Our winter retreat: brand new, slopeside Kirkwood townhome with almost 2000 square feet, 3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths. It's a true luxury home, with the finest wood cabinetry, top of the line stainless steel kitchen appliances, large screen TVs in living and master bedrooms, beautiful custom tile work, polished granite countertops. Original art and fine furniture decorate the home.
Six barstools face the kitchen, where you or a personal chef can use the full array of spices and gourmet cookware to prepare a fine meal. The kitchen is fully stocked with dinnerware and unique serving pieces to serve large groups. Every window has a spectacular view of snowy mountains and meadows. Attached tandem garage parks two cars out of the snow and weather.
Sleeps up to 14: King bed plus twin daybed and trundle in master bedroom, Queen bed in second bedroom, Twin over Full bunkbed with Twin trundle in third bedroom, two Double sofa beds in living room facing fireplace. Sofa beds are extremely comfortable with good back support and no springs to creak.
The home also has a washer and dryer. Fully stocked with laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, and a variety of cleaning products. Iron and ironing board. Luggage racks. Laundry baskets. Hair dryers. Magnifying mirrors. Fluffy white spa towels. 1000 thread count fine linens on premium mattresses and pillows. Throws to keep you cozy in front of the TV. Large flat screen TVs with Blu-Ray DVD in living and King bedroom. Cable TV. Collection of 33 feature DVDs including kids movies. Digital piano. Wireless broadband internet access.
Board games, children's books and toys. Dining table expands to seat 10-14, plus 6 barstools. Fondue pot, ovenware, Riedel wine glasses, serving trays, tea sets, plastic kids plates, cups, sippers. Oils, salt, sugar, spices, coffee, cocoa, tea and condiments in fridge. Snow sledding toys in garage.

Why the Owner Chose Kirkwood
We have been skiing at Kirkwood since the early 90's, and love it for its great terrain, the best snow in the Lake Tahoe area, and low key atmosphere that attracts serious skiers and snowboarders. Now with our kids old enough to enroll in ski teams, we wanted a place to call home at Kirkwood.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
Our new home has a fantastic location close to the main lodge and chairs five and six: Solitude and Cornice Express - while we must walk (all of two minutes) to the lifts, we can ski back practically to our front door. Our home is luxurious, spacious and comfortable, and it's great to go home for hot chocolate and lunch breaks instead of battling daytrippers for seats at the lodge and restaurants. We park our car in the garage and touch it only when we leave.

We own two vacation homes in California - in La Jolla (San Diego), VRBO # 276841 for its great beach, zoos and dining, and Kirkwood (Lake Tahoe area) for the best, deepest snow in California. Both homes are furnished to be luxurious, comfortable and kid-friendly. We love spending time in both places - you will too.

What a great place in Kirkwood. Lots of space and the owners keep it really really clean! The super comfortable beds are a highlight. Great kitchen too. And the kids loved the toys and games and books. The owners are really easy to work with and super thorough.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your Kirkwood townhome. It definitely lived up to our expectations. Wonderfully decorated and outfitted with many high end touches that made our stay special. The skiing was pretty good too!
