This cabin is packed with lots of fine details, furnished and remodeled with passion for details and style.

Roads are maintained by the city - the house is always accessible in snow season.  All work was permitted, all is to code by the letter of both the city of Big Bear Lake and the stern but loving and knowing say-so of Suzan.

The house is permitted by the city for an additional 750 square foot barn. The house and property are zoned as both residential and commercial and can be used as a rental property.

Big Bear is 100 miles from L.A. with skiing, swimming, kayaking, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, toboggan runs, snowboarding, ice skating, summer water slide, wildflowers, golf course and ... zoo!

Custom furnished and designed by Suzan Fellman, with vintage Beacon and Hudson Bay blankets, vintage curtains, vintage hardware, vintage chenille and American quilts, down comforters, European feather pillows with euro shams, linens, much decorative and collectible  Americana, Big Bear memorabilia, books, work by local artists, cross-country skis, a fine collection of vintage paint by numbers.

          Year Purchased: 2002

Why the Owner Chose Metcalf Bay:
I am a New Englander. Missed the 4 seasons. Skiing in the winter and boating in the summer, along with baking blueberry pies and lemonade, had me packing my weekend bags.

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
I am able to instantly deprogram from the daily city grind. The air is spectacular, convenient to the Village, skiing areas and marina. No matter how much snow there is, I am able to get in and out of the property as the cabin sits on the blvd, which is maintained by CALTRANS.
