This unique two-acre property, with heated swimming pool, looks out on the beautiful Russian River Valley vineyards and the never-ending Western panorama. This elegantly appointed, newly remodeled, 3-bedroom, 2-bath (+ heated outdoor shower), luxury cottage overlooks an exquisite new 40-foot, heated pool. Gracefully spaced steps span the entire front of the pool so you can lounge in shallow water enjoying a drink, reading, or simply admiring the view. On the grounds, a wooden bridge takes you across a winter creek to native California foliage. Enhance your enjoyment by playing outdoor Foosball on the deck or classic French Pentaque on the court nestled between vineyard and pool. After exploring the wineries, wind down by the fireplace. A sophisticated retreat for families and friends.
Enter property through our Malbec vineyard : Young, exclusive vineyard of 156 vines frame the entrance to our special home. Pear, apricot, fig, pomegranate, and walnut trees grace the two acre expanse. Indigenous, native oak trees circle the property, with six heads of free range calves across the creek on neighbor's land.

My 2 girlfriends and I spent a terrific weekend at Vineyard Vista. We swam, biked (they several bikes for your use), barbequed and watched beautiful sunsets from the deck. The kitchen was well appointed and the beds were comfy. The vineyards are close by and Healdsburg square is less than 10 minutes away. There is airplay through the TV/VCR for your tunes too!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Our stay at the lovely home in Healdsburg was fabulous. The setting is wonderful, beautiful sunsets, overlooking the vineyards. The pool was so refreshing on the hot summer days. We loved the open, comfortable feeling of the home, cooking, dining, and relaxing filled our days. The special touches made our stay even nicer, welcome package, robes in every bedroom, etc. We can't wait to go back.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

Open, well decorated cottage, with well equipped kitchen. We were comfortable and enjoyed the open feeling and the outdoor living area. Would be especially nice for a long weekend. Only drawbacks were only one closet, well water, and no air-conditioning (it was a hot week!) Yes, I would rent it again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The home is as described, and was very nicely located. Our family of 3 couples and one small child stayed for a week and found the living area large and the house quite comfortable. The outdoor portion of the house is beautiful and the front porch, grill, and pool area were well used by us and make for a great place for a friends or family get together. If we could have given a half star we would have but we gave this home four stars instead of five based on the water odor (which was fully disclosed by the owner) and which wasn't too bad on arrival but seem to worsen as the days went by and the need for better outside lighting from the parking area to the house. There were several solar lights lining the gravel drive/walkway (some working, some not) and finding your way up the drive/walkway to the house was problematic when returning at night. However, we had a wonderful time and would recommend this house for a family or friends gathering.Owner response: Thank you for the great review. Yesterday we put in new filters for the well water. Were hoping this will help. As for the lights well work on replacing/charging the solar batteries.

Vineyard Vista is a wonderful family retreat. We stayed with our 2 teenage sons who had plenty to do between the pool, foosball and bocce ball. The way the house is laid out gives everyone enough privacy and bedrooms on opposite sides of the house with the central area being open and cozy for cooking, hanging out and playing outside. We loved that the open floor plan allowed for lovely indoor outdoor enjoyment. The large deck off the living room/dining room has a gas grill, table for 6, comfy chaise lounges just steps from the pool. It would be a terrific house for 2 couples as well. The location is perfect for exploring Sonoma County and wine tasting. The kitchen is well-stocked and a pleasure to cook in. The style is Pottery Barn done well. The owner is helpful and accommodating, and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

The home is as described, and was very nicely located. In fact we walked to both the J and Rodney Strong wineries. We have visited the Healdsburg are in the past, and enjoy the town and the surrounding area very much. The owner had a very nice welcome basket waiting for us, including a bottle of his own exceptional merlot. There was also plenty of bottled water in the refrigerator. The bedrooms were small, but certainly adequate for a week’s stay. The bed linens and towels were very nice. The master bath was very small with no real location to place more than a few toiletries. The other bathroom was nice and large. The living area is large and quite comfortable. The wifi internet was somewhat problematic and spotty, but that may have been related to the stormy weather experienced in the area during our stay. The owner’s comments about water were certainly accurate during our stay. The water had a very distinct hydrogen sulfide odor. He is correct in saying that it is harmless; but it is not pleasant when showering or otherwise using running water. This is a condition that we had at our own home with well water. It is a problem that was easily fixed with the installation of a whole house carbon filter. There is no microwave, but all other kitchen related things were available, although we did not cook any meals during our stay. Some of the appliances (e.g. coffee maker & dishwasher) are clearly aging, and should probably be replaced soon. The outdoor portion of that house is beautiful, and we were disappointed that we could not make better use of it. Our week included only one non-rainy day. We can certainly imagine that the front porch, grill, and pool area would make for a fantastic environment for a friends or family get together. Probably due to the time of year that we arrived, there was a bit of an ant problem in the kitchen area. Not a huge problem, but certainly surprising. We gave this home four stars instead of five based on the strong water odor (which was fully disclosed by the owner), the minor insect problem, and the condition of some of the appliances. I would certainly consider returning, especially if our trip timing coincided with better weather seasons, such as summer or fall.Owner response: So glad you enjoyed your stay and will consider visiting us again. Thank you for all the stars. A brief response. We've installed a microwave The WiFi is now running fine. We've also reinstalled a computer at the house. We also have installed a carbon filter but have really not conquered the odor completely. In regard to the ants we have ant traps in the winter but its an ongoing battle in the country. Agreed you would love it in the summer sitting on the front deck and pool area. Thank you for your costructive comments.

I stayed here for my birthday and had a wonderful weekend. The house was very clean and the pool overlooking the vineyards was absolutely gorgeous. The location is a 5 minute drive to the center of Healdsburg. The owner is very responsive and even let me bring along my small Yorkie! I'm planning to return again.Did you find this review helpful? This was our first time using VRBO to book a vacation home. Everything was start to finish was perfect and easy. The owner was great to work with throughout the process. When we arrived, the home was exactly as it was presented online -- charming, clean, great location. The house was perfect for our group of friends who traveled to Sonoma for the Wine and Food Affair. If you are looking for a charming, peaceful, clean home in the heart of Sonoma -- look no further!! You will be extremely happy and experience the peaceful and relaxing wine country lifestyle.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.
