  The Great Tide house was great for our family of 4. Both our teenage children had their own room. The house was clean and had all the items we needed for a week long stay. The best part about of stay was the location. Just walk outside and you are on the beach, looking at the Gulf of Mexico. Very relaxing. Nancy was great to work with throughout the entire process, from reservations to payment to making sure we had a fantastic stay. Her customer service was outstanding. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and others for a great, relaxing vacation. We enjoyed going to the state park in Port St. Joe, taking a sunset cruise in from the marina at Port St. Joe, watching the jets fly overhead, both day and night, walking the beach, watching the sunset, but most of all, we enjoyed family time.

  This adorable house was the perfect place for our vacation! The location on a lovely white sand ocean beach couldn't have been more ideal. The house had a wonderful "beachy" ambiance and we loved the way it was set up - with bedrooms at either end that created some private time for each couple when we needed it. Our only regret was that we had to leave! We loved the quaint beauty and peacefulness of Mexico Beach and although there were many beautiful rentals, we feel it was probably the best house there!

  We made our first trip to Mexico Beach the second week in October. The weather was perfect, the water was wonderful, and the house was absolutely amazing. I could not believe how close we were to the water when we first pulled into the driveway. We have two boys, 17 months and 5 years. It was so nice being so close to the house when one of them wanted to go inside. We saw dolphins all day long and loved watching the jets flying over from the Air Force base. The water was crystal clear, and fairly shallow and very calm. The house was everything we needed for a trip to the beach. There were plenty of dishes, pots, pans, etc. and everything was extremely clean when we arrived. We ate breakfast right across the street at Sharon's several mornings. Yummy. Our favorite dinner was at Toucans. The steam basket and oysters Rockfeller were favorites. My hubby and I sat outside on the beach one night after the boys went to bed for about an hour. We did not see another person on the entire beach. It was so nice to be on the beach during the day and night, and not being crowded by lots of other beach goers. We would not change a single thing about our vacation, except staying a little longer. We can't wait to visit Great Tide again!!

  AWESOME! Great location, great house. It was very clean and laid out so that our kids were on one end and we were on the other. Perfect! Owner was very easy to deal with, would definitely recommend to anyone. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

  I was beyond pleased with the Great Tide rental property. When we arrived it was very clean and comfortably decorated. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 baths just as described. You walk out the door to a wrap around deck with a wonderful view, go down the steps and you are right on a clean, white beach; on a busy day maybe had 20 people were seen down the beach-line. Within walking distance were restaurants: a cafe, Killer Seafood (recommend the fish tacos), and Toucans (great snow crab legs) and a general store. Amazing sunsets. I was so impressed with this rental home and town that I will be going back as the work schedule will allow. I rate this as one of the top places I have stayed in quite some time. We had a relaxing, fun, private, and memorable time at the Great Tide. Well worth every penny!

  My new wife and I cannot begin to tell you how much we enjoyed Great Tide and how memorable our beach wedding was because of this house! We loved everything about it - it was clean, roomy and beautiful. We actually had our reception on the deck below the house and everyone talked about the perfect set-up of the house. Bottomline, we want to come back! My wife's favorite thing was either sitting around in between the stairs, the swing or the rocker on the deck. I recommend Sharon's Cafe across the street for breakfast too... Thank you Nancy - your house will be part of our new lives forever!

  Our family had the best time and wished we had reserved more nights! This property is all about location. Our days were on the beach and evenings were on the large porch watching the kids play in the sand and this was all without the encroaching mass of blue umbrellas. The house is simple but roomy. If you are looking for "luxury" this is not it but it is clean and everything you need is provided. Our families are from the Crestview, Fort Walton, Destin areas and liked the small hometown beach appeal of Mexico Beach. We hope to make future reservations and highly recommend this beachhouse.

  My wife and I really enjoyed our honeymoon at Great Tide! It was our first time to Mexico Beach and won't be our last! The house is right on the beach and has plenty of deck space to enjoy the sun sets! We enjoyed the grill, both decks and the love seat rocking chair each morning and night. A local grocery store is right across the street and had about anything we needed. I would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation!
