airport -- he was there exactly as promised. One less thing to worry about. Thanks again to Martina for a wonderful five days in Florence.

  We stayed here for a week in early May. The apartment is exactly as described; completely modern kitchen & bath, great dishwasher & washing machine, amazingly sound-proof windows and very functional WiFi. It is ideally located in Florence, and particularly well-suited to visiting sites on both sides of the Arno - especially since restaurants on the south side of the Arno are much more reasonably priced. We liked one of those recommended by Martina so much, we had dinner there on four occasions, with salad, main course and a litre of wine under 50 Euros total every time. The small supermarket close by was another plus. We also found the apartment convenient for day trips from Florence, using both rail and buses as the central stations for both are within a 20 minute walk. Martina met us in the apartment; let us use one of her European plug adapters as we had forgotten to bring our own; and made arrangements to get us a taxi to the train station on our departure. This apartment would be our absolute first choice whenever returning to Florence!!!

  We stayed here for a week in June 2011, and it was fantastic. The owners were very easy to work with, both setting up the reservation and once we arrived. The apartment was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The air conditioning was powerful enough to overcome the hot June afternoons, and the windows were soundproof, which helps a great deal when the Vespas are zipping by 24/7, four storeys below. The kitchen area was simple and straightforward, with all that you need to make coffee, breakfast, or a light meal. The fold-out sofa bed was excellent for our four-year-old daughter. This was my first trip to Florence, and my first experience with VRBO, and I would definitely stay here again.

  What a surprise to walk into such an exquisite apartment in an ideal location in Florence. A very comfortable place to make home while traveling. The views and light from windows are breathtaking. Apartment renovated by architect and wife; modern in a Florentine building on the Arno.

  Our family of three stayed in this beautiful apartment for 3 nights in August 2011. It is a very modern, comfortable accommodation, with outstanding views from its 3 windows. The bed is comfortable, and the shower/bathroom and kitchen awesome (yes, American style). The location is superb. A stone's throw from Ponte Vecchio, and easy walking distance to all the main sights, museums, etc. The wi-fi connection worked perfectly. We have no complaints about this beautiful apartment whatsoever, and feel fortunate to have found it.

  Martina, the owner, was very informative at check-in giving all the local information plus having typed out information. The apartment was in a terrific location with a great view--was beginning to feel just like I lived in Florence. Would definitly stay here again and reccommend anyone else to stay here.
