I have stayed in Hocking Hills several times. However, I have NEVER had such a nice experience or place to stay at like the Beagle Inn. This was a perfect getaway spot for us and our dog. We have a Labrador, pit bull terrier mix. She was absolutely in heaven and so were we! Not only did this house have so much to do, but it is extremely close to Cedar Falls, Old Mans Cave and Ash Cave. Upon arrival the house was spotless. We felt bad because it was so muddy out so we tried our best to keep the mud out. We fell in love right when we arrived with all the amenities of the house. We wished we had more family or friends because this house can sleep a lot of people! We loved the on-site board games and surround sound! The home is beautifully decorated with so many blankets and towels! This is a home where you do not even have to leave the premises to enjoy Hocking Hills. We hiked around the property and found the most stunning overlook of the hills. This is a great property to celebrate holidays or special events with family and friends! I LOVE it because we get to bring the dog! We will definitely be back to visit soon!! Thank you so much Darla for the wonderful stay at the Beagle Inn!!

Owner response: We love to hear about our guest's experiences, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. As you could probably tell by looking around our property, we love dogs (and especially beagles) too! Glad you felt comfortable and enjoyed your first stay at our home. Hope you make it back again since you mentioned staying in the Hocking Hills region many times before. It is indeed a great place to spend time with family, and a place guest's don't have to feel guilty leaving their four legged family member in a kennel or at home with a dog sitter.

Had an amazing time this past weekend! First let me say I walked into the house and the pictures on the site do not do it justice. The house was so beautiful and very cozy. I didn't think I would be relaxing as much as I did but once I hit that couch I didn't want to get up. Will definitely be taking another trip down to this beautiful house in the future. Only tip I have is maybe put a big rug in front of the skidding door in the basement. We placed a towel down so it wasn't to hard to avoid slipping. Thank you again

Owner response: Thank you for the review, Adam. We are so glad you enjoyed your January weekend at our vacation home and plan to come back again! We feel it is a very relaxing place to spend time with our family & friends too! If I remember right, when you placed your reservation, you mentioned wanting a relaxing weekend where you could hike and nature explore, yet watch basketball games on DirecTV. Glad you met those goals! I will put another new rug down by that lower level sliding door right away. The problem is it gets stained so frequently (by hot tub chemicals on guests feet, and sometimes guests placed swim trucks on it that discolor the rug etc.). The cleaning crew throws them away because it doesn't look very nice sometimes within just a week of being a new rug. I will place several new ones in a closet for the cleaning crew "reserve rugs" to avoid it not being replaced right away when they get dingy and discolored by the hot tub entrance/ exit. Thanks for the suggestion! Darla- Home Owner

Six adults, three kids and two Labrador retrievers stayed here to ring in the New Year! Ended '13 and started '14 with lots of lovely snow. We walked all around the property woods, fields, and up and down your really long and scenic private lane. Also explored Old Man's cave on a warmer afternoon when giant icicles were falling from the cliffs and splashing into the river- OUTSTANDING!!! New Year's Day was warm and sunny, so the fire pit got much use as we watched the sun set. Saw cardinals, blue jays, hawks, vultures, nuthatchers and heard woodpeckers! Many thanks for the well-appointed kitchen, the hot tub, and so many towels! The Mullins Family & Bess the dog The Cockeram / Hirt and Olly trio, Todd & Meg

Our family enjoyed our third stay at beagle hill last month. Sorry it took us this long to finally leave a review. We have loved every time we have stayed here at the cozy, well decorated property. The plentiful land is a huge plus for us as we live in Cincinnati and have houses all around us. The property has a feeling of peacefulness and tranquility. It is close to our favorite places in Hocking Hills. The Christmas Treasures and Wind-chime Shop, ATV world, the Inn at Cedar Falls, and Old Man's cave are all just a few minutes away. The kids like to walk to the general store for pizza and ice cream. Thanks for having us several times and we always look forward to our next stay at your property. -The Thomas Family Cinci, Ohio

We brought a group of 9 to our trip at All Seasons Lodge. It was our first stay in the Hocking Hills area and we were very pleased with the location, very nice furnishings, the amenities and overall cleanliness of the home. We loved the card table in the lower level of the home and used the patio, deck & fire pit every night. We look forward to planning another trip to the property next year. Many thanks for an excellent stay.

Our family of 11 recently got back from a 6-night stay at your property. Its proximity to all the area attractions was extremely convenient. We loved the interior of the house, but spent most of our time outdoors. The peaceful surroundings, nature sounds, fire pit, picnic shelter, and hot tub were very relaxing for us. We look forward to coming back again sometime.

My wife and I decided to get married in Hocking Hills this past June. We wanted our wedding party to stay with us and while looking for lodging stumbled onto the Beagle Hill Lodge. It was a perfect fit for the group we had. We also needed a place big enough to have our wedding guest come back to for our reception. Looking at the pictures it looked like it would work but we wanted to make sure so we called 4Seasons and they allowed us to come down to check out the property on a day when no one was there. We loved the place and it had plenty of room for us to have our reception. While we were finalizing our wedding and reception plans we began to have concerns on what we would do if it were to rain on our wedding day. We noticed a pole barn on the property but it was just used for storage. I called and asked if it would be possible to use the pole barn in the event of rain. I spoke with Darla and she immediately agreed to get the barn cleaned out for us and was extremely helpful. They did an awesome job and hung up lights, fans and had the whole thing cleaned out.The weather ended up being very nice but we decided to use the barn anyway, as it was all cleaned out and ready to go. We had about 50 adults and 25 kids at our reception and the barn was absolutely perfect. I talked to Darla several times over the coarse of 2 or 3 months leading up to the wedding and she was awesome. She helped make our wedding a day to remember forever and I cannot say enough thanks for all of her help. The property itself was also awesome, very clean and functional in every aspect. The barn was a big hit for our guests and we danced the night away :) Thank you 4seasons for a great wedding week for me and my wife and all of our friends and family. We couldn't have had a better place to do this at and will be forever in our memories.

Owner response: It was our privilege working with such a nice couple. Of all the places you could have chose to have your wedding in Ohio, we are honored you chose our property! We are so glad you ended up with perfect wedding weather, but still chose to use the barn on the grounds. For future guests knowledge, All reservations that require allowing extra guests to come for an event require a damage deposit, event contract and rental of portable toilets outside by the barn to avoid excessive flushing of toilets in the lodge that would likely cause damage to our septic system. We really appreciate how nice you left both our beagle hill lodge and glass house on check out and we couldn't even see any traces in the barn of a 75 person event. That was really nice and SO appreciated! We would LOVE to host your family again sometime, maybe for a future wedding anniversary! Thank you so much for e-mailing us some of your special day photos! We especially loved the one of all of you with the family dog that came along for your "destination wedding"! We posted it on our 4 Seasons Hideaways Facebook page!

After looking at the photos and the amenities our group of 9 friends concluded that the Beagle Hill Lodge would be great location for our yearly trip to Hocking Hills. The lodge was clean and well maintained although it is a little smaller than the pictures dictate. There are nice sized rooms but the fifth is pretty small. As avid Buckeye fans (and one Fightin’ Irish fan) we were particularly looking forward to the 110” screen in the basement for the football games that weekend. This was the deciding factor in choosing this house. Around 6 pm on the first night we noticed that the bulb had burned out in the projector. We called the contact number for assistance and they said they would be out the next day to check it out. Immediately we were concerned that our game watching would be ruined because these types of bulbs usually need ordered online. The staff arrived about 10 am to look at the projector but wasn’t able to remove the bulb. One staff member called her husband for assistance, he also wasn’t able to remove it so a person in our group worked to remove it. After removing the bulb there was any indication of the type so the husband left. We found the box for the projector and left a message for the staff with the model number. We didn’t receive any updates about the bulb and were finally told late Friday night that they could not locate a replacement but would continue searching at let us know the results. No other update was given. They said the bulb was working fine when the staff cleaned on Thursday (insinuating that we broke it?) and they were going to do anything else because the broken TV was OK within some “guidelines”. These types of bulbs don’t just stop working..they gradually get worse over time. The staff should have seen degradation and had a another bulb on hand. This level of customer service was lacking. Repeatedly telling us that it is within the “guidelines” was no help. A couple of suggestions would be to add a rug near the basement door that leads to the hot tub. Water accumulates near there and having a rug will reduce the possibility of someone falling (2 people in our group fell). The bullet about a “deck with grill” is not accurate; there is a deck but the grill (the kind you see in a public park) is located near the picnic tables. Overall the house is good but the service left a sour taste in all our mouths.

Owner response: In response to this review, we unfortunately did not have an extra projector bulb on site. Knowing what we do now, that would have solved the problem, and we take full responsibility. In 2012, we used a local property management service, and we are sorry if they didn't respond to guest's satisfaction. Since then, we manage our vacation property ourselves for optimal results. The projector bulbs typically last "1,000 hours" from install as all previous years but in 2012, the brand new bulb only lasted 90 days vs. a full year as all previous times. That threw us a curve ball we weren't ready for. To avoid that inconvenience to guests again, as well as all the technical issues guests had trouble operating the projector, we removed it all together, and replaced with a large 60 flat screen wall mounted LED TV. It has been great, and creates less possibility of inconvenience for guests. The projector was a well intended idea, but it ended up not being practical for a vacation rental home that hosts lots of unsupervised children in the lower level of the home. Many times, children would hook their video games up to it, then accidentally leave with our cables to the projector, break the components, or place the projector on settings such as sleep mode that would create technical difficulties for next guest and so on. In one case, there was crayons placed inside of the projector mounted on the ceiling above the sectional sofa. At that point, it became clear we needed to put something else in place. We seemed to be getting it serviced at a high per trip cost frequently for a pretty new and very expensive electronic for malfunctions and "misuse" and "abuse" per tech support reps. We are happy the projector is no longer an issue for our guests, yet they still have the 2nd large flat screen TV in the lower level to enjoy different programming than the one upstairs.

Our children and grandchildren met us at Beagle Hill Lodge as a central lodging destination for all of us spread all over Ohio. We were immediately impressed upon arrival with the abundant LED interior/ exterior lights, making it a scenic place to enjoy our Holidays together. The home and land were so scenic and private, it is hard to describe how peaceful and much appreciated it was. The double ovens were perfect for our home cooked meals and we really appreciated the large farm table! Our grandkids fell in love with the movies and projector in the evenings and they also told me they liked the board games provided in the lower level. We were all impressed with the lay out of your farmhouse, having 5 bedrooms and 4 baths was a treat. The home was very cozy, very nicely kept, clean and decorated. We'll be back again for sure! It was very conveniently located for us to dine at The Inn at Cedar Falls one night, hike Old Man's Cave and attend the Lantern Tour and Caroling at Ash Cave. Our son and daughter-in-law took the kids on the Santa Express train ride and they loved it! Thank You for sharing your home with us. Andy, Vicky and Family

About the owner: We were thrilled when we stumbled across this 50 plus acre property on our regular Hocking Hills travels to the State Parks. My husband and I, our two sons live and work in the city of Columbus, just one hour away. We have enjoyed many trips to the Hocking Hills over the years, and wanted a place to gather with friends and family not too far of a drive! Mission accomplished when we found the Beagle Hill Lodge (farmhouse). It is so close to all the region has to offer. A short car ride to Old Man's Cave, Cedar Falls, The Rock House, Ash Cave, hiking trails, ATV trails, fishing, kayaking, spa services, zip lining, our favorite local restaurant The Inn at Cedar Falls, we knew we had to jump on this property or it would be gone! The lay out of the land is so peaceful and relaxing. My favorite pass time is watching the wild turkeys and plentiful deer stroll by while I am sitting on the front porch swing. We stay at Beagle Hill several times each year, and rent it to tourists when we aren't able to go ourselves. We hope others enjoy it as much as we do! We have met so many nice people along the way, regulars that stay at our home every year. The Hocking Hills is my very favorite destination in Ohio, and I consider myself lucky I was in the right place at the right time when the property became available for purchase.

Why the Owner Chose Hocking Hills:
Great Location less than 2 miles from Old Man's Cave State Park, close to zip lining, ATV tours and so many other attractions! Beautiful, beautiful land! Beagle Hill Lodge sits on 50 scenic and private wooded acres. It is right on the main route into Hocking Hills for convenience yet so private and hill top views are great to observe from the upper deck of the house. Deer and wild turkey roam the land regularly.

The Unique Benefits at this Farmhouse:
Hot tub, sand volleyball court, fire pit, the pavilion for family cookouts and relaxing hammocks, nature hikes on the property! Close by is more trail hiking, ATV riding, in home massages and traveling chef for special occasions, zip lining, canoeing, antique and unique gift shopping, photography workshops, cave and waterfall exploration day trips, family picnics at the caves!
