  my wife and i went on a buisness trip. stayed the night of the christmas parade the observation deck was nice watched the fire work show and had a few drinks will defintly be back

  Decided to get away for a couple of days to do some fishing, was looking for an affordable place for me & my family and pets. Found these cottages on line. They were perfect! My family was impressed with the cottages, Cottage F was perfect and stocked with everything you could possibly need. It was clean and so comfortable. The BBQ pit and fully equiped kitchen allowed us to afford this mini vacation. We grilled and cooked our family meals and didnt have to spend a fortune eating out. there is a HEB grocery store and a Walmart a few blocks up. The rock port beach was nice and clean and also inexpensive to visit. the pier was free to fish off of, so it turned out to be perfect! We will definetly be going back and have already recommended it to family and friends! The owner was very accomidating, Loved it!

  My husband and I decided to take a short trip to Rockport to celebrate our upcoming anniversary. We have friends that stay in Rockport and talk about what a nice area to visit. We got on line and found the advertisement for the Candlelight Cottages and was impressed by the photos posted. Obviously photos are sometimes what you get when you arrive at your destination. My husband and I travel a lot and have stayed in serveral places across the US but have never stayed in such a clean and friendly place. When we arrived Lee had turned the outside and inside lights on, there was candles burning and a wonderful gift basket sitting on the table. We were blown away with how clean and nicely decorated the cottage was and the price was great. I talked to other guests and they said they had found the cottages to as clean and nice in years past. You are only a block or 2 from the beach areas and fine eating. We really enjoyed the rockers on the front porch which was a very nice touch. It was absolutely the best time we have ever had in our travels. We will be returning to Rockport and the Candlelight Cottages again. Special thanks to Lee the owner who made sure all our needs were taken care of and Special thanks to the lady who cleaned the cottages.

  Cottage was more than perfect! My husband and I brought our 4 small dogs and absolutely loved our stay. It was incredibly spacious, clean and comfortable...not to mention affordable. We really didn't want to leave. Guests in neighboring cottages were super nice as well as the owner who we got to meet when checking out. Cottage was very inviting upon arrival with music on, candles lit and a welcome basket. I definitely wont stay anywhere else from here on out.

  Nice cottages right across the street from Rockport beach and close to many restaurants and cute shops. We enjoyed our stay there.

  We found the place unexpectedly. It is one of the most pleasant place to stay. It was clean, convenient, and well services. We definitely come back to this place whenever we stop by Rock port Highly recommended

  My husband and I decided to take a quick trip to celebrate our 20th year wedding anniversary. Although neither of us had ever been to Rockport, we had heard great things about it from others. Most people described it as a sleepy, laidback, super casual place that had great fishing but warned us it could be a crap shoot finding a good place to stay. Obviously my concern was what type of accommodations would we be able to find with such short notice? I'm all about relaxing but very particular about staying in clean and safe locations. I found Candlelight Cottages by the beach online and thought I would take a shot at hoping the pictures and reviews I saw were even half as good as what we would find when we arrived. To much amazement, I was pleasantly surprised to find such a charming place with great attention to detail. Our cottage was absolutely adorable...very clean and had all the special touches you would find in a 5 star hotel. We opened the door to find candles burning, music playing in the background, a gift basket and our bed was turned down for us. We even had our own rocking chairs on the front porch with a BBQ grill. Needless to say, we never used the grill because we found a terrific seafood restaurant called the "Boiling Pot" just minutes from our cottage. If you like seafood, you must try this place. Be sure to get the "spicy" crab legs and crawfish...YUMMY!!! It was absolutely a wonderful getaway, we were allowed to bring our dogs and enjoy the dog beach directly across the street. I have to say, this was one of the best mini vacations we've ever had. We will never stay anywhere else when we return to Rockport. Candlelight Cottages is by far the best! Great prices and incredible accommodations...You are going to love this place! Laura and Ed, San Antonio TX.

  When we stepped inside our cottage...there was soft music playing, air was on 70, our bed was turned down, all the lights were on and there was even a "welcome basket" with all kinds of goodies and bottled water. What a nice surprise! The cottage was spotless, larger than I expected, well appointed, comfortable furniture and the WIFI was very fast. Plenty of towels, extra pillows, nice cooking utensils, wine glasses, etc. If one was cooking or staying for an extended stay, you would have everything you need. The grounds were very nice with heavy wood tables, barbecue pits and plenty of parking. It was very quiet and peaceful there, so we even sat out on the porch one night, since there was a nice breeze blowing. The cottage is walking distance to the water and just overall...a super place to stay. We met Lee, (the owner) while we were there and he wanted to make sure everything was alright with our stay. What a personal touch! We have stayed at all the nice hotels in Rockport, but I cannot imagine staying in a hotel there again, since I have found Candellight Cottages.

  A very clean property with meticulously groomed landscaping and a spacious courtyard for your vehicle. Outside amenities include a sturdy picnic table with tropical, grass topped umbrella and your own grill on your patio. Inside is spectacular. Super clean with comfortable furniture and pleasing aesthetics. Cable television for both the living and bedroom flatscreen. Coffee maker, microwave, utensils, everything you need to be comfortable and enjoy your stay. Linens are fresh and soft and the appliances are fresh as day one. Owner is very accommodating and pleasant. You simply could not ask for more unless you had a room with steps into the ocean! A+++++!!!!!

  This little cottage was everything my family expected and more! Traveling with a family of four, there was plenty of space in this one bedroom cottage. Everything is updated, clean and comfortable. Terrific location! Only a few minutes walking distance to the beach and shopping. Close to so many things, yet tucked in a quiet and safe subdivision. We particularly enjoyed winding down and enjoying the warm weather on the front porch in the rocking chairs, as well as taking strolls around the neighborhood. My husband and 16 year old son enjoyed catching some big fish on the jetty at Port A, while me and my daughter enjoyed the area beaches and shopping. Can't wait to come back - we will definitely recommend this comfy cottage to friends and family! Thanks, Lee!
