This private home is loved by its owners, and it shows. Annual upgrades make this not-your-typical rental experience. Warm and homey, with many personal touches and amenities. The open kitchen/dining/living area invites long relaxed evenings. TVs in every bedroom allow for retreat, if desired. Loft office includes broadband connection to the Internet. A trundle bed which opens to king bed size is provided in the office/loft as well. Separate closets and dressers provided for renter's exclusive use.
We would prefer to share our home for the winter season with one renter family... and that renter would get all the premium dates, such as Christmas, MLK Weekend, and President's Weekend. Our needs amount to about 2 weeks out of the entire season which we negotiate at the convenience of our tenants.
This is truly a home to treat as one's own. If you are considering a season share, this is the place for you.

Year Purchased: 1983
We are newly-retired ex-NYC residents who had a long career in the garment industry as textile artists. We continue to dabble in art and computer graphics. We are currently living in NJ primarily, but love to travel, so we might be found most anywhere.
Why the Owner Chose West Dover
We purchased this house in Vermont because we both love to ski, even though we started late in life. We also love the people of Vermont and the calm life one enjoys there. We have spent so many wonderful holidays at the house with family and friends over these last 25 years.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We love watching the leaves change in the fall. We love that we are close to the mountain for downhill skiing, but still around cross country trails and fabulous places to snowshoe. The small community where the house is located is quiet and away from the hustle of the highway. The house is set up for year-round BBQing, our favorite form of cooking. And since we both love cooking so much, the house is very well equipped. It's a most comfortable country home.

We, a group of 10 adults and 3 babies, had a fantastic experience at this place. As this is my first time to use a vacation rental, we've been a bit hesitant to decide a place to stay with only seeing its pictures, but when we arrived, we realized we chose the right place. 4 spacious bedrooms, 2 bath rooms, one loft and a queen size sofa bed in the living room. Enough blankets and pillows. Looks like the house is recently renovated, very well maintained. The owner, Patt, was very nice and accurate in everything. She prepared all the kitchen utensils that can be imagined, fire logs and BBQ logs, as well as several bottles of wine (we're not sure if the wines are for us, and we were very willing to pay after we opened it, but she never charged us). A nice BOSE home theater system is equipped. Electricity, heating and kitchen facility were perfect. Very convenient location, easy to find. Newly built Jacuzzi also. Definitely we hope to come again.
