Blissful summer lakefront fun or glorious amounts of snow await you at Lake House. Whatever the season, this home gives you a comfortable, convenient base to enjoy your vacation.

In summer, paddle or sail across Lake Dulzura to the beach in our canoe or Snark sailboat, take a ten-minute drive across stunning Donner Pass for motor boating at Donner Lake, or river raft on the Truckee River. Fish, swim, hike, bike, or relax on the deck.

The property has direct lake access and 40 feet of frontage. Screened by trees, the view from the deck is superb. The property has a large outdoor picnic table and a hammock swings between two trees at the water's edge.

The house is located on the shore of Lake Dulzura, one of two small lakes forming the centerpiece of the Serene Lakes community. With no motors allowed, it provides a peaceful backdrop to the house.

The property owner's association maintains a sandy beach and a swimming dock 10 minutes from the house on foot or bike. A full-lake bike ride of about 2 miles takes a leisurely 15 minutes -- all on level roads with great views. The Ice Lakes Lodge is a full-service restaurant and inn, located next to the beach.

Lake House offers a two-car garage, a stunning river-rock fireplace for warm fires, a window-wall view of the lake, as well as three bedrooms and two baths in the main house. Flannel sheets, hypo-allergenic down comforters and pillows, and soft towels keep it cozy, and a fully-equipped kitchen (cookbooks, too) lets you plan great meals.

  • We loved our stay at the Lake House. We went for ski week and had a great time skiing 4 different mountains. The set up is perfect for 2 big families or 3 smaller families. It is very clean, well stocked and organized, cozy and perfect. There was tons of snow for the kids to play with, sled, etc. While there was no snow at Squaw and Northstar, there was plenty at the Lake House. We highly recommend it.

  • We spent 10 days in late August. Fantastic house great for kids and seniors. Very low key and quiet. Pack lots of grocieries as its 20 to 30 minutes to a major store. Great trout fishing. Pack water shoes for swimming as the lake bottom is mushy. Will go back!

  • We have nothing but great things to say about this cabin! Terrific location (right on the lake); tastefully and comfortably decorated; all the amenities you could ask for (including a large t.v. and surround sound); a huge, roaring fireplace; plush beds/bedding/towels; minutes from ski resorts; and owned by people who have gone to great lengths to make their guests' stay relaxing and fun! We can't wait to get back here next year!

  • We spent two wonderful nights, 12/29 - 12/31, in this lovely house, and wished we could've stayed longer. We thoroughly enjoyed everything it offered. The house is very nicely decorated and furnished in nearly new condition. It is well equiped with many modern conveniences (much nicer than what we have at our own home, according to my wife). The owners thoughtfully provided a folder containing pertinent info for the Soda Springs area and contact info for all prepaid services, like handyman, drive way snow clearing, fireplace log supplier, etc. This house is definitely at the top of the list for our next vacation to the Tahoe area.

  • We had a wonderful time at the Lake House. The cabin is very well appointed and comfortable. The owners are prompt and complete in their communication and follow-up. It was the ideal place to be for an exciting and beautiful Sierra snow storm! The lake was magnificentin the fresh powder and the firepalce was toasty! The whole family had a great time and would like very much to return in the spring!
